Ok so I have joined the roll call

Leg is still in plaster Dizzy - and to be honest I went into panic mode, no exercise - and i just felt that the extensive damage to my leg was due to my weight.

So yeah I was so ready to go back to SS - or at least I thought - all it done was bring out the last supper syndrome - for about 3 weeks - god knows how much weight I have put on. kinda defeats the object dont you think

after getting a bit more understanding about the diet - i have had 2 UD's - that surprisingly i have not overeaten or binged and one DD via SS - still cant get over that.

So basically this is working so far. The next few days will be interesting. However I will not be weighing for now - but going by measurements.

Today is down day - and will be leaving my first pack until midday/early afternoon. as soon as i have that first meal I do find that I get hungry very quickly.

Good Luck JUDDDDers

Great going Shazza - sounds like a plan! ;)

That sounds good Shazza, I think that is the main benefit of this diet, it takes out the whole ' feast or famine thing '. I am on an UD today and have no real urge to raid the fridge/cupboard/naughty drawer. I just feel calm about it, happy and unstressed, not a mood I am used to but I like it very much.

Good luck with this plan, I am sure it is a good way forward for all us JUDDDERS!

Love

Does anyone know where I can find some long term success stories on this diet?

If you go on the Traineo website there is a JUDDD thread with people that have been on it for months. The losses sound good and the enthusiasm is still high!

I agree on all my 3 UpDay's I've had no urge to overeat. Long may it last!

Good Luck

Sorry your foot was so bad Shazza, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Oh its my knee Dizzy - I actually have torn the quad tendon that covers the knee just by missing the bottom step. I had very little lifting movment in the leg, that is getting better now and can lift it maybe at a 30 degree angle now.

The good thing I guess is that I can walk and put weight on my leg in that I dont need crutches - but its in plaster so that the leg can stay straight and heal rather than being able to bend it and keep tearing it.

i will be back stepping soon - I just have to be paiteint - have really missed it.

You are so good!;)

I did the same once myself, I guess I had a lucky escape. It was pre weightloss too. We were having our bathroom done and so was out of order and my little one woke in the night for the loo. I carried him down the stairs in the dark, so as not to wake him completely and I missed the last step like you. As I was clinging on to him I couldn't safe myself with my arms. Luckily I was just a bit stiff for a few days and I had some bruised toes. He was fine did his wee and went back to sleep unaware.

I guess I was lucky.

End of week 1 and 3lb down ... pretty good considering I had two UDs in a row. Saturday was an Upday and I was going to use Sunday as an 'ID' of about 1000 cals (intermediate day ;)) to ease me back into my DD today.

However, it ended up being more of an UD - and I still lost 3lb!

Bring on week 2!

This is so great, Well Done RD! It just shows we can lose weight and still have a life. I am really looking forward to week 2 as I feel like I am really getting into it. Had my best sleep last night, following a DD I have struggled a bit but last night slept really well, so thats pleasing too.

I too have lost 3lb this week, although I was away on Saturday and Sunday on a training course so it wasn't a typical week (I imagine there will never actually be a 'typical' week for me diet-wise, however). This week may be a bit odd, too, because I will be doing a lot of extra cardio and therefore eating more - even my down days are going to be something like 1500 calories  - but it should all balance out.

That is very good Kate - especially as you dont have much to lose.

One of my favourite sayings (ask any of my clients ) is that it's important to have a life as well as lose weight.

Having only found this thread yesterday (slow or what?!) I realise I've been doing my own version of JUDDDering to maintain my loss for the past 6 months since reaching my target. I've been calling it "easy on/easy off" ie. enjoying eating what I like on some days, and then cutting back (what I've been calling my 'frugal' days) to lose what I may have gained .. and then a bit more if I wanted to. All I can say is, it seems to have worked for me - so far anyway :).

It's good to know I'm in such great company as you girls now though :D

Love to all JUDDDerers,

Hi Summer, that is so brilliant to hear. Just shows that this is quite a 'natural' way to eat and lose or maintain without all the stress! Gets my vote!

RD, congrats on the 3lb, thats a great start too!

Shazza, sorry to hear about your knee, wish you a speedy recovery.xx

I weighed this morning, following a good DD yesterday, and stayed the same. I got a bit down about it and have subsequently binged today on kids party food (my youngests birthday day out/picnic), so i probably will have gained today. I have to stop the weighing daily thing.

some fab wk 1 losses here guys!
Congratulations!
