Good morning everyone,
I'm finding so much `thinspiration' on mins today, its so positive to wake up to. I love coming on and seeing how everyone is doing, gosh I really don't think I could do this journey with group alone, mins is such a large part of it. I have a few friends who are not far from target now, all within 1 stone. I don't know how they are coping but I would be dancing in my room everyday, thinking how far I have come
. I can't wait till the day I am 1 stone away from target, let alone at TARGET !

I have 2 weeks left to my operation now, I want to try and get my 4 stone back, that's all I'm aiming for. After my op I know I will gain slightly because of the meds. But once I am fully recovered I will continue to shift the last 2 stone to get me to target. I try not to think too far ahead because it throws me off sometimes so I have broken things down into mini goals and am focusing on lbs and not stones or awards. All I want by next week is to lose 3.5lbs so I can get my 4 stone back. I have been doing the Salad Challenge this week and enjoying it. I am on day 6 today and tomorrow is day 7 the last day of the challenge. But for the first time I have decided to do it for 2 weeks so I will continue with it
. I really want to give it my best shot before my op. I'm determined to get my 4 stone back !
hehe
My sister spoke to me yesterday and I got a bit of a telling off, she says I am obsessed with my scales and has hid them in the house and she won't tell me where she has put them lol
. She says it really throws me off and puts me in a bad mood. I know she is right, if the numbers don't go down then its causes me to blip. I should really learn to rely on the weekly group figure. If I weigh daily my weight is bound to fluctuate and it will not give me a true reading of what is happening with my body. So I have decided (well my sister has lol ) that I won't weigh till group next week. The only thing I have is my measure tape, so I can see if I've had any inch loss
.
I've also noticed this week that when I drink coffee (my favourite drink) then that's all I drink and don't drink enough water. I am a firm believer that `the more u drink, the more u shrink ! ' and I'm talking water not alcohol lol. I have hid my coffee jar so I don't drink it, I am going to stick with herbal teas and water. My aim is to try and drink between 2 or 3 litres a day. I have my hot lemon tea in the morning which is really good for cleansing the system when u wake up. I have lots of green tea too, salted caramel and pineapple and grapefruit are my favourite flavours of green tea. And most important of them all is my slimatee from Holland and barrett which costs me a fortune but so worth it, it contains a little senna so keeps the pf by my side, little trick
. I've stopped the flat tummy water, even though I think it was good, I don't want to confuse my body by doing too many things at once. Sometimes less is more
.
In terms of exercise, its raining outside and forecast says it will most of the week, boo !Doc says no gym for me at the mo, so I'm going to go through youtube today and have a look at some exercises that I can do indoors in my room. If any of you have anything u can recommend, I would love to know
. I have my weights at home so will be doing arm exercises, I so need them for my bingo wings. I normally do a 15 minute arm circuit by a celebrity trainer called Andrea Orbeck, her video is on youtube and she is brill
boy do my arms burn after her workout !
Anyway I think I have waffled enough now, I'm having my herbal tea now and going to catch up on diaries :character00148: , then I will start my exercises. Hope u all have a lovely day !!
Kay xx
Nice to read ur 'waffle' Kay - lots of good ideas in there - and a great pre-op plan!!
Callanetics is an old exercise - started by Callan Pinckey - who also had back problems - they're quite boring to do but work deep in the muscles with quite amazing results if u stick to it (which of course as an upndowner I don't - but I do like everything else I do - in phases!) Yoga is another idea - lots of different types - something for everyone!!

Hi Kay good post
Think it's good your sis hid your scales so your not obsessing with the number every day,
There's loads of exercises on the Internet that's where I found Leslie ,
Whatever you choose you'll do fab, I'm want to start my crunches again, still not sure what I can do knee wise , il ask sis when I see her , I was told not to bend knee while weight baring for two weeks so that's up Saturday , then physio said to take it easy and gradual but didn't say what to do,
Anyway il catch you later Hun xxx

Vision Board
So I must have a lot of free time on my hands lol. But I don't know if any of you have read the book `The Secret '. But the basic principal is to visualise what you dream of or want in your life and surround yourself with positive things in order to make them happen. One of the ideas in the book is making a `Vision Board '. That would be lots of pics related to what inspires you and what you want to achieve. I am thinking of making one online and then saving it as my desktop background on my laptop, so that everytime I switch it on, it is there infront of me
. I'm just looking for the best program to use to make it, I'm not the world's most techy person lol. Should be fun, I hope to have it complete by the end of the week.
