28/10/2014 - Extra Easy Day

Another good few days ruined by the weekend AGAIN!!! Why can't I find the motivation I had last year??? Everyone keeps commenting on how quickly I lost it last year... it's as if they are saying why the hell is it taking you so long this time?! I'm joining a Saturday group this week as I think it will suit me better.

Food for today...

Breakfast - strawberries, 2 Ryvita Fruit Crunch (hexb)

Lunch - packet of Wotsits (4.5)

Dinner - creamy basil, tomato and mushroom pasta (pasta shapes, mixed plum tomatoes, baby mushrooms, fresh basil, 4tbsp Tesco Reduced Fat Green Pesto (split between two = 3syns each), 140g Philadelphia Lightest (split between two = hexa), 200ml vegetable stock)

Other - sweetener and splash of skimmed milk in cup of tea (0.5)

Total Daily Syns - 8/10
Total Weekly Syns - 8/70

Hey chick,

Try not to beat yourself up too much. You know you're capable of sticking to plan and losing when your head is in the game but you've had a crazy year and you're a mummy now and a lot has changed.

Have you got any events in mind which you want to wear something in particular for? I always find they are the best motivation. Maybe a dress to wear on Christmas day? That's 8 weeks away and you can achieve a lot by then, I know you can :)

Thanks Sarah :) you're always so good at reassuring and advising us! We have a night out in Manchester in December which I'm really looking forward to so I should use that as my motivation! I also need to consider that I probably won't stay on track over Christmas so need to loose as much before then as possible xxx
 
Your dinner sounds lovely. I think I will have to try that .
You will find your motivation. IG helps me sometimes to browse people's health photos!

Can you plan the weekend treats into the weekly syns so you can look forward to letting go a bit at the weekend and not feel like you've 'ruined' the rest of your hard work?!
Or what about some long lasting low syn treats like frozen mullers or mini twisters or mikados? I find they last a bit longer than a 500g bar of dairy milk and might do less damage! Xxxx
 
My fave low syn treat is a bit of an ice cream sundae - Carte D'or Light ice cream (I think 50ml is about 2.5 syns or maybe even less), with extra light squirty cream, half a crushed mini Flake, some chopped fruit (banana, strawbs, raspberries etc) and maybe a crushed mini meringue nests. You can have something that feels really indulgent for about 6 syns! xxx

Grapes and a yoghurt for lunch now as I'm popping out for a few hours so will take it with me.

I agree with planning the treats. I find if you use most of your syns on treats? So say... 70 for a week, fill a box with 70 syns worth of goodies and have them whenever you want them? I always plan a bottle of wine in when needed

29/10/2014 - Extra Easy Day

Off out with the MIL today... probably a walk and then lunch. Will try and stay on plan at lunch as much as possible. I'm feeling quite stressed at the moment with everything that's going on... returning to work soon, rubbish maternity pay, studying, moving house, etc etc and it's affecting my confidence a bit.

Breakfast - 2 banana's

Lunch - eating out (will update later)

Dinner - 3 Ryvita Sweet Onion (hexb) topped with 4 Laughing Cow Blue Cheese Triangles (hexa) and two eggs, grapes

Total Daily Syns - ???
Total Weekly Syns - ???
 
Oh bless you poppet. Sounds like you have tonnes going on at the moment! No wonder you've been finding it hard to focus on SW too!

That's all any of us can do, lovely. I had a small cake mix incident last night but having a fast day today so not letting myself write off the week.

No coffee & cake planned for today thankfully. Housework and playtime with Emilia :) We need to carve our pumpkins this evening too!

Breakfast - 2 Weetabix (hexb) with 300ml skimmed milk (part hexa) and strawberries

Lunch - grapes, 1 WW Vanilla yoghurt

Dinner - Spaghetti bolognese (spaghetti, extra lean mince, chopped tomatoes, tomato purée, onion, carrot, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, various herbs and spices)

Other - 75ml skimmed milk in cups of tea (remainder of hexa)

Total Daily Syns - 0/10
