Kellmo's Atkins attempt

Hi. Hope someone there is able to help.


Today I have had 3 meals. I am full and don't need any more food. BUT - I have only had 10 grams carbs and only 4.5 of those have come from salad/veg. Can anyone advise me what to do?

Should I eat some things I don't really need/want or just call it a day? I don't want to force myself food but I don't want to go below carb allow ace if it will hinder weight loss.

Hi Kell

Agree with Sadie, don't force yourself to eat - as long as most of your carbs are coming from veg, then don't worry :)

Low carb can be like this - some days I don't really fancy much, other days I could eat everything in my fridge and more :)
 
Ok, thanks guys. I toyed with the idea of making my first mim or flax bread but just went to bed.

1lb off today.. Woooo hoooo - and I feel I ate like a KING yesterday, I'm loving atkins!
 
Feel great again today!


B - bacon, eggs and mushrooms - I'm getting bored of this and it's giving me a tummy ache. Need to find something different and easier as I'm back at work on Tue (after 6 long weeks off)

L - little chorizo sausage from Aldi! Lovely and 0.5c only.
Leftover Aberdeen Angus meatballs, broccoli and my cheese sauce. Seriously delicious.
 
Why is your breakfast giving you a tummy ache?

I make up bacon and cheese muffins and take three of them cold to have for work breakfasts - really nice. Think the recipe is in the recipe sticky :)

And FYI I can see you on MFP but it won't let me view your diary, did you accept the friend request?

When I have too much protein at one sitting I get a tummy ache. Dukan diet was one long pain!!!

Yes I've seen your recipe and I'm going to give it a whirl, it's on my 'to try' list!

I accepted the request and I can see your diary no problems. I'll have a meddle with it - see what I can do.

Have you tried logging in and out again? Sometomes I have to delete my apps and install them again - I did with MFP.

Well, I had to share. Apparently there are other mouths to feed in this establishment. I am seriously loving Atkins. No cravings, no hunger, no feeling hard done by with not having 'real' food. I'll take a pic of those chorizo sausages things for you to see. Bloody children have cottoned on to them though and they like them! Rudeness!

Isn't it great, though? I had half my chicken salad for lunch, much to the envy of my boss, who had a sandwich and was then hungry an hour later! Then I felt a bit peckish about 3.30pm, finished the salad, and am still full now. All that protein and oil really lines the tum like pasta or bread never will!

It's ace! I can't quite believe it - my body does not like carbs. After reading and researching all the way through my 6 week holidays I have realised why I craved something sweet after a huge meal (carb laden meal!) - I always thought it was a cigarette replacement since I quit 10 years ago but it was the carb demon inside me!

I could live like this - not on induction obviously but atkins sounds right up my street. Dukan nearly killed me but this, this I can do!

Mmmmmmm mmmmmm how I love lazy breakfasts with my children. I don't want the summer holidays to end!

The scales are showing 10 stone 4 (and 3 quarters) but I always ignore the fraction - always! So in my mind I'm another lb down! Woooooo hooooo!

I have a dilemma. I have a night out planned with my friend on Saturday night, I want to get dressed up and go out and dance like a fool with her but I do not want to come off plan. Do I go out and not drink??? Do I drink a few vodkas??? Ahhhhhh! Not the bigger problem I know but it's on my mind.

Breakfast today was Aldi's Parma ham, fried with mushrooms, 2 boiled eggs and asparagus. Absolutely delicious! And I'm flup. :)

And lunch was a packet of chicken (on the run) and this....

Tuna, mayo, spring onion, romaine lettuce and avocado. Yummmmmmmm

Treat - Teeny's choc ganache and whipped cream!!!

Dinner - bowl of spinach with melted pesto cream cheese/cream sauce. Amazeballs. I could have that daily you know. I adore pesto! And my husband is allergic to pine nuts so its mine all MIIIINE!!!

Well done Kell, it's all going in the right direction :)

Re partying, can you dance all night long without the vodka? if you are that sort of person I'd say stick to plan. But maybe you feel you just want to let your hair down, so one or two won't hurt - just glug lots of water.

And have a great time! :D

Thanks lovey! Yes I might just have one or two. I do always actually drink water to sober myself up when I'm out so that'll be no problem. Xx

Just bought some coconut oil and green and blacks cocoa and some cream. Going to make a ganache for later with whipped cream.... Yummmmeeeee. X
