Well, I am in a brilliant mood, and I can only put it down to one thing - TOTM arrived this morning. Don't think I've ever been so pleased for it to arrive lol!
My hunger has gone, my mood has lifted, and not even those doughnuts I'm related to by marriage could upset me now!
I think the best form of revenge is to be HAPPY, and that's what I intend to do!
My life is good, I have all I want (though one more LO would be nice!), so I have nothing to complain about!
Had a LOVELY 1st Mother's Day, and have been spoiled by my baby (hubby of course lol!!). I also took my Mum's pressie's and cards over (got her one from Max too!), and she was thrilled - I just love to put a smile on her face! She's very special, my Mum
Saw my Sis, BiL, and their kiddies, well not really kiddies any more - Meg is 13 and Harvey is 15, yikes! Was lovely to all be together as a family. Sis is so busy, I don't get to see that much of her, so it was a really nice afternoon.
So yesterday I boosted to over 1,000 cals - my little experiment to see if it has an effect on the metabolism (carbs were 40g only).
I've gone over again today, as we ate out at lunch due to it being Mother's Day - only gone over cals a little, but carbs are below 40g, so all is good.
I'll also no doubt go over tomorrow as it's Mum's birthday, and we're taking her out for a meal.
I'm really okay with this, because I know without a doubt, it is impossible not to lose weight on anything less than 800 cals per day!
However, I am worried about this starvation mode thingy - if that is what I am in, it could potentially slow down weight loss as the body attempts to keep a hold of as much as it can to survive. In the short term, I don't think it's anything to worry about, but in the long term, I don't think it's a great way to treat the body.
I don't want it to slow down my metabolism either, hence introducing one day a week @ 1,000 cals, and no less. But NO MORE than 1,200 cals, as that could send me out of ketosis.
I'm going to try it and monitor it and see what happens.
When I first started this diet, I was a complete slave to it! I don't cheat, but if I go a little over on the 'allowed' foods, but keep carbs low, I know I can't go far wrong.
