Jen's Diary - 3lb down :)

Thanks everyone, just back in time for Desperate Housewives on E4+1!! Woo hoo!! Had a nice time at cinema, didnt eat anything naughty just drank water!! :D
Popcorn and hotdogs smelt so good tho!! ha ha!!

Woo Hoo - Get You! Mrs Willpower or wot!!! So pleased you had fab time hun. Only 5 more get ups!!! ;)

Its been awful - hate this term as its always so flippin long and stressy. Must find out when half term and easter is next year lol - not that I'm wishing the year away or anything lol

Oh I have that downloaded from the council website in Aug and highlighted in my diary!! lol!!
You have to have a countdown going on! lol

Have just checked tis 6 weeks til half term and then another 6 til Easter :( Am sure its normally shorter than that!

Then a short one 5 weeks Easter til half term and then 7 + 1 day til we break up for summer - we have to go in Monday 20th July  How stupid is that???

You have your hols at different times dont you? We normally come up to Scotland in the summer - and you normally go back around then. So you're Autum term must be a living nightmare!

Hi, I have been overthinking again!! Management are buying in roll for everyone on Friday. I am down for a roll and square sausage with potato scone....am now thinking I should pull out and say thanks but no thanks as Rach and I thought it would be about 10 points...do you think thats about right? Its not worth 10 points...although if I had it for lunch and breakie....then I could be starving...dont want to look like a right loser saying no to it tho! .....:(

You could always say that you forgot that they were ordering them in and you have already had your oatso simple and are feeling sooooo full that you couldn't possibly manage it. Although, I seem to remember you saying you tended to eat brekkie in the staff room so maybe they wouldn't buy that one.

Or, you could take one, and then nibble on it like a little mouse and not eat very much of it at all. When you get it, cut it in half and "dispose" of the second half somewhere cunning (like your handbag) when no-one is watching and they'll think you've eaten it already - and hey, presto....5 points saved!!!

I can believe they are probably about 10 points though, cos they are totally heavenly. When I am "home", I find them sooooo hard to resist.

Good luck on the sausage battlefront Jen.

Do you actually want it? If you dont want to say no to it (by the way - you wont look like a loser for saying no;)) then could you manage the rest of the points by low point/0 point food?

Or could you try to change it to something maybe a bit lower in points?

And like i said earlier, if you were to say no, no-one would think you were a loser!!! Do they know you are on a diet hun? xx

i would have it - you still have 14pts for your day and you could easily have lunch for 4pts - do you take lunch in? Heinz big soup chunky vegetable is lovely and 3pts, then a thick slice of WW bread or even go nuts and have two slices of danish for 1.5 LOL :D then you still have 10/9.5 for tea..

Very well said, Emma. Totally agree.

We shouldn't feel awful for refusing food...that's probably what led us here in the first place. :D

Ah yeah they are all so supportive but just feel that I am being am driving them all mental. Noone has obv said anything and it is most likely to be my complete paranoia, but I check the fat and cals of EVERYTHING!! lol! I am a woman obsessed! lol!
I will just say no to it, i dont think I would enjoy it now because I have over analaysed it and realised how many points it is! lol! I want to lose this week, so no it is!! lol
It will most likely taste like feet anyway!! ha ha!!

Not to be obsessed with McDonalds, but a sausage and egg mcmuffin is 8 points, minus the egg would be 6.5. That's fried too, so probably 10 points is a bit high? I think 4 points for the actual roll is wrong because I've had 3 types of roll and they've all been 2.5. I'd say the whole thing is more likely to end up about 8. Obviously just a guess though which is always risky! Haven't a clue about the potato scone, you crazy Scot ;)

ah you gotta love the pot scone!! sandy and Rosie will back me up! There is nothing like a Mortons Roll, square sausage and potato scone roll! For my frame of mind and my determination to lose this week, its not worth it. To think back in the day I would have had 2! lol How scary!! lol
Maybe I should have a roll and scrambled egg instead!

I think that's probably a good idea. You won't regret NOT having it, but you might regret having it! It may be a bit hard while everyone's eating them, but after that you'll have forgotten all about it :)

I will completely back you up there - and my daughter, has just said to tell you that she loves rolls with potato scone and flat sausage too - so you're not alone

What did you do in the end then? Scrambled egg? Sausage? a polite refusal?

I'm on tenterhooks.... xx
