I've been an expat now for 14 years so new countries cultures and moving about are bread and butter to me rofl ( not so much but I get there in the end) but never in my life did I feel people in my heart like the egyptians, this bloodshed isn't in their nature and for the few months I have been here I want better for them. They dont sell fresh milk here as standard because for the 22 million people that live here in cairo most dont have fridges...... its desperate the poverty, lack of education, no prospects but they have a thing about them, a love of life and god thats frankly inexplicable to us westeners , ifyou dont see the result you want on the scales today, pat yourself on the back, know you did the best you could under YOUR circumstances and live another day, the best day you can, and be the best version of you that you can be, life is incredibly short, we are who we are and our lives are what WE make them, so lets just be us...bigger, smaller, a pound up or down, but alive, living our lives with our families and loved ones safe and happy.
