Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

Hello all :)

what a scorchy day it has been here, we were along supporting the pipe band at a village nearby at a kind of gala/agricultural show. Was a lovely day in typical Mum style I made sure the kids were covered in sun cream but didn't get around to doing me lol, so I'm a little red but pretty sure it will just fade.

I also forgot I was supposed to do my jogging tonight but I have already had my tea so it will have to wait for tomorrow now.

Todays munchies

Breakfast - 35g fruit n fibre (HEB1) with little skimmed milk, rest for hot choc tonight (HEA1) banana

Lunch - pickled egg, ham, tomatoes, cheese (HEA2), lettuce, dollop branston pickle (1 syn)

Tea - homemade burger with onions, wholemeal bun (HEB2) with butternut squash wedges and a raw carrot.

Syns - ice cream 7, branston pickle 1, hot choc for later 2. total 10 for now.

Evening Izzybee lol - sounds like you had a lovely day hunni, good food choice too. You will have to jog twice tomorrow then ;):p xx

Hi Izzy, sounds like you've had a great day. Hopefully it'll be another scorcher tomorrow :) Have you anything planned? x

Hi ladies :)

yes it was a lovely day yesterday, it seems cooler and overcast today but our weather can change a lot through a day so you never quite know what you are going to get! No plans for today really other than my jog later. To be honest I don't like it too hot really anyway (just as well in Scotland haha)

Well this morning for the first time in 3-4 weeks (I've lost track) my scales actually went down half a pound :)
lets hope it continues down!

Happy Sunday minis x

Woo half a pound is great. Going in the right direction :)
I dont like it too warm either might sit out in the yard for a bit we will see :)
How long are you jogging for now?? Xx

This week is 28 minutes, tonight being the 3rd and last session of the week, so next session is week 9 - the last week and is 30 minutes!! not long now!

not yet, but although I still find it really difficult to jog 28 minutes, I now realise it's easy to jog say 10 mins? when before at the beginning I struggled with 90 seconds! Another interesting thing I *think* is happening is that it helps if I have a dodgy tum. A week or so ago I started my run feeling a bit yucky and wondering if I could manage and by the time I was finished I felt well. I thought it was just co-incidental but it happened again tonight. Natural remedy for dodgy/IBS tummy pain?!

Sooooo another weekly drum roll please.... I have completed week 8!!! :happy036::whacky068::bliss::stinkyfeet:

so next week is my last week of the programme I can hardly believe I have made it so far and now I know I can finish it!

Well apart from that, today has been a mostly chilled day, I was tired partly because I went to bed too late and partly just because I had a bad night. It happens ocassionally :( I get nightmares sometimes, thankfully not too often but they not good. 6 years ago my first husband was killed in an accident - he fell from a height, life has totally moved on for me and my daughter since then but I have a fear related to his death of falling. I hate it when I see people working on roofs etc I can't watch, and there is so much falling in movies etc it's hard to avoid. Anyway I saw someone fall off a building in a dvd I watched yesterday so I think it is what caused my nightmare. I won't elaborate on the details but my nightmares are always falling in one form or another, and the imagery and the actual feelings they provoke are very vivid. I am an odd character in so much as I can have really gory horror film type nightmares with monsters etc and wake up, and just go straight back to sleep because I know they not true, but don't ask me to sleep after falling.

Anyway enough of the scary negativity. I didn't feel too good this morning but I perked up fine after a little while. The weather got sunny and hot, and I didn't do much other than chill and a short walk to the shops. We watched some of the tennis and I kept nodding off but was awake at the end, yay for Andy Murray!

Then I did my jogging then I had my tea and here we are. I suppose I best update what I have munched :)

Foooooood

Breakfast - 35g fruit n fibre (HEB1) splash of milk (HEA1- rest reserved for milky hot choc)

Lunch - meatballs made with left over mince, chopped bacon, courgettes, onions, peppers, pasatta some herbs and spices, hubby had his with pasta but I just had it in a bowl on its own.
WP_20130707_011.jpg

Tea- 2x tesco light choice cumberland sausage (1 syn) and wholemeal roll (HEB2) no superfree but I assume as it is syns and HE it is ok.

Snacks/syns- scan bran bites- 2.5, Aldi benefit bar- 3, brown sauce -1, hot choc -2, sausages -1, strawberries. Total 9.5. Also 1 unused HEA.

Lets bring on the week :)

Awww Izzybee all I will say is ((((( big hugs)))))

Moving on to your food - loving the sound of the meatballs, fab news on week 8 and yesssssssss bring on the week. I hope the scales are kind to you xxx

aw thankyou Texty, thankfully last night was much more peaceful no nightmares :)

Baby has his norma lcouple hours with childminder today, I was thinking I would do my first session of week 9 and get my first 30 minute run out of the way but I have decided to spend the time with my daughter as she doesn't get much 1-2-1 time these days, and now she is on summer hols, this being probably the only time in her life I can be home the entire hols, so I will see what she wants to do. She is currently off to the shop for me just now :). It's only a few mins along the road but it's only recently she has been allowed to go herself lol so it's a novelty, any opportunity to run an errand she leaps at! I should make the most of it as I'm sure the novelty will fade soon enough. This afternoon she is off to play with a friend and I need to see about getting my van jump started. So not too busy but still enough to be going on with.

Have a good day everyone x

aww izzy big hug from me its totally understandable why you had a nightmare but im please it was a calm sleep last night.

its nice that your making sure you do your 121 time and how cute is it that she loves doing errands to the shop :)

congrats on getting so far on the jogging cant blve it's nearly finished :)

have a great day :) xx

Evening hunni glad you had a better sleep last night. I miss having 1 2 1 with my daughter since she got married and moved I dont see much of her these days x

I can imagine my Mum feels the same, I live 65 miles away and can't just nip along too often. Seeing her on Thursday though when she is coming to take my daughter for a few nights :)

Quickie before I go jump in the shower - I just did my session 1 of the LAST WEEK of couch to 5k!!!!

Also did lots of walkies around the village today, and had great fun watching my son who is now 9 months old, laughing hysterically at a dog - every time it barked he dissolved in laughter, very funny and awesomely cute!

Foooooooooooooooooood

Breakfast - Fruit n fibre (HEB1), splash of milk, rest for hot choc later (HEA1)

Lunch - Wholewheat crackers (5.5 syn) cheese (HEA2), branston pickle (1syn) no superfree but all syns or HE's so ok

Tea - cottage pie made with mince, topped with mashed carrot and turnip.

Snacks/syns - crackers (5.5syn), 2 meringue nests (5syn), scan bran choc bites (2.5 syn), Pickle (1syn), hot choc (2syn), 2 aldi benefit cereal bars (HEB2), strawberries.

Slightly over syns at 16, and wanting to stick to 12, but my syns have been lower the past few days so I'm sure it should be ok.

my scales this morning are showing 1.5 off since last wednesday and I am wishing I could do cartwheels! first loss in aaaaaaaages!!!!!

I can't say 100% what is making the difference but red days might suit me better I know a few less carbs are helpful with me. In addition I am still eating fruit but not quite as much as well as yoghurt and quark. Those things might be quite low in calories and are considered free food but perhaps I was having too much. I'm also tending to use syns for snacks so not eating as much free food in between meals. I also have often been using HE's and syns during meals so it all adds up to a bit less munching, but enough to be full and comfy. It all adds up and I will keep doing more of the same and hope for more losses :)

I will have an EE day sometimes though because I do miss potatoes and HE potato isn't always enough!

baba was up a little earlier today at 0615 but he's in bed at 1900 so can't complain lol. I will need to start getting him up at 0630 when I go back to work anyways.

so it's Tuesday, today we need to take my hubbys pest of a car to the garage - it keeps costing us a small fortune lately :sigh: and has yet something else wrong with it. My daughter has been on a sleep over so also need to pick her up, looks like another toasty day so I will do my normal melting thing. Hubby will be borrowing my car but that's ok I don't plan to use it till Sunday so I don't need it. He has work at 2, and daughter has pipe band practise at 7, so those are my plans for the day.

We want to trade in hubbys car for a new one but can't afford it until we sell our caravan, which is still parked in the drive with little response to our ads yet :( we will need to try some other places to advertise I think.

Because I have a van for work we can get by mostly with one car, but our location means things like swimming and gymnastics for daughter means I needs a car, and hubby often works at weekends so I like the freedom of being able to jump in the car. My parents live 65 miles away and public transport isn't really an option we are very poorly served here. I would have to take a train, then a bus, then another bus to get to them lol.

the sun and heat has addled my brain, not only am I over syns again dues to an ice lolly incident, I bought myself a dress!!

Pics later :) I just hope it looks the same when I put it on as I thought it did in the shop.........

where have you been advertising it?? have u tried the eb..ay website or have you tried gum....treee or what about ama...zon.. haha cant put them up here

everyone is entitled to an ice lolly in this weather... what kind was it?? xx

it's advertised in the gummy place lol, not the jungle place, and advertised locally too. Someone called today and is supposedly coming to see it soon, if no luck we're going to try a specialist caravan website and see if any luck with that.

In the meantime I think what we will do is once his car is fixed we are swapping cars as he does a lot more miles than me, so if he uses mine for the miles and I use his for my shorter trips then hopefully it will last long enough to be traded in!

It was an exotic solero which aren't too high in syns, think they are 5.5 but due to the munchies earlier I had already had my syns. 5 over but my average for the week would still be under 15. Going to keep trying to keep it at 12 though.
