Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

I've eaten with her in a restaurant twice and she's been fine both times! She loves food so I think that keeps her happy :p I know what you mean though, definately wouldn't take her anywhere "nice" just in case because it's not fair on other customers to having a crying baby ruin their meal. You take children to restaurants designed for families! I get seriously ranty when a naughty/too young child is in a nice place :p

I didn't think there were any F&Bs around here but there's one in Guildford apparently.. must have missed that! Plus Feltham, even closer :) Love F&Bs!

I can't do it :( I keep putting weight on. I can't wait for these next few weeks to be over! When I'm working full time over the summer I'll find it much easier (ironic, considering I work at McDonalds) as I can only eat at lunch time. Plus I'm walking around all day = more points :)

Had my parents and niece down this weekend. She's more of a person now, but I can't wait 'til she's a bit older and can talk. She can watch all my Disney DVDs with me and we can take her out places. She got a bit whingey Sunday, I think she missed her mum and dad.

Adam said he definately "wants one" now. Not yet, thankfully, but in the future. I will have to be at least 25 though! I'll probably do a few years of working and think "Sod this, I'll have a baby" :p

I find sticking to plan much easier the days I am off work, its a real struggle for me when I am on leave, keep at it honey, it will come off x

25 is still waaaaaay to young!!!! - at least 30 before you even think about it....they are too much like hard work - and you can't even put them in kennels when you want to go away for the weekend....

Just thinking - that might be a business opportunity!!! ;)

Stick to being an auntie, its lots more fun ;)

I meant the days I am AT work I find it easier to stick to plan DOH!!!

I dunno, it'll be between 25-30. My mum had me when she was 30 and I wouldn't want to go older than that, so I need to squeeze 2 out before then! All the women in my family started young! My mum and 2 aunties before 20, one cousin at 17 (not a slut, just an accident but they're married now) and another is having her second at 26. Plus my brother had 2 by 22 :p

I don't need kennels, that's what my mum is for!

Mine and Adam's child/ren will be much better than my brother's though!

Hee hee my brother used to say that to all of us about my older sisters children, his mantra was

"when i have children they will do as they are told, they will sit to attention when being spoken tooo blah blah blah"

He has infact got 3 of the most spoilt and naughtiest children i know of :p

Guess he let his wife get away with the no smacking and softly softly approach - it didn't work!!

I don't mean behaviour wise.. She's actually pretty good! Ours will be better looking, cuter, smarter, funnier, more interesting though ;) haha. I feel sorry for her, my brother isn't cut out to be a dad. He dumps them on my mum and goes upstairs to play on his computer/play poker. They never take her anywhere or do anything with her. When I have a child I won't do it until I have the time, money and have grown up enough to raise it properly. I'm obsessed with my cat, lord knows that I'm going to be like with children :p

Once upon a time i would have said stick to cats they are easier than children-then we got Nina!!

You'll know when the time is right and your own are always the most brilliant ever!!

Stop it, you're all making me broody :p

I want to give up work when I have kids, so I want to have a reeaally high paying job until about 25/26ish, stockpile some money then quit and have kids, and do something part time when they're all at school :)

I wrote a looong post there, but then didn't want to hijack :p

x

had to laugh at the "sod this, i'll have a baby".. i defo think thats how a lot of people see it, but they dont have the balls to own up to it! :D

hope you're doing good Jess :) xxx

Hahahaha... well, I had Tyler at 22.... it's been hard hard work... especially as I was esssentially at the beginning of training for a long and rich career... Now, not to say I am not going to have that.. it just means that I am about 3 years behind now... I should have been qualified with a good year under my belt but am just about to finish my 8th year at Uni and then onto supervised practice (hopefully).. so in my opinion - try and get some foundations before baby comes along... although it's great being a mummy. x

its a bit odd, i had my girls relatively late in life (37 and 40) so lots of my peers are at that stage where their kids are a bit older and more independant so the parents are knid of 'getting their life back' whereas my kids are younger, luckily quite a few of our friends are younger so are at the same stage with their kids and it works out ok. there is no right or wrong time to have them, you'll know when its right for you. it is hard work but its worth it. i went back to work part time after the 1st btu gave up after the 2nd-work part time now they are at school. our budget is tight and could be easier if i worker longer hours but it was a joint decision that we were prepared to 'struggle' for a while cos i want to be there for them while they are young.
sorry to blather on, but basically i'm saying its great when its right

Yup, I'm not really putting a time limit on it, when I have the money and am ready I will. That will definately not be any time soon :p I want a good few years of enjoying having some money after being in education, go on nice holidays, buy myself pretty things, snazzy tech toys :) I can't imagine giving up my life yet.

Well when you get there you can enjoy it! :) You won't have to worry about looking after a baby, or stopping your career. Unless you want another one that is ;)
