Been watching this thread with interest.

Just wondering if anyone saw that programme last night 'Something for nothing' Some good ideas....think entering competitions might become my new hobby!

Ooh what channel was it on? May be able to catch it online :)

I do lots of comps, someone's gotta win right :)

No I didn't again another programme you've recommended that I need to catch up on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel free to start one ladies, i never know what to say, as indicated by this one :D

I still have a week of June left as well but am thinking of my July prep now.

I have put a few £2 coins into my tin the last week so that's up to about £20 I think. Small but at least it's something put aside for an emergency. (Albeit a small one haha)

We that's how our holiday tin started with just a few pounds here & there & it was £873 when we opened it, happy days, or should I say Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!

Well mine is def goin away for a holiday as soon as it is full!!

or (IF my bf ever pops the question) then the start of a wedding fund. But I'm not holding my breath that it will be soon lol :)

My bf is at ascot today and I asked him to put a couple of bets on for me for max £15.

Won £20 on the first horse so I'm a fiver up. Second horse didn't come in though - never mind!!

That's going straight in the tin when he gets home. :)

Am intending to clear out the garage tomorrow and have a couple of things that could go on so glad to hear that!

With the money savings tin I have done it before and want to get another one and try and top it up the only thing I wonder about is if heaven forbid there was a burglary as cash at home only tends to be covered by insurers up to a certain amount.

Bob kept our tin under the bed & he put his woolly hat on it, don't know why the hat, but heyho. Our tin weighed 2 stone when it was full!!!
