Kellmo's Atkins attempt

Perfect!

You are indeed a lady!

I'm going to make half of it into a chilli for my children - they're in spain with their aunties and I'm missing them like mad! They'll be back tomorrow and chilli is their favourite!

Off shopping (again) so might go and get some of that sauce!

Thank youxxx

* yeah, they're not having chilli! I made all the meatballs on autopilot and froze 2/3!

I couldn't find a low carb pasta sauce anywhere in tesco, even the carbs in plain chopped tomatoes surprised me!

Next time I go to M&S I'll stock up!

I know, it's sad isn't it - I love tomatoes - tbh sometimes I just have them anyway, regardless of carbs :)

Also check out the cheapest supermarket brands - amazing how often they are the lowest in terms of carbs.

Yeah, I'm not going to knock them on the head altogether. I'm 10-14lbs away from goal weight so I know I'll be having them soon. No idea what to do after induction!!!

Yes hun it's Susie and Orbit's daily dribble :)

Induction is really just meant to be for a short time and then you start re-introducing more carby foods to see what you can tolerate without gaining and what's out the door. So I think you'll be fine with tomatoes :)

You star! Thanks xx

I love tomatoes and they're cancer fighting - KAPOW!! BOSH!!

Day 1 done.

Feel really pleased I've done it and I've managed to have 18 grams of carbs with 14.3g from allowed vegetables. What would I do without MFP?

I am desperate for my scales to arrive so I can be accurate.

Drank lots of water. Only 1 cup of tea with an eeeeks of skimmed milk and loads of water. Bought some almond milk so will try that in a brew later.

Well done Kell! I'm ladyfelsham (surprise surprise lol) on mfp if you want to send a friend request - although I usually don't do it on the weekends :)

You will love almond milk. I love soya milk too and it's very low in carbs.

I've just tried it in my tea and I don't like it. I don't like milk at all.

I literally have a teeny teeny amount in my brews - its orange. so I think I'm just going to be a renegade and risk it. I cannot deprive myself of my tea. I have max 4 cups a day.

I'll look for you on MFP xx

Also I've added pics of all my food today with my breakfast post x

For some reason it won't lemme find friends on MFP. Could be because I'm on my phone... I'm kellmo80 if you can look?!

Hi Jon's girl,

Wow you look just like my friend, AND she was born in 1980 AND her husband is called Jon!

Thanks for the support and advice. I've just been to Aldi (for the first time -I'm usually a tesco/lidl kinda gal) and wow! It's a revelation. I will definitely be shopping there in future.

Wow that is weird isn't it lol.

i love Aldi, used to shop there all the time ( they sell lovely low carb sausages and all the continental meats I practically live on ) but since I moved the nearest one is 20 miles away so I only go occasionally when I'm in the area for work. I live in a small town so I'm stuck with tesco or co - op :-(

the lowest carb pasta sauce I found in tesco was actually the value one - 4.something per 100g. No idea what it tastes like though. i love tomatoes too i use absolutely loads of tomato puree - it goes in everything lol.

Yep! It's my new favourite supermarket!

Which sausages are the low carb ones? I got some of the black farmer ones - in freezer for now.

I got purée but I'm not sure how to substitute it... Water/onions maybe???

I get a purée called gia sundried tomato purée from tesco it 's really low carb something like less than 0.4g for the whole tube and it's quite tomatoey. I make a sauce with that, some bouillon stock, herbs, Worcester sauce, a little garlic and sweetener. It's a bit thin as i have nothing to thicken it with but it tastes ok - I sometimes add a bit of cream too for a creamy tomato sauce.

I put it over courgette strips then put cheese on top and bake it in the oven :)

Oh and low carb sausages from Aldi are black farmers. I also like the bratwurst that they sell there.

Thanks. I'll look out for it next time I'm there ;-)

The recipe sounds delish, I love courgettes. ?

It is lol. I'm having it tonight - I chuck other stuff in too sometimes depending on how I'm feeling/ what I have in the cupboard. I think I'm gonna put mushrooms, and mabe some broccoli in it tonight. Sometimes I put cooked chicken and bacon in it too. I love courgettes too -and they make a good pasta / noodle substitute.

The purée is in a gold box I think and it's about 75 p

Hello! Here to follow. I start today so I'm only one day behind you. How are you finding it?

Well, so far so good. I posted pics of my meals and I really enjoyed them. The only thing I'm not happy with is the no skimmed milk rule but I'm having it anyway, I need a dash in my brew!

I drank tonnes of water (I need to now after vlcd) and wasn't hungry once!

I also need to find different breakfasts than bacon and eggs - will get bored soon!

Kell x
