Jane's Diary

Hi Mandy

I saw you but was rushing in and out. I'd left the plasterer at home so had to rush back. I hate leaving workmen in the house alone. How did you do? My sister-in-law lost a pound.

The little manor seems ok, just not very good for dieters. They've only just reopened and the refurb is very good. It's nice to sit out there on a hot Sunday afternoon. Mind you, hot days are in short supply at the moment.

Xx

Morning Jane :)

Ah well so we both put on this week, not to worry - we will take it off and more next week, won't we!

Had a look at the menu, the place looks lovely and omg if I wasn't on a diet I would love to eat so many things on that menu! I think the choices you were thinking of (the soup and chicken) are probably the best, or maybe even the lamb?

We will keep each other on track and both get a loss next week :)

I do have a wedding on Sunday which I won't be counting syns for etc, but apart from that I've no excuses not to be good.

Hi crystal. Yes, I also thought the lamb might be ok, but then I thought it might be a bit fatty. I've been out for a blood test this morning and had to fast for it so no breakfast as yet. I then called at lidl and bought my veg, it was half the price of sainsburys and looks ok. I mean a cucumber is a cucumber, is I not! I next called at sainsburys and did the rest. This Sw diet seems to cost a fortune. I've just unpacked and put away and next I have a meeting at work. Busy busy.

Enjoy your wedding, it'll be impossible to control your food and as for drink! No chance! I've been soooo good this last 6 weeks because I knew I was having a liver function test but I'm going to relax a bit more this weekend. I wish wine wasn't so many syns.

Bye for now xxx

You are so right about the price of veg, Lidl's is just as good as the other supermarkets I think. I do find SW quite an expensive diet but then I'm not buying all the junk food I used to eat so I guess it works out about the same!

Hmm I know, I love my wine but it's just so many syns, I definitely haven't been drinking as much since I started SW - my liver will be grateful :)

Enjoy the rest of your day xxxx

I ended up with no lunch. Bad I know:eek:. I did eat an Alpen bar and an apple though so better than nothing. I made up for it this evening. I cooked a sort of chicken curry. The ingredients were chicken, onion, mushrooms, green pepper, mixed pulses and spinach plus a tin of toms and various spices. Hubby had rice with his but I just had the curry. There were loads of veg so it didn't really need rice. I may do strawberries and yogurt shortly, then again, if I have an early night I wouldn't eat anything else.

It must be fantastic to be able to eat what you want. I must admit that slimming world does seem to be very healthy. I found with ww I could eat what I wanted so I ended up eating my points in all the wrong things! Ww cakes, ww naan, ww bread to name a few. Just remembered my favourite, ww frozen chocolate eclairs mmmmmmm :)

Is it 500 posts I need crystal? It's taking me forever. I need to travel around the site a little more :)

Xxx

Evening Jane! An alpen bar and an apple is certainly better than nothing and a better choice than a lot of things, only as a one off though mind ;)

I was the same on WW, saved all my points for chocolate and wine lol!

Yep it's 500 Jane, there is a thread on the boards somewhere that is like a word association game that people use to get their posts up! Let me have a look for it and I'll get back to you and point you in the right direction :)

Ok found it, it's under Chit Chat the word association thread is quite near the start - might be a bit soul destroying though hehe!

Thanks. Off I go to find it:)

The posts are stacking up nicely :). I have to go and do some jobs. Hope the rain holds off, I've bedding to hang out.

Breakfast: apple, banana and milk in coffee from allowance. I'm having chocolate cheesecake later made with two Alpen light, quark, chocolate options and sweetener. (if I get around to it)

Xx

They sure are Jane! Just keep posting away every time you log on, you'll soon be at 500!

Hope you get your washing hung out, the rain has just started here.

i'm waiting for a delivery then I need to go and get a handbag to match all my accessories for the wedding on Sunday, wish me luck :)

Is hubby home for the wedding? I've hung my washing out but seem to have lost a pillowcase somewhere. Hope it's not in the washer with the dark load I've just put in!

Have a good day shopping:) xx

Unfortunately not Jane, he doesn't get home until Wednesday so I'm taking one of my best friends with me. We're both getting our hair put up for it, looking forward to getting glammed up!

Aw could it be inside a duvet cover or something?? Always happens to me!

Shame he's not home.. Fortunately I'd not turned the washer on so I took the dark wash out and there it was in the drum. I'm keeping a eye on some very dark clouds moving this way! hubby is ironing. He's well trained :D

Thinking I might have some tinned soup for lunch or maybe salad. Maybe I should boil some eggs. Sometimes I just can't be bothered but that's not good and that's why I pig out! Although I've been very restrained since Christmas. We are off to Malta and Gozo at the end of may so I have the incentive to stick to the diet. It'll be fantastic to be slim for India at Christmas :)

Hope you are feeling fully motivated crystal xx

Lunch: 3 ryvita, two dairy lea cheese triangles, cucumber and tomatoes. Chocolate drink.

What an exciting tea! I decided to cook some sainsburys low fat sausages at 1/2 syn each and I was going to do eggs, bacon etc but couldn't decide what veg we could have! In the end I cooked sweetheart cabbage and we ate that with the sausages. Hubby had pickle with his. Thank goodness he's easily pleased. Btw the sausages were lovely and I ate two. I still feel peckish :)

Xx

Well I've had my strawberries and Greek yogurt so that's that for the day! I've just had a lovely bath so I won't eat anything else:rolleyes:

Did you get your bag crystal?

Xx

Hi Jane

did you enjoy your bath?

Yep I got my handbag, it's slightly off in colour to my dress and shoes but I don't think it will matter. If I can find my camera I will put pics up tomorrow of the whole lot, see what you think :)

Ok. I'm sure it'll be fine. Hope the weather improves for Sunday.

My bath was lovely, I don't have one very often but when I do i enjoy it. It's so time consuming though. In and out of the shower is best. I'm ready for bed now :)

I look forward to your photos.

I know, me too Jane - I know it's to be really horrible tomorrow so I guess Sunday will be an improvement whatever happens. We got married at the end of May thinking the weather is always lovely in May, wrong!! It rained and was very cloudy and overcast - the following day was beautiful, typical!!

I love having baths, I find it a really good way of relaxing.

Do you have plans for the weekend Jane? (apart from getting your post count up lol!)
