Kat1e's Diary - 7 years low carb - still learning!

Morning Jim :)
DD is 6.5 going on 13! She did eventually go to sleep so i can confirm that she doesn't talk in her sleep and this morning got from bed to telly and also quiet. There is hope........
:D

I can totally relate Katie. Mine never shuts up either. Although the good news is when she gets older she will spend more time in her bedroom resulting in more peace and quiet. ;)

Howdy all. Just sitting in the conservatory in the sunshine enjoying some peace. DD upstairs with some jelly beans - it was her pocket/star chart money so i didnt get much say :)

Out in Richmond for lunch and (re)discovered Gourmet Burger Kitchen - WOW :D Meat was great and you could order exactly what you did or didnt want. In my case wanting included avocado and bacon with the burger :)

Also had a trip through marks - treated myself to 2 pretty tops and finally used up my christmas gift voucher!

I was going to head to GBK on Clink St the other week but the place was PACKED. Looks yummy though and you can order burgers without the bun? Didn't know there was one in Richmond /takes notes.

And I was just thinking M&S' new stock looks good when I dashed in and out for prawns the other day. Must check out the website. Which tops did you get?

Blurglle......remind me not to drink too much Tempranilo again! Head hurts, tummy grumpy - and my dance class is on at lunch time - will be kill or cure methinks :( :)

oh no babes. Will cure darling x

OK - feeling slightly more human after breakfast and cup of tea so catching up from yesterday ;)

Yes - the GBK people were happy to do anything we asked. They also do takeaway!! :D

The tops I like are the printed, multi colour tops - both in long & short sleeve (16/14 pounds each). They are nice and stretchy so I have been buying 18s which is nice ego boost

So after lunch, shopping and a rest, we went round to our friend's house for tea - another friend came too so imagine 5 adults in conservatory eating & drinking while trying to ignore the 6 kids in the other room (ages 2-8) :p

She had heard about our "crazy" diet so it was nice & legal - including cooking marinated beef & chicken on a hot stone (note to self: this is perfect for Atkins, must get our hot plate out!). Having totted it all up, it looks like the alcohol & calories were a problem but carbs not sooo bad!!

So thursday food:
b bacon & eggs
L GBK burger with avocado and bacon, salad, mayonnaise
s mini pepperami
D cold meats, celery, cucumber, artichoke/parmesan dip, grilled beef, grilled chicken, cheese, DH's mega cheese cake with one sliced strawberry on top!

w lots
e shopping (supposed to be good;) )
a rather a lot! 2 glasses of prosecco and a bottle of red (never again etc)

xxx

Ok - well i'm still alive and definitely feeling a bit better after an hour dancing madly around the room to Fame. Not a recommended cure really - thought i was going to die half way through!

I can sing Fame in Spanish and Japanese. There's a fascinating fact about me you never wanted to know. Well done on getting through your class - the amount you do still amazes me!

Must get myself for a look in marks. I honestly don't know how to dress myself. I've pretty much cycled jeans and the same 3 primark jumpers with a m&s military coat all winter. Caught sight of myself out without the coat today and I just look like a potato. I used to live in skirts until I got down to about a size 20, then I started wearing jeans and am now too scared to wear anything else *useless* even though jeans and a jumper make me look like one of neris and india's eggs on legs. But then skirts are tricky with my huge stomach and thunder calves. And maxi skirts make me look like a dalek with a pelmet... And I've talked about myself far too much now sorry. Yay on your 18 tops - I'm about the same in marks though their sizes are unreliable.

/plots GBK chicken burger with bacon and avo one day.

Morning all :D

It's a nasty rainy day here but relatively happy as DD out for 3 hours at Theatretrain plus i've just finished going through cupboards and drawers and throwing tons out. Can actually open my sock drawer for a change :)

RB - just promise me you will sing the japanese version of Fame when we eventually meet up! :D

Yesterday evening not quite as planned - we were supposed to be trying a new dance class in Putney but the traffic was so awful that we couldnt get there so gave up half way and came back to Richmond. Went to Nandos for dinner (thanks to rec on this board) and wow is was fab, atkins friendly and very good value! May well be using that as our takeaway source from now on (DH had been missing sunday night TAs). Then went to the cinema to watch Paul. It was superb and lots of lolling!

So food for friday:
B bacon and eggs (forced down to try help h/over)
L burger and avocado
D nandos half chicken and salad
S mini pepperami, flax crackers and parmesan

W lots
E an hour of Fame - almost killed me
A oh no!

Off to catch up
Xxx
