July money challenge

Having a summer house on the left hand side once done. It's under all planning conditions etc but dreading how the neighbours will react as its a foot taller than the boundary fence

If I could figure out to post saved pics I would show you how it was before the dogs ruined it lol

My phone has av option to 'attach from photo's' which can upload saved pics. Not sure where you would find that on a pc though x

Aha!!

Thank you :)
Hehe it was, silly mutts lol or I should say mutt as its all been the rescue digging everything up and shredding stuff lol

Oooh i just bought an old lady's greenhouse for £20, and got a £283 refund on the one i had ordered from homebase! :D So after £80 for someone to pick up and put back together for me i just made £183 lol :bliss: x

Lol in one hand and out the other...mutt needs the vet again. He should just move in at this rate!

Hehe yeah may well do! Hate tension, and horrible neighbours can just ruin everything so trying to keep them sweet, way too much of a giant softy me!!

Well its nearly the end of my July as get paid tomorrow and there is a bit of money in the bank available and most of my car boot takings left! Am chuffed with that!

August is going to be an expensive month though as have got another m.o.t , kids off school, my birthday, trips away, uniforms to buy etc but trying to keep shopping costs down is really helping the bank balance I think!

Recording :) Going to watch tomorrow along with about 4 Superscrimpers - waste not want not ep's.
Cheers Emsie :) x

What are you two like, I just never seem to see these programs you are on about!!

I got the bill for my MOT & whatever needed doing it is £103 which isn't too bad. I think I'll now go a tad overdrawn, but not too bothered, still waiting for this elusive bonus, lol. Bob said if I get one we're buying (see how well he's trained), flights for our December holiday & you know it was 'his' idea about December!

Hello all - well my money plans went swiftly downhill once bf lost that £300 but its payday next week and I'm due about £400 overtime. That's going to go towards paying off the final outstanding debt I have on service and maintenance charges and any extra will go on paying the credit card down a little.

I have put a load of stuff on eBay the last few days and had a sort out so at least my home is feeling a bit more organised. And hopefully ill make a few quid - if not then my local charity shops will be happy!!

I'm so sick of being broke and owing money on credit cards - it would be great to be at a point where my wages are actually mine to spend instead of just being swallowed up by my pith overdraft. Just need to keep plodding onwards I guess.

You all seem to be doing well with car boots etc - keep up the good work. I understand your frustrations with eBay - it is hard to make money these days and sometimes it doesn't seem worth it. But the way I'm looking at it is that all this stuff was going to the charity shop anyway so anything must be better than nothing!!

Hehe HH - how do they come up with "their" ideas of holidays ;)

Sparty - don't worry chick, i know that it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel sometimes (we had an iva about 10 years ago which cost more than all our other bills combined every month for 5 years) but trust me when i say you will be so happy and so proud of yourself when it's all yours and you can spend or save on whatever your heart desires instead of just bills.

This little pixie is thinking about saying Stuff it and going on holiday, like tomorrow.
Guy we hired to do the garden is a no go, and with £450 of our money, and left a mess we have to hire someone else to fix at additional costs.
Finally got my head around that, when the vet rings saying he had the results of the dog's biopsies that they did, and he has a very rare form of skin cancer :(
Don't know treatment options yet as we have to go up in the morning as he would like to sit down and explain everything to us because he didn't want to throw stuff at me over the phone. Which is probably good, i didn't really hear anything after "It's not good i'm afraid, Trev has a very rare form of blah blah lymphona"

Even if treated, i highly doubt that will be cheap, already cost £600 alone this month already!

And so, the very zen "it is what it is, no point dwelling on it" approach i have to life is seriously being tested this week!!

Hope others are better, please! xx

Today is a good day!!

I have decided that I'm not going to let the joke of a landscaper turn me into a miserable cow lol

There's alot i can do, and hubby is going to do the decking himself, and i got 47 pristine slabs for £25 and the mother in law gave us one of those 2 wooden chairs with the table in the middle as she had two and never used either :)

And the vet said that the treatment is a tablet every 3 weeks, along with a blood test to check every time. The tablets are £250 for the box but it's a year's supply, so just £60 a month for a blood test in theory, and he said that they could give him up to 18 more months

So, today is a good day :) I hope everyone is enjoying the summer weather :) xx
