RTM Day 35 (Week 5)
Week 5 is almost done. This time next week I will be half way through route to management. Quite a scary thought. The whole world of food away from the structure of this is quite scary indeed. I still feel I have so much more to learn. I think I am learning though which is a good thing. My attitude to food has changed entirely, and I know I mention it frequently, but it still amazes me that I can have huge old tasty meals that are infact low calorie and healthy. Also pretty amazed by how well I am doing with using no fat to cook. Something I thought I would battle with.
Today has been a really great day food wise. My cals are actually up on the last 2 days without the whole bloated ill feeling. I think it is because I had no pressure and ate when I was actually hungry.
Cuppa Java to get me up and attem! Then a little lounge in bed with Mrs Fat Belly. Decided to have breakfast before heading out, ended up pottering around for a bit, then realised I was actually hungry, so had a beautiful breakfast of Mandarin Yoghurt, with apple compote and a few fresh blackberries. Headed off to the shops to find the old thermal socks - which I did, and ooh one or 2 other items ;P Still all from Primark so cheap as chips. They have some fabby sweaters in there for a fiver.
Arrived home at 2pmish and realised ooh I had a little hunger pang. So had a gorgeous salad of Tuna, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, some gherkin and 3 olives in brine, topped this off with some chopped dill and a dollop of fat free plain yoghurt. It was divine and very refreshing. Had a lovely red william pear with a cup of tea later in the afternoon. The pear was so sweet and juicy, a lovely little treat.
After a bit of a wardrobe sort out I set about making the curry for tomorrow evening. Will save that recipe for you all tomorrow but it is soooooooo sooooooooooooooo good!!! Cannot wait to have it with some lovely raita and a bit of tomato and coriander salad.
Dinner tonght was salmon fillet topped with wholegrain mustard and some philly extra light, with savoy and spinach , a bit of roasted sweet potato, the rest of the celeriac puree and broccoli!! Very satisfying and pretty on the plate. The sweet potato really does add a lovely satisfied feeling. Must be the small amount of carb in them.
Busy re watching Heston's Victorian Feast and getting so over excited by it all - he really is a total God and Genius ooh and hot!!! If I ever get the cash together to go for a meal at the Fat Duck, that is one night I will not count the calories!!! Will have to starve myself for a week or so beforehand, but it will be worth it. Sex on the tounge!!!!!! Or Food Porn of the highest most X rated order!!
For pud tonight, having some baked granny smith with plum and a yoghurt sprinkled with some peanut bar. Am trying out what Min suggested and putting things together to have a smaller amount of meals but more calorie rich meals so to speak, and I think a shake or hot shake will make me feel faaaaaaar too full.
A busy and somewhat emotional day tomorrow - going to the hospital for my breast scan - the just in case after my little lump scare. So will pack appropriate bits as I will be there most of the day. Busy week after that with lots of menu tastings going on , so bring on the following weekend I say!!! OOh also have my yearly appraisal on Tuesday, it is the time I get to have my say, and oh boy will I say it!!!
Looking forward to the seeds and most importantly the dried fruits and banana. Also planning a lovely tropical fruit salad with mango and papaya. Mango puree for a smoothie should be quite good too. Still no great urge for wine, so leaving that until I feel ready for it. Don't want to add wasteful cals really.
Have a wonderful evening further everyone.
