Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

Morning all :) yes I am fine thankyou, and thanks for the encouragement :)

Little Ninja was a little unsettled at bedtime, but he settled before I went to bed and slept until 0750, which is why I have been quiet as by the time he had his milk and daughter had her brekkie and sent off to school etc so first chance I have had!

little one is having his usual morning roll about on the floor and looking awfully cute.

I haven't had anything to eat or drink yet, hoping to jump on the treadmill when he naps so I won't eat much yet, will grab a piece of fruit and a drink in a minute though.

Plans for today... usual breakfast, I am thinking HE wholemeal roll cut in half and made into mini pizzas with cheese, bacon, tom puree, onion and tomato slices, pork chops in chinesey marinade with rice and veg for tea. Add in some yoghurt and fruit for free snacks, not sure about syns, but I'll know when I eat em!

woohoo another session completed :) it was 2x 10 minute jogs today with a 3 minute break in the middle. I am wondering about how to attack my next session - which will be 25 mins! Now after last week managing 20 I am determined I can do 25, however... as I have said before my best time is mornings, and I prefer to keep the weekends clear. Tomorrow I can't do it in the morning as I have that pesky doctors appointment, so I need to decide between having an attempt tomorrow evening, or sacrificing my chilled saturday morning! The thing about saturday is that daughter wants to make it Fathers day as hubby was working on Sunday so she will be wanting me to help her make him breakfast etc. There is Sunday but he is working again so will need to work around the baba but I can do that I guess (I did it for a month lol)

Having read all that I think I am going to attempt tomorrow night, partly because I don't want to do it at the weekend, and partly because if I want to do this longer term I will *have* to get used to doing it in the evening. I won't put pressure on and if I fail I will write it off and do it Sunday? what do you guys think?

I munched a banana earlier, and just now have had my breakfast, 1 large strawberry (was all that was left) some blueberries, a few sultanas, an orange and a ff yoghurt.

ooooh those pizzas sound delish!:gimi: xxxxx

this is the same as mine, i wanted it because it takes up a lot less room than most of them, I can see it's not available new anymore though, hubby wants to get a new one because he can run faster than ours allows, I can only dream of such speeds lol. We can't afford a new one just now anyway, lots of 2nd hand treadmills on ebay though if you can find one close enough to pick up locally.

Lunch was yummy :) this was dinner....

Pork chop marinaded in a concoction including garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, sugar, chinese 5 spice powder, and rice cooked with brocolli, veg stock cube and some 5 spice powder. Nyum. 0.25 syns per pork chop due to the sugar, but that's fairly negligible.

so that was my portion, including 1 pork chop, hubby - who is 5ft 8 ish, and around 10.5 stone, had double the rice and 3 pork chops lol. Life really isn't fair!

I've also eaten various syns, jaffa cake, meringue can't remember what but am on 11.5 syns at mo.

Got Docs tomorrow so will see how that goes, I'm going to have to talk quick as I want to ask about 3 things, I've saved them all up lol. I have a (sorry tmi) fungal nail that refuses to get better with the stuff from the chemist, I have my wonky knee, and I have my wonky tum. What should I start with? lol

probably going to head off and chill and maybe have an early night with a hot choc. (getting old)

Thanks Dizzy, hopefully she can help with my increasing wonkiness.

Dare I ask why you were up at that time when you should have been still snug as a bug? I had an odd dream about a fleecy sleeping back with tigger on it! Can't remember much it's fading away. I don't often get to remember my dreams!

baby currently stretched out on my lap slurping his bottle, too cute and growing so fast, they sure don't stay babies long.

plan for today is normal breakfast with cereal bar as not planning bread today, perhaps a baked potato for lunch I think, tortilla pizza for tea.

daughter has just announced she feels a bit sick, having just demolished a bowl of porridge, I told her she can sit for 5 mins before getting dressed, then she lay down flat on the floor to change the channel on the BT vision box (remote control lost) so I'm not convinced after she lay flat on her tummy so easily lol, we will see. To be fair she loves school and doesn't usually want to be off, she cried last time she was ill because she couldn't go to school!

Baba is now playing on the floor and currently wrestling a snake, whilst ocassionally bashing a dinosaur, so I best go get my breakfast :)

At the high school open evening last night they told us we should send them in even if they feel sick/headachey/snotty. Basically I can only keep him home if a leg is fallen off or he's got the plague. It's tough being a teenager nowadays, you can tell her she's got all that to looked forward to at secondary :giggle:

Hope the doctors appointment goes well, mine moan at me if I want to talk about more than one problem, which is nearly every visit I go

Are you having a bash at the running tonight? Was going to say you might aswell try and get it done with to keep your weekend mornings free - I'm sure you can do it and you'll enjoy your saturday all the more for completing the session :)

I still haven't tried the bread-pizzas yet, must get round to it as yours look yum! xx

Good morning chick a dee, hope your daughter feels better! Mine is exactly the same she love going to nursery and cries if she has to stay home, they have a 48hr rule at our school so if she vomits then is ok she still not allowed back for 2 days!

My little bundle of joy is currently cuddling her 'chewy' (a muslin that she likes to chew lol) think she looks like she nay take a nap soon, has been up since 6 this morning. xxxxxxx

I think the 48 hour rule is pretty universal, it applies to all childcare and schooling around here anyways! Unfortunately when my daughter gets a vomiting bug she is strange and almost always seems better and goes for 48 hours plus then has a relapse! Thankfully she isn't often ill but it is a definite pattern with her. I stick to the 48 hours and hope for the best because you can never tell looking at her.

Lo I always send her in unless I can tell she really is unwell, I know myself if I feel snotty in the morning I feel better once I have got up and got going, we need to prepare our teenagers for living in the real world and we can't all be off work for a sniffle!

Right doctor update, had time to look at tummy and toe, not knee yet lol.

Tummy she says sounds like IBS, so there was a nurse appointment available today at 11 so I am popping back for blood test then. I also have one of those sample pots with a spoon in the lid but I'm not going to speak about that incase any readers are having their breakfast!

I also have another sample pot to provide a toe nail clipping to confirm what's up with my nail prior to possible tablets for that, which I also need a blood test for so, again today at 11.

I have another appointment with the doc for next friday when hopefully all results will be back so we can discuss further and she will check my knee.

Sounds like you've been for an MOT lol! Glad they are now sorting things for you hun, lol at the pot and spoon, i had just finished a bowl of weetabix before reading lol soooo glad:sign0137:.

That was really quick to get an appointment with the nurse ours take ages! Did your daughter go to school today? xxxxx

I'm sure that would be great for your health Doreen, You might find as time passes you can manage to jog a little further, and still walk back. Gardening is hard work, I don't like it :(

Hi Izzy not contacted you for some time. How are you feeling now. This quote was from 2 weeks ago. Need to catch up on your diary. Like you have said previously there are so many it is not always easy to keep up.

My garden is looking quite good now although it was backbreaking at the start. Think I overdid it and still get backache when I walk. But that will soon get better I am sure. Pthers are worse than me. Gonna catch up with the rest of your diary soon. Kids were up last weekend and coming back this weekend. They will be spending some good time with me. They love my wall. Fyne does her dancing steps along it and Flynn tries to copy her. Such delight to watch them.

Must get on, have some old bits of brick and stones to take to dump then of to Zumba Gold.

Take Care Izzy

I think it may have been a cancellation, it would have been about 0945 I was at reception so I can't imagine the appointment being filled otherwise. Although our surgery does seem pretty well run I have always been able to see someone in a reasonable time scale. Be popping along again soon, luckily it's only 5-10 mins along the road :)

Yes my daughter went to school, she never mentioned feeling ill again so I think she may have just eaten her porridge too fast and it needed a minute or two to settle, I can't imagine her being off school if she isn't properly ill but you never know when they grow into that sort of nonsense, she was telling me the other day that one of her friends had a day off school because she had argued with another friend, now these kids are 8-9 so truth isn't always told lol, but I'm shocked if the parent allowed that.

Glad I haven't put you off your breakfast Brittany haha

Nanny D, I have given up on reading diaries from the beginning and just follow them now from where they are, I bit off more than I could chew lol. It must be very satisfying to have come so far with your garden :) I have been thinking more about starting to sort my jungle but that's as far as I get.

I can imagine the kids playing on the wall I used to love that myself as a child :)
