Jaly's Diary of a Snackaholic! 26pp/day :)

Well, I'm staying at his place primarily because I don't have the internet at home at the moment, haha! x but, he has work and my Grandmother's got the week off work to look after my 3yr old cousin but he has ADHD and can be a bit of a handful so I'm helping her before she goes mad :)

The energy burst didn't last too long, I think it was a sugar-rush from breakfast tbh :p Went home to grab some clothes and did 15mins of Just Dance while I was there, I wasn't tired physically but mentally I'm exhausted :p Gonna have an afternoon nap after lunch though - comfort food! Chicken and chips! Yum!

Chicken and Chips - sounds good! Well done on the determination to eat those cals. Keep it up! Good idea to have a snooze this afternoon - after two hours sleep! I'm like Daisy - even a short energy burst after only two hours sleep is a thing of the past!

Haha! No doubt I'll feel quite tired this afternoon :) Got a congratulations card in the post from my Grandma with a £50 cheque in it! Always a nice surprise! Shopping spree! :p

Burnt myself taking the tray out of the oven though, ouch - gonna be quite a big burn there i think, ice doesn't seem to be helping too much!

Grabbed a cereal bar while I was at home because I was hungry even though I knew I was making lunch as soon as I got back to my Grandad's place - eating when hungry means progress!

Lunch was ridiculously filling, and only for 7pp! I think I'm taking advantage of the free veg though, I piled my plate with looooads of it :p 100g broccoli, 100g cauliflower and 100g green beans!

Woo hoo! Well done Grandma! Enjoy your shopping spree!

Current thinking on burns (too late now I know) is no ice. Ice burns the already damaged skin more (think freezer burn). Run/immerse in cold water for 10 minutes. which should help to reduce the chance of blistering. Mind you, if the skin is already broken I personally would be very careful about the force of the water hitting the skin. Anything bigger than a 50p piece (think that's right for the size) by area should be seen by a professional. (Source is only my works First Aid course though - and I'm sure we err on the side of caution, but keep a good eye on it) If not blistered I always use Lavender Oil gently over the burn. Marvellous stuff. Probably ought to add a disclaimer that the Lavender Oil bit is not from the First Aid course - just what I do!

Eating when hungry = good!

Hm, I was just holding an ice cube wrapped in a tea towel on it, it soothed the pain though and it isn't really sore unless I touch it, it's not really a big burn, just a small line :)

As for the lavender oil, i'll have a wee peek in boots tomorrow :)

Feeling extreeeemely bloated again :( Karate on 2hrs sleep with a burn on my arm and period pains/cramp/bloating... hm, should be 'fun' to say the least!

OK - protecting it with a tea towel would probably be fine then - not really different from cold water. It's just bunging the ice cube straight onto the skin itself isn't recommended. I always keep Lavender oil (and Tea tree oil) in the house - it's great for so many things - burns, sunburn, bites, stings, heat rash etc. It's also one of the few essential oils you can put neat onto the skin, although if your skin is very sensitive, or you're not happy about using it neat, you can dilute it in a carrier oil or a cream. I have pretty sensitive skin though and I usually use it neat.

:( to the period pains and bloating and the lack of sleep.

LOL. Great! What part are you playing? Maybe we should get a 'Minimins' trip organised to come and see you perform!
