Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

I had a McDs and a strawberry milkshake. It's ok because I only had 5 points in the day. I'm so over bad food though, I was looking forward to my stirfry but just was not up to cooking. Adam brought me back a vix you stick up your snoz and it works wonders. I can breathe! I can taste! Plus I had a nice hot bath, some paracetamol for the aches and I feel nearly normal :) I'm hoping tomorrow I will feel up to my run. It won't be a very nice one, around a retail park, but I want to get my azz moving. Then I will have my nommy stirfry for dins. Good times :)

Not too bad. Keep losing my voice a little bit but comes back with a cough. Adam keeps blaming the volcano ash, but I highly doubt it!

Had a big, stodgy chinese for lunch, 16 points but my stirfry is nice and low, 5 points :) Adam wouldn't let me go to Tesco this morning to buy a nice lunch as we were late.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Jess. And now you have a sexy husky voice as well ;)
Chinese = massive drooling session from me!

Food so far:

2 slices of bread - 3
Peanut butter - 3.5
Yoghurt - 1
Banana - 1.5

9/21

Dinner is hunters chicken (6) with wedges, but I haven't weighed the potato yet plus veg.

Just had a naughty bacon sammich, it was delish. I'd guess at 8 points? Going out for dinner and a movie tonight, a date if you will. Ask is the restaurant of choice because I have a voucher :p We're going to see Kick Ass, anyone seen it? I think it's McDs for lunch though I'm probably going to have a happy meal because that sammich was phat. I'll probably be over for the day, even though I was a bit under yesterday but not majorly. I'll try cut down tomorrow, if I have a chicken kebab for lunch (4!!) it should be easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Just have to resist the bloomin' chocolate bars on sale.

Oh and 100% going to start my running regime this week.. Nice weather, cold should be long gone. No excuses!

Sorry those were the only bits I could see

Good luck with the running Jess. It is much easier after the first few goes I find (though I'm still seeking the crack-cocaine-like high you're supposed to get from it!) The weight will literally fall off you if you're running. Anyway, keep us updated.

Have a lovely date :)

I am hoping so! My own skinny britches bestie has always been a skinny britches. When we were in college together she'd eat 4 slices of bread with butter and dairylea, after breakfast of toast then buy lunch and nibbles in town. She's always eating cupcakes and says she does things like eat a whole jar of humous in one go but I think she's actually a picker like most skinny britches. Sometimes we'll go out for meals and she'll just have soup or something. Anyway, she just took up running but hasn't started eating more and the weight has literally fallen off. I worked out her BMI and it's 18.1 I think! On the day of her 10k run she only ate breakfast, a cupcake, a few mouthfuls of her ramen lunch (broth and noodles basically) then a smoothie, followed by a falafel wrap afterwards. She made the run look like a breeze even though she's only recently taken it up.. So unfair!

Hahaha - it is very unfair. Some skinny britches eat ruddy loads and don't get porkerish at all - but it's like you say, they don't eat consistently do they? They eat a lot then go for long periods not eating very much at all. I'm one of these people that I like to eat everything on my plate, even if I'm stuffed! And make sure I have (at the very least!) 3 meals per day. Hence being a WW addict.

Seriously though Jess - the running really makes a huge difference. I don't actually run that much but I always seem to have a loss even if I only do one run in the week leading up to WI. I have to admit, now that I am getting a bit better at it, I'm starting to enjoy it more. Maybe because it's such a big achievement? Anyway - GOOD LUCK!

I do think some skinny people eat loads and stay thin, but some people stay thin because they don't actually eat all that much.

Running is always good :D I'm hoping to go back to the gym/swimming sometime soon, though maybe not until after exams :

Hiya

Am envious of your skinny running friend ... having just taken up running and so far away from skinny it's untrue - I know how hard it can be ... BUT when I can run for 5k, I will appreciate it more :)

Hope you enjoyed your chicken kebab - i Know I would have lol

Twigs
xx

I'm hoping to get to 5k too :)

Kick Ass was great, I'd recommend it! It wasn't what I was expecting at all. There was one bit in there that was really beautiful and I was just staring at the screen all goggle-eyed.

I'm almost convinced to join in with this running malarkey but I'm still not sure I can hack it. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to train for it! Hahaha! Good luck with the running this weekend Jess you brave little soldier.

Not really into films but having just googled this one I might give it a bash! Beautiful eh? Sounds like my cuppa tea.
