Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

I've surprised myself every week, and am finally believing I can actually do it :)

yes I think it could feel like a long day haha, but I will keep busy and hopefully it will still be a good day :)

Hope your hospital appointment goes well, and thank you for the scan bran :) If I like it I had a snoop on amazon and it can be bought in 10 pack bundles so that isn't too outrageous I think?

I have posted the parcel for you 1st class so should be with you very soon! :) xxx

Thank you so much :) am all excited now I will *have* to make a cake!

LOL but of course you will!! you may be one of the brave/strange ones who can eat scan bran naked (the scan bran...not you I mean ha ha) but for me the only way is CAKE!

Well I've just sat down now with a cuppa and some ryvita, mashed egg & tomato. Hosp went Ok, just had my 3 monthly Botox with the neurologist round my eye and cheek to stop the face spasms returning for a while (stops me winking at random strangers lol) ;)

Going to eat my late lunch then have a catch up on the diaries before deciding what to do for tea - but think it will be a light/late one xxx

Glad the hospital went well and you are able to stop fluttering your eyelashes at strangers (unless you want to lol) I doubt if I will be up to munching it naked I can imagine it will need to be cake!

That was my tea, doesn't look overly appetising but it was nice. Cottage Pie, made with lean mince, beef oxo and tomato puree on the bottom, and mashed carrot, butternut squash and parsnip on the top, with HE melted cheese on top. Twas nice but I couldn't eat it all as was full up, not as nice as it is with potato though so I'll keep that for EE days in the future.

I spent the afternoon catching up with my daughters band books in between looking after the baba, I am treasurer at the band so my job to keep all the figures up to date. It doesn't take much time or effort to be fair. Was also watching Buffy the vampire slayer as my hubby bought me the box set for christmas, I'd never watched it in the past but fancied it so he gave it to me as a pressie, and I've slowly been working my way through, just about to start the last season. I don't watch tv otherwise so it's been a novelty lol. Will be back to music mostly once they are done.

Got Band practise for daughter tonight so will be toddling off to that soon :)

Ok I did phone the docs but their computers are down so I have to call back this afternoon lol.

I have my cup of tea after being held up be Jehovah's witnesses at the door, I don't mind a little debate but it went on a little long! So now I have a cupshot pasta thing along with my cuppa before nipping back for the baby and my visit!

View attachment 96205<<<< this is my herbal tea stash, sometimes it takes me a minute to choose. currently sipping green tea with mango and lychee, yummy.

My stash is bigger than yours, takes up more than one big shelf in a double cupboard lol

That is soooooo spooky!!!!! I have JUST 5 minutes ago shut the door to Jehovahs witness myself  I was a little naughty today though  After hobbling to the door to find them there and knowing I would have to stand very uncomfortably and listen politely to them yabber on I deployed my Dear old Dads favourite standby......'Sorry I'm Jewish' (I'm not, but my dad said this always got rid of them as it was a hard faith to try convert??):) they then shut their Bible said sorry for bothering me and left - Job done xxx

That's a bit freaky, do they use broomsticks now? lol

They lurk around my way a lot too along with the mormons, spiritualists and hare krishnas...I keep waiting to see them all fighting on someone's doorstep :giggle:

sooo this was my tea, chicken breast was nice and moist as it was cooked in chicken stock with a little curry powder, with frylight roasted potato, parsnip and butternut squash

and these, are wholemeal buns just out the oven

Everybody in this house seems to have a storming fast metabolism except me :cry:my 8 yr old has just demolished a whole chicken breast, a whole carrot, a double helping of roast potato, a pear, a packet of crisps, and is now munching on a hot roll fresh out the oven cut in half with chocolate spread, and there is NOTHING of her!!! not an ounce of chub on her tiny frame.

Nice buns missus :D

My son is the same but he only eats crap and just keeps growing UP not out lol I think he's a stage ahead in digestive evolution lol

Looks like a modest portion to me - nice to see lots of foodie pics in y'diary :)

Urgh, scanbran cake... :( I'll have them instead of toast with a sw 'fry up' and only if I cover them in tinned tomatoes or baked beans. Can't be doing with the stuff on the whole, oatcakes would be so much nicer if only you could hexb them :sigh:

I love Buffy (and the Angel spin-off too), the last season was really good... takes me back to my teens :D You can't go wrong with most of Joss Whedon's stuff really. I was thinking of buying the first season of Grimm to try out next as I believe it's a simlilar kind of show. I only really watch diet-body type programs on tv nowadays though like secret eaters and supersize vs superskinny. I'm wasting my money on sky, tell me off oh Frugal One

Have you had your WI yet or have I missed it? I had a lot of catching up to do in here again! xxx

oooh I'm gonna have to get more tea bags, can't be having my stash outsized, size matters ya know hahaha

As for the door knocking we only really get Jehovah's witnesses here, and not that often either so not too bad. To be fair I don't mind so long as they are nice people, because I don't judge people on their beliefs in any way, I do judge people on their behavior and how they speak to me or treat me though.

I might have to get the Angel spin offs next then I didn't know about that.

I was worried being on maternity leave that I might get drawn in to 'this morning' or Jeremy Kyle the like of which I really hate lol, but no, the tv is usually off unless I am watching a dvd or my daughter has kids stuff on. We pay for BT vision so I can't chastise you for being with sky lol it's a bit of a waste here as well but hubby likes to watch espn, and my daughter uses a lot of the features. We wanted sky, but can you believe they sent a guy out to do the instal and he told us we couldn't get it because a tree was in the way?!?! given that my neighbours each side and across the road and every house I can see around here pretty much ALL have sky dishes I really just think he didn't want to work that day. I really should have insisted on a 2nd opinion because I simply don't believe him!

I used to watch all the soaps years ago, but on the odd ocassion I see them now all I can think about is how awful the acting is, I don't miss any of it. The thing is there are things on TV I might enjoy but because we're never watching we don't see what is being advertised lol.

The tree story just seemed ridiculous, I mean surely they are called sky for a reason, as in satellite is in the sky? and the tree he pointed out in the distance wasn't out of the ordinary. I think we are cheaper with BT vision tho.

Its weird you should mention the trees izzy - when we moved into this house ( its a town house) that in the summer the trees may block the signal. It hasnt been too bad up until this last month and now some of the channels are pants lol so there may be something in what he says but it didnt stop them putting a dish on our house

The solitary tree he pointed at is a couple miles in the distance though, it just doesn't seem right!

Could you have your's trimmed down to help?

Actually my Sky did stop working because the big conifer in front of our house grew so tall it was getting in the way of the signal positioning - solution: they stuck the dish on the back of the house instead lol So the tree thing probably was true but your engineer couldn't be bothered using some initiative

My mum watches Jeremy Kyle :( And Big Brother... I think she does it on purpose 'cause it gets me doing a lot of childminder/EYFS paperwork for her to avoid letting my brain dissolve watching that rubbish lol

The trees are on the main road away from the house - I could ask hubby to trim them but at 6'5 I dont think even he is tall enough pmsl

lol, complain to the council they are blocking your sunlight!

LoChan I remember the very first Big Brother and I enjoyed that, but it's never been good since the first few times. I stopped watching when the selection process for the candidates was deliberately geared up for confrontation and trouble. That's not my idea of fun.
