JanD's Maintenance Diary. Into the 2nd year :o)))

Actually folks I've been giving a lot of thought lately to what you've all been saying about exercise. I have come to the conclusion that it IS in fact a dirty word ... I'm going to wash my mouth out with chocolate! xx

Thursday 1st July

Went into Mum's thinking 'won't be having anything today, not hungry, no cravings' - walked into the kitchen and there was a tub of little mini meringues on the side - so one of them went straight in the mouth  .... not too bad though really, only a mouthful and nothing on it - then I opened the fridge and ate a strawberry ..

Breakie - 2 weetabix, rasberries etc

Bed

Tea - Baked chicken breast stuffed with phili light, brocolli & leek, ww from frais

Work - Roast beef salad wrap with vlf salad cream, strawberries. xx

Food looking grand Jan! :)

Ooooh meringue! Whenever i walk into a supermarket they always stare at me as they are always convientantly placed next to where the berry fruits are :sigh: I'm hanging out for one! lol

It was my fault really. Mum was fancying a meringue when we went to Sainsbury's the other day but the fresh ones there were huge and had about 4 inch thickness of cream in them and she's only got a small appetite. I spotted this tub of tiny ones and suggested that she could get one of them out and put some spray cream on it when she was fancying one - just enough for her.
Seemed like a good idea at the time  - but even she's said they're just too convenient and moreish ;) .... so at least they probably won't last long :) xx

Ohhh aint they just! I love them when they're chewy in the middle

Friday 2nd July

1 strawberry at`Mum's ;)

Breakie - 2 weetabix, raspberries etc.
Had to stay up late to run some errands so then later had a piece of toast with houmous on half and phili light on the other half and a banana - didn't need either really

Bed

Tea - chicken stir fry. Saved 'afters' till at Mum's - fresh pineapple with one of those little meringues crumbled over it.

Work. Chicken salad wrap with vlf salad cream, pineapple.

Saturday 3rd July

Nothing at Mum's :D

Breakie - 2 weetabix, pineapple etc

Bed

Tea - Lamb & chick pea tagine with some (are you there Irish?) red quinoa :)

I'm not sure I did it right. I didn't have time to find Irish's instructions so I sort of followed the ones on the box. This involved rinsing it, frying it then adding boiling water & boiling it till water absorbed. I think it could have done with a bit more water and cooking a bit longer. I quite liked it but I'm not sure it's worth all that messing when I could have bunged some cous cous in a measuring jug with 7ozs boiling water and eaten it 7 minutes later ;). I'm pretty sure Irish's instructions weren't that complicated, I must root them out and see.

Wine tonight ;) xx

OH!! BTW!!! Our holiday to Kefalonia in September is now all booked :D:D:D

We're going to a different resort but if anything it sounds even quieter than where we're used to which we will love (fingers crossed). Where we usually go is only bookable through Olympic Holidays and their prices are just ridiculous unfortunately.

YAY!!! :):):):) xx

hahah how can i not forgive you with that picture?!!! :giggle:

I think the instructions irish gave for the quinoa was just double volume of water to quinoa then when the water is absorbed turn off the heat and leave it for 10mins ..... i think.

Oh not you booking a holiday too!!!!! :sigh:
Bet cha can't wait now! :D :D :D :D :D

Well I can wait for about 10lbs ;) :D xx

Yeah I thought Irish said something like that too ... what I did I don't think I could be bothered with tbh xx

It does sound like a lot of faffing about! Cous cous is probably the easiest thing to make!!! simple! :)

'Faffing' - love that word xx

:giggle: faffing!

You're just a FAFFER :D:D xx
