Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

Thanks Guys. Yep doing the diary this week for the consultant next week.
Didn't have many syns last week. No more than 5 syns, and some days 0
Anyway, new week, new start.

Good luck with our WI tomorrow Issy

Try a week with more syns, ideally you should have at least 5syns a day, these are factored into the plan, so if you have none, thats 100kcal you've missed, your body needs to be kept at a certain level or it'll go into shock & hold onto the weight. Try it next week & see how you go.

I've looked back over my syns this week & it ain't good, so if I get a STS it'll be a relief :)

I just sniffed a foxs fudge bar which I've never even heard of & i don't love choc, I had a conversation w myself as to why I shouldn't have it, just take one bite & b4 I knew it ... Gulp! I've a pulled muscle in my neck goin up the back my head s
& someone out sick so my excuse to myself was I'm stressed & the sugar mite help my headache & like magic it was gone. So angry at myself. Like the 'if u bite it write it' so true.

I've been in a tussle with a bag of nachos,it must be in the air, meal-wise my food has been impeccable, syn wise I've been off the richter scale & have no excuses really.

Ok let's make a pact no more crap food today :);)

Oh join the crew, same here, just can't resist eating $hite snacky stuff this week, weighing in 2moro & think I'll be in the same boat Hun.

So , working on upping my syns. Made porridge with milk this morning instead of water, so along with the milk in coffee during the day, minus milk for hexA that's 3 syns.
4 syns in the yogurt with granola had a lunchtime, and the 2 syns in the option hot choc i'm about to make, that's 9 syns for the days.

don't want to buy too many things with syns in for house, expecially so early, as don't want to have tempatation of eating too much rubbish then, and if it's not in house, well I can't have it lol

Sounds good Maria, do it for a week & see how it goes. You'll find your own rhythm as you get more used to & familiar to the plan.

Ok so I have to make a promise to myself that I will only weigh once a week on Wednesday. I weighed Monday and was 2lbs up after eating millionaires squares. Weighed today and im those 2lbs down. So this week sts thank god :)

My oldest is starting his first day in junior infants tomorrow and my 2nd is starting the ecce on Monday. So I will just have the baby so hoping this will give me a great chance to get out walking without sounding like a fish wife trying to get the kids to stay near me :D

Anyone else in the same boat. I saw a lovely recipe for sw chipper style curry sauce, has anyone tried it?

Is that The mushy-pea curry Redster? If so I'm having it today, it's fabulous, you have to blend it very well. Freezes good.

I stayed the same this week too after the syn-fest week I had, so have to refocus. Yeah it'll be so much easier from Monday when my 2 go back to school.

Is your son excited to go to school?

Izzy its just a curry sauce for adding to chicken or chips. I saw it on another site. I hate mushy peas with that curry seems popular.

We will have to get our heads back into it. My son seems excited but its going to be manic. Im also due back to work next week from maternity but I applied for additional time weeks ago and they still wont give me an answer so im a bit worried.

Hope they sort you out at work.

Gonna get the books out later & plan abit for the week. I hate mushy peas but this actually seems to work, whats the recipe for the other one??

Ah thats a great boost for your weightloss, stick the cert on the fridge :D

Yeah you can get scan bran in Holland & Barret, 2packs for €3.22 at the moment.

I used an aldi yogurt as I keep forgetting to stock up on the Mullers, muffin cases be a good idea, I'd say you'd need to add some baking powder to help them rise.

Howse your weekend going? Catching up on telly here after a fakeaway. Had fajitas & rice instead of our usual chinese, stuffed.

Sorry have been MIA, it was the hubbys 40th party at the weekend, plenty of food and drink was had, though I stuck to those Martini extra dry with diet 7-up which are only 2 and a half syns each so hopefully I didnt go too far overboard. Got him a black forest gateau as the cake as I don't eat it so was saved there lol.
How did you do the Fahijats??? Its his birthday today and was going to do them but with the Chinese leaves instead of the wraps, somebody had mentioned to me before that was the best way, any suggestions greatly welcomed!!
Will get my bum to my nearest Holland and Barrett too to get some of the scan bread!
Hope you are all having a good week :)

This is the recipe

Curry Sauce (serves 2 )

Spray Oil
2 large onions finely chopped
2 large garlic cloves crushed
2 level dessertspoons of curry powder (I used the Schwartz medium spice - IMO the mild is too mild and the kids won't eat the hot)
1 level dessertspoon of flour (approx 3 Syns)
1 level dessertspoon of tomato puree
1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 level teaspoon of sweetener
1 level teaspoon of salt
2 whole cloves
1/2 pint of chicken stock (add more if you like the sauce thinner)
1 dessertspoon of lemon juice (preferably fresh lemon juice not that Jif stuff)
2 level dessertspoons of Mango Chutney (I used Tesco which is approx 4 syns)

Method

Fry off the onion and garlic in the spray oil until soft (add a few spoons of water if you find it too dry and they start to stick)
Add the curry powder, flour, tomato puree, ginger, cinnamon, sweetener and salt. Fry until spices are cooked but be careful not to burn them.
Add the cloves, chicken stock, lemon juice and mango chutney.
I added leftover roast chicken and served with rice and SW chips. YUM

Thank you, I'll give that a try. Was watching a cookery programme earlier & thought of you, it was an eve's pudding, loads of fruit but need to figure out a SW version of the sponge. :D

Another vote for the mushy pea curry!! I too hate mushy peas ..... And onions and mushrooms, but I bought them all at the weekend and as long as it's blended you don't taste any if them in it. Took a batch out of the freezer last night to have for dinner tonight with some rice
