July money challenge

Hi Karen! Welcome, and of course, everyone is really helpful to each other and we pinch each others ideas ;)

Well not sure how i am doing really, have put all the money saved for the holiday into getting the garden done next week, and have cleared the credit card, and been selling lots so have cleared most of my overdraft bar £100 so far.
I have reached the point of selling being too much hassle, be it no shows to collect (happens alot with gumtree, facebook etc) and yesterday i found the bad buyers on eeBay that everyone talks about.

Had a t-shirt up, mentioned it had been in storage so will probably need washing as will probably be dusty (my washing machine broke at min waiting for repairman) i put all of this in the description, got fab feedback from everyone except this one woman who sent me a really snotty message saying she had to wash it (read the frigging description!!) i aplogised profusely for her still to moan so i refunded her the cost of the t-shirt and let her keep it and she still went on to leave negative feedback....what the F*** is that about?! So annoyed!!

So yeah, done with selling for the moment, too much hassle, i've managed to make enough money for what i wanted so now i'm going to just stick to the saving side of things from now on as this woman just really pee'd me off.

Hope everyone is doing good :D xx

Id always wash something id brought anyway even stuff from shops sometimes too. It does seem to be getting worse on ebay though x

Yeah i always do too, but i also usually wash everything before it sells (it was washed before storage also obvs) but as i couldn't this time, i thought if i made it perfectly clear, then people would be aware of this fact.
Hey ho, nowt i can do to change it, just always surprises me how petty some people can be. 99p for a t-shirt, seriously you're gonna moan?! x

I bought a skirt on ebay for 99p a couple of weeks ago (£3 postage), paid for it via PayPal the same night, 5 days later she messaged me to say that she wasn't selling it for such a low price and was giving it to the charity shop instead.. She did refund my money straight away but I was so p'd off.. She should have put a higher bloody starting price then... Grrr! Also had problems with people buying from me recently so I'm not going to bother with ebay any more x

What a shame when it had sold
Hope you gave her appropriate feedback x

Me too, hope there's lots of money to be had x

I made £111.30 profit so am pleased with that! Son was a superstar helping so have given him a tenner lol

One of the guys who works there was saying some times that aren't so good for booting and those were Easter, Mothers/Fathers Days and te days when theres the matches against the 2 local footie teams so Villa and Birmingham City here. Will have to try and remember that!

Fantastic Emsie :) hubby doesn't like doing them as he only gets 1 Sunday a month off and as he puts it "I'm not doing a bloody boot fair on my one Sunday off" happy to get up a few hours later and go to one though lol :)

I don't blame him! They are hard work and wouldn't like to do it if I only had one sunday off a month either lol xx

Lol I agree with him too but I have clutter to get rid of ;) xx
