Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

I don't know I haven't looked at the syns of chicken as green days don't suit my insulin intolerance! Beans are free on EE so it is a lot of syns for an original day I won't have them again likely haha! Anyway it might help my losses to use syns and HE's often during meals rather than extra snax.

Well my meeting went well, they agreed for me to drop my hours from 37 to 32 per week, agreed to the hours and days I have asked for, and the holiday dates I have requested. Also sorted out my childcare vouchers and some other bits and pieces.

Baby is being grumpy, I've never understood why something as natural as teething still hurts, evolution should really have sorted that out! He doing more crawling though too cute!

Food for today was as follows (although I haven't had my tea as going to treadmill once the kids are in bed)

breakfast: muller lite yoghurt, banana, pear

lunch: 2 slices HE wholemeal toast, some ham, 1/2 tin beans (OMG 8 syns as an original day!!!!)

tea: Chicken with small veg mountain

snacks: orange, jaffa cake (2.5) scan bran ferrero rochet thingies (2.5) Sugar in earlier cuppa (1)

current synage 14, and I don't plan to add to it. I will have my chicken and veg after my jog, and I can have fruit or free yoghurt if I am hungry later.

i did that with corn on an original day and had to use 7 syns on it:eek: lol xxxx

I also discovered parsnips are not free on original, where I previously thought they were, which makes me think they probably are only free as opposed to superfree on EE, so that's a possible flaw in my previous munchies.

I would have thought beans would be though because although they are vegetable based they are protein, but at the end of the day they will have done mountains of research into what works for the plans so I'm not going to argue the point lol.

yeah its the same with peas the only ones that are superfree are sugarsnap peas the rest are just free and syned on original .... so confusing lol:confused: xxxx

I like the petit pois! ....and mushy peas mmmm lol

I am having another hungry day today no idea why but ive just munched a bowl of fried rice as i was starving waiting on dinner - hubby in at 9pm tonight. I hate hungry days lol just hope they disappear before i hit the all inclusive buffet! lol xxxxxx

haha going back to the sugarsnap peas though I like munching them raw straight out the pack yum yum

I am now 2/3 of the way through week 8 of C25K :) I am soooo pleased I never thought I could get this far, I have done 2 evenings this week. I have to admit I am finding it hard but I CAN still do it. Hard is ok, it's impossible that proves a problem lol.

Was just discussing with hubby what I am going to do when back at work as it's going to get harder, but I think by then realistically I can only do twice per week, so if I choose wednesday and saturday those are both days I won't be working so should be more realistic.

The days I work will go a little like this.... up at 0630, feed baby, throw baby in buggy (gently), ensure daughter has everything she needs. 0705 leave house and walk to childminder, drop off baby at 0715, walk to breakfast club and drop daughter at 0730 ( wait to make sure they arrive as they only start at 0730) walk home and jump in van to go to work at around 0740, work till 1615, travel home, walk to childminder pick up baby at 5, walk to afterschool club pick up daughter at 5.15, home by 5.25. Tea 6-ish, baby bed 7, daughter bed 7.30-8 and only then can I jump on the treadmill....... who thinks I'm gonna have the energy for that?! No it's unrealistic and if I try to do that I am likely to fail. I don't want to fail I want to plan to succeed. So I think I must jog on my days off. I can do the routine hubby is putting together for me perhaps on one workday as it is only 20 mins. whereas my jogging is going to be 40 plus. I'm aiming to build to an hour.

right spilled out enough nonsense for one post lol

it'll be ok because now I've been able to drop wednesdays it will only ever be 2 days madness then a break :)

I'm worried if I only jog once per week I will lose what I have gained, and I NEVER want to be in the position where I can't even jog a minute again.

Evening hunni sounds like work have been good with your planned days and hours thats great.

I think you should change your name to Izzybee lol

I love Izzybee - so appropriate :D Your work days are going to be manic but, as you say, at least it'll only ever be two days in a row at the most. At least you'll have completed c25k by the time you go back to work so you can drop down to 2 sessions which will hopefully still be enough to keep to the level you've got to. It would be such a shame to go back now after all your hard work x

I maybe will change my name hee hee

Hubby thinks with the running that once a week might maintain my ability, but I will be static and struggle to improve, but twice a week I should be able to slowly build on it, so that's what I am hoping for.

Another day dawns.... don't have plans today until later, going to meet a friend and her 11 year old for a walk, going to have the baby all fed and changed for bed so he can sleep during our walk hopefully and won't argue too much about being transferred to bed once we are home.

Last day of school for my daughter, so the madness of the holidays will commence haha. She's going to stay with her Granny for a few days on the 11th, hubby is off 2 weeks from the 15th, and my mother in law and sister in law (who is about to turn 7) are coming to stay for a few days on the 24th ish.

I'm thinking of having a snoop and seeing how cheaply we could do a couple of nights in Edinburgh, we decided not to book hols this year due to me not earning at the moment, but I think we could stretch to a couple of nights maybe, if not we'll just have day trips like we planned.

Have a nice day miniminers :)

Edinburgh would be lovely for a couple of days, there's so much to see and do. I live so close to it but I'm hardly there - quite ridiculous really since it's pretty much on my doorstep. Next on my list is a trip to the Museum of Scotland which is supposed to be fab x

yes I've heard the museum is lovely :)

Not sure about us going for a few nights though, it would be around £60/night for a family room, so £120 before we've paid petrol/activities/food.

we do have the cash but to be honest I am probably going to be twitchy about money until I am actually back at work, it worries me that something big could happen that was expensive and we need to keep some money for that. I had a look at Inverness as well, it was comparable maybe £10-£20 cheaper. i wondered about maybe even just one night but then it seems like a lot of effort for one night lol

Will probably just have day trips, which are always good fun.

Yesterdays food is ...

Breakfast: banana, rasperries, blueberries and total 0% greek yog

Lunch: was yummy! 1 frylighted egg, 2 grilled trimmed bacon, 1 chopped up cooked small chicken breast (left over from the night before) courgette, onions, peppers and tomatoes, cooked in a little water with added curry powder and tomato puree all mixed up with some beans (4syn) the chopped chicken and bacon - and 1 HE toast

Tea was a naughty non event, as was out a walkie at the beach with my friend and the kids! I did have some cheese, ham and tomatoes when I got in though.

snacks/syns
scan bran bites (5syn), caramel snack a jack (2.5), beans (4), go ahead biscuit (3).

On the slow losers thread a lady has told me she was recommended with pcos to stick to 12 syns per day so I will start to do that and see what happens. Myfitness pal shows me as having too much sugar so I'm going to have a little less fruit - perhaps it's too much to have lots of it for breakfast as well as snacks quite regularly. I bought a pack of fruit n fibre, and a pint of skimmed milk. Had 35g cereal (HE) plus a splash of milk - I don't like much lol, and a banana. I'll use the rest of the milk for a milky hot choc tonight which will be 2syns. going to stick to 10 for the rest of the day and as I'm trying out red days I'll still have another set of HE's.

Baby is getting so good at crawling lol, too cute but into everything!
