JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

Oh Jess! No better feeling than putting a bikini on and feeling good in it! All the hard working paying off - get used to that feeling Miss Galaxy Girl Beach Body ;) Think I'm maybe just heading out for dins with a pal tonight, nandos probs then maybe cinema? 4.5 mile run tomorrow to keep me on track for half marathon and then hopefully catching up with 2 of my beautiful school friends either for dinner and drinks tomorrow eve or Sunday lunch. Quite a chilled one :) xxx

It was such a good feeling :) haha long way until I'm there though ;)

Ooh snap with the nandos. What are you going to go and see?

Aw sounds a lovely weekend to me :) xxxx.

Jessy I'm so so excited for you with the galaxy girls thing...I was googling it on the train on the way home today to see what you'll be up to! Loving the fact you're giving yourself longer term things to aim for...like it's not all about the wedding, it's about challenging yourself and getting fit and strong and healthy and it just so happens that one of the results is that you are going to be one mighty fine looking bride!! :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend lovely!! Xxxc

Hey sweetie. Fab news on the bikini :) I see on fb you're running too. That's great xx Sent from my GT-I9505 using MiniMins.com mobile app

Thanks chick :)

Yep! You guys have inspired me! I now have some big races to aim towards too :/ xxxx

Yay you're back :D Thanks darling - I'd obv be going in for the non muscly category of beach body but I'm going to have a go at the fitness tests if I'm allowed!

I'm actually LOVING exercise was gutted having to have a rest day yest and was happy (say what?!) when my PT said I could do a nice walk on rest day.

I want to be healthy and fit - I'm so much happier in myself. It's motivating me back into work and other passions too so I really feel into life :D xxxx.

Lost 2lbs :) woop! Back to healthy BMI of 10st :D

Had a brilliant and on plan weekend!! I think I've only ever had one on plan weekend before ;) really pleased. We are having a treat night tonight as Jamesy is having a wisdom tooth out tomorrow so letting him enjoy some food tonight. Being super naughty and he's having a KFC and I'm having a McDonalds ;)

Exercise wise really pleased this weekend. Did a good session Friday night at the gym, a run on sat followed by 30 day shred, then on rest day yesterday did a walk :). Going on a mile run tonight (aiming for under 9mins30) then walking/jogging back from it.

Have a lovely Monday darlings. Roll on 5pm xxxx.

Woooohooo to the loss and the on-plan weekend!

I totally empathise with you about the rest day thing... I need to check myself a couple of weeks ago as I was finding I wasn't building in the rest days I should have been and was actually feeling guilty/lazy when I didn't do something, which really isn't healthy either.

I found sitting down and doing up a timetable/plan and ticking things off as I went along has made me feel less guilty and given me a bit more of a structure. I can visually see that I need rest days too as otherwise I'd clearly be doing too much. It's a tough one... from one extreme to the other!!

Do you pay for PT sessions every week? Flip! At my gym they're £30 a pop!! I couldn't afford that! xx

That is a really good idea with tracking what I am doing. It will also help me keep at it I recjon. Thanks hun. But yes it is so tough!

Nope haven't paid for one with Hannah :) Because we get on well from bootcamp and the nutrition course (£30 each course) she offers free advice. Although I am going to see if she will give me a PT session next month and pay for it; she gives me so much free help I would like to pay her for something xxxx.

Well done for the on plan weekend!! I can totally empathise as they are always the days I struggle with most!!
Ooo what are you going for at mcDs?!! Poor James, will you be feeding him icecream
Tomorrow night to ease any soreness?!

Sounds like you have an amazing gym/nutrition plan/all round healthy life advisor! What a bargain for all the info and support she provides!

Jessy was I reading the galaxy girls website right in saying that the event is held down near Crawley?! I'm sure that's right where Sarah lives! I feel a minis meet coming on! Xx

Yeah it was tough but worth it :)

I had a Big Mac and fries! Yum!

We've got him jellies, porridge, eggs, yoghurts etc! Bless him!

Yeah she is a fab and I'd class her as a friend now too which is lovely.

It might be Hun I'm not 100% sure! We need a minimins meet anyway for defs! xxxx

Morning ladies!

I was really proud of my run last night:

My personal best :D

Then we had treat night and I had a Big Mac and fries, a fanta drink, a whole sharing bag of marvellous Cadbury mixups, and a beer! And I felt rubbish! I really don't feel like it was worth it .... And I'm actually really pleased about that; healthy food actually tastes better (most of the time!)

Back on good food today :) Fruit for brekkie, nuts and nakd bar for snacks, salad for lunch, cod loin with sweet potato and veg for tea! Probs will do myself some healthy choc too. Rest night tonight as got my boy to look after and some job apps to do.

Planning a gym session tomorrow and a jog Thursday. xxxx

I sooooo get what you mean!! I really enjoy a nice meal out now (like on Sunday) but eating the kind of stuff you had last night makes me feel so rubbish! I actually had to lie down for 2 hours after my Sunday lunch too... even though it didn't make me feel rubbish, I was just so full!! Not a great feeling!

Well done on that jog last night Jess!! See you are a jogger/runner!!! That's an epic time for someone who hasn't really done it much before. You should be very proud :)

My pal sent me this link last night (I have a pal who seriously loves BuzzFeed) and it made me giggle... can you relate? ;)

(P.s. job apps?!?! You looking for something completely new?! xx)

Jessy, well done on the run! That is super, I saw you being super active over the weekend on fb so don't worry about your treat meal! Sorry you felt a bit rubbish after it but I def find that happens when we are so used to putting goodness into our bodies! Especially you!! Ooh what are the job apps? I've put them off for the time being! Have a great day beautiful xx

Woo check you out running lady!! That's fabulous!
How funny about the maccy d's...so strange the way out bodies and tastes change! Do you find you're listening to your body much more and figuring out what it's saying to you instead of just your brain craving certain things?!

Job apps sound exciting!! What are you thinking of?! Hope james is ok and getting through his soft foods! Xxxx

Haha that link is brilliant and 100% me :D Got to send that to my PT it is bang on!

It is so strange what healthy eating does to you - the mcdonalds didn't taste nearly as good as my yummy healthy food! I enjoyed the beer the most I think as it was relaxing :)

Thanks honey I am super proud, and I find it hard but I pushed through. I will keep at it!

Job apps - long story but basically I am on a fixed term contract which finishes at the end of the month probably. I get redeployment so pay for 6 months plus redundancy after if nothing comes up. However 2 jobs I like the look of have come up now so going to apply for them. They are roles which are more directly involved with students helping them through their journey as a student so I think that could be really rewarding and could give me more experience in areas so I can move up.

Thanks honey I did feel guilty though so I text my PT to confess and she said don't worry just get back on it :D

Yeah I felt rubbish but at least I know why - all those crappy flavourings etc.

I need to be applying or I may have no job (no panics though as i have redeployment for 6 months) and they are more student focussed so think I would enjoy them :D

Thanks gorgeous!!

I was gutted as I used to LOVE them. I worked in McDonalds when I was a student and used to eat probably 5 a week minimum!! Hence why I started getting fat haha.

I definitely listen to my body more and it usually does crave healthy things like fruit and veg. My brain does crave certain things but I think last night has changed it's mind a little!

It is called a Student Support Officer so very student focussed but still management grade so I think it is up my street! I miss working face to face with people!

He is having them out now as we speak .... my poor baby!

xxxx
