JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

Hope everyone had a great weekend :) I had a proper family weekend, which was perfect :)

Had a fairly naughty weekend: curry and wine Friday; corn beef pie, few bits of cake, sausage casserole and chips and wine Saturday; Sunday roast and few bits of cake Sunday - better than my usual off plan weekends though!

We have decided to do a full week (7 days of sw) as currently we only really do Mon-Thurs as have weekends off. We are also going to measure things properly and be very strict sticking to the 15 syns/day rule. The only blip we might have is Thursday night but if so damage control will still be done!

Glad you had a lovely weekend Jess :) I did as well :D sts this week though. . So a little fed up this week. .

Hey hun

I know it's so frustrating but it doesn't mean you've not lost % body fat or lost inches! Chin up and stick with it :) I'm sure you'll lose this week

7 Day Plan

Weigh in: 11st 3lbs

Lovely lifestyle changing friends I need your help. I want to do a really good sw week on plan. I've heard there are things such as speed foods which help weight loss? I also need some ideas for breakfast on the go and low carb lunches? Any advice to make this week exciting and work would be very useful

Looking forward to some fresh ideas! I'll also be reading diaries, as always, for further inspiration

Hello lovely, sounds like you're really in a mood for a fantastic week! I'm up for a 100% one too, so we can do it together :)

I'm having a lot of soup for lunches at the moment - easy, cheap and low carb! If I fancy something with it, I have 2/3 crispbread (you get 6 as a HEXB) with a Laughing Cow Light triangle. Or you could make some yummy salads? Maybe grill some chicken and bacon to toss through and dress with balsamic vinegar?

With regards to speed/super speed foods, these are listed in the books but the lists I have are a year old so someone might be able to help out with more up-to-date ones than me. xx

Yay sounds good honey, I need to get out of this 11 st bracket and into the 10s!

Soups and crispbreads are a fab idea. Salads also sound good, if I can make them warm somehow would be great! Thank you :)

You'll fly through the 11s my lovely, I'm sure. A couple of good weeks and you'll be down into the 10s.

Yeah warm salads are lush! Tesco do some hot smoked salmon fillets which are super low syn/free (can't remember as haven't had them for ages!) which you can microwave for 30 seconds and they are fab flaked into a salad :) xx

Ooh they sound like a lovely idea, I will have to have a look! :) xx

Ok great thanks for that, I guess it just takes some time to get used to something. I am just wondering how I am going to change the speed so quickly. . Guess it will be a little trial and error for a while ;)

Depending on the treadmill you can programme in interval training, so you just have to press the button and it switches between the two speeds - ask a member of staff if they can show you :)

Hey Jess,

I quite often take left overs from dinner the day before to have as lunches. Stews & casserloes are great as you can put in loads of superfree & you get something nice & filling & warming :)

Good luck with your 100% week! :)

Good idea Em! Will have to do some of that :) xxxx

Today hasn't started amazingly well food wise because the soup we made for lunch was a disaster and I forgot my Weetabix :( but can have my yoghurt early and go and buy a healthy salad .... But still :/
Busy morning at work too and bus is delayed so it's just one of those Tuesday mornings :/

Tuesday 8th October

Breakfast: Strawberries, Banana and Grapes (SF)
Lunch: Chickpea (F), tiny bit of feta (1/4 HEA), rocket (SF) broad bean (F?) and lime chicken salad (F) from our cafe. It had olive oil in but gonna use that as my HEB today, and i'm going to put 4 syns for any skin on the chicken.
Snacks: Banana, yoghurt, Orange (SF)
Dinner: Cod, sw chips, (F) mushy peas and carrots (SF)
Drinks: 1 cuppa (1/4 HEA) and water

I might have 4 chocolate cadbury halloween fingers for 5 syns (100 calories) as a treat, but will see how full I am from lunch. I don't want to have too many syns in case there were more hidden ones in my lunch.
