I have just made Teeny's chocolate ganache and added whipped cream. Oh. My. GOD. This is incredible!

How did you manage not to eat that from the bowl?! Lol more willpower than me! What is the carb count on the g&b? x
 
Just had a look on mfp, think I'll go buy some. My tesco stuff is 19g carb per 100g. Tesco used to do value reduced fat which was really low carb

The green and blacks was £2.20.

Oh, the whipped cream was extra 0.9 I think taking it to 3.7 c but whipped cream not essential x

The ganache (great word btw Tee) does sound lovely - might have to try it this weekend :)
 
Big chocolatey, creamy, delicious grin! I've had to send be recipe to loads of friends and some have invited themselves to mine to try it!

We're off to the sea life centre right now with my husband and girls. Packed cucumber and Parma ham for me, fruit and biscuits for girls. Not tempted at all!

Another great Atkins day.

I bought a new wok from eBay (absolute bargain - RRP £30 and ingot it for £7. I would have paid £30 it's so good!) so I will be doing lots of stir fried greens in there for me and my whole family)


Hopefully my scales will arrive tomorrow so I can start weighing my veg (I like being precise) as I'm below my carb limit today on MFP but I have had loads of veg.

B - cheese and asparagus omelette.

L - chicken stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in air dried ham and lettuce and cucumber ooh, with the most delicious avocado from Aldi. They're the best I've ever had.

T - tuna mayo salad

Snack - cucumber and chorizo sausage (my new favourite!)

I don't know if its because of the VLCD I did but I am just not hungry, at all. I made my girls the amazing ganache again to go over their ice cream and it didn't even tempt me.

I've had 3 meals and a snack whilst I was preparing my dinner. Nothing else but water, 3 brews and a bit of vimto - negligible carbs.

Don't worry hun make it legal stuff and you should still be OK - some days it's like that on low carb, you just want to snaffle everything in the house!

The wok sounds great! and how do you have the asparagus with your omelette - is it steamed and on the side?
 
I was as good as gold, as though Dr Atkins himself were watching me! Stuck to plan and I went out last night with my friends. Had a really really good time and to boost my confidence I felt really good in my black skinny jeans. Got chatted up by a lovely guy (who I did turn down!) but it's nice to be ogled a bit isn't it? I had 4 vodka and diet cokes and about 4 soda waters. I danced, drank, chatted and danced some more! It was great!!!

My friend got a McDonald's on the way home and I didn't even pinch a chip, I had none. When I got home I had a slice of boiled ham with some pesto cream cheese inside. That is delicious stuff. So all in all good food day and good day in general x

The asparagus I whap in the pan with butter before I add the eggs and cheese. It's delicious!

Do you make the pesto cream cheese yourself? Sounds yummy! As does the asparagus!
 
No it's one I get from tesco, it's called yum! It's only medium fat but I adore it.

MFP has it has 1.1grams carbs per 30g.

I melt it, add single creams and pour over fresh baby spinach ! Delicious!

Oh wow! Melted over spinach, think I'm going to do that with my roast. Will have to make my own but it sounds fab!
 
Yeh I could make my own too - never thought of it. I'm going to try and make my first flax bread/mim today. I've done one week of Atkins and I have about 7-10lbs to lose to get to goal... Maybe increase my carbs a bit?

I lost so much the week before I did atkins that the induction period is so slow. Hmmmm, maybe read my book again and see what's what!

What were you doing before that you lost the weight quick? As you are near your goal weight it will go slow, they say that anyway.... Meant to be better for keeping it off......

Increasing your carbs can't do much harm, suck it and see! Remember the carb ladder :)
 
Firstly I ate like I'd never even seen food before for about 3 weeks - I then did a VLCD for a week which I genuinely needed and it worked wonders.

I'll recap the carb ladder tonight with a brew!

I went out last night and have been tired all day. Ended up with me eating more than I should (all legal though)

Breakfast - mushroom, asparagus, cheese omelette.

Snack - ganache and whipped cream

Lunch - tuna mayo with half avocado and spring onion.

Tea - gammon with broccoli, cauli and a tad of homemade gravy (made with apples I was later told..., dammit!)

Snack - made flax bread and had 4 slices with butter and cheese.

So it's all atkins friendly but I can't work out the carbs so it's a right off day and start again tomorrow!

I'm back at work tue and need to work out quick breakfast and dinners I can take to school - microwave/fridge etc.

Maybe it's not a good idea for me to make batches of the stuff, just make what I want to eat that day because the flax bread is now calling me.

Eating more than you should? Nah! All yummy stuff :)
Flax bread, are we taking proper loaf? toast with butter?
As for brekkie ideas, could you perhaps make a breakfast quiche and take a slice to work? I used to have that or cold sausages x
 
Yeh the loaf didn't turn out how I'd hoped so ill look for another recipe. I'm going to have omelette for brekkie tomorrow cos I do actually love it but I do need a change. Might try a mim in the week!

I've made a salad for tomorrow - going to buy some mayo and keep it in the fridge for my dinners, there'll be an UPROAR at full fat mayo!

I craved something sweet again today so made Teeny's ganache. Delicious but had a bit more cream than I should have!
