Keto weight loss diary

I do need to get a grip on actual calories anyway, but more than anything I need to get my exercise back on track! I'm limited in the times I can get out on my bike and my home gym still needs clearing out. I have a cross trainer, but it's not the best and I don't trust it not to break so I'm on the lookout for a cheap exercise bike on ebay from a quitter. I've got my about 6 on my watchlist within 5 miles, there's never a shortage of them.

I think that I'm going to bring some of my weights in, even though I can't get to my bench. I can do plenty without it, so I think that I will. The Mrs won't be too impressed but it might hurry up the garage clearance!

Good luck getting exercise back into your routine. Weights sound like a good plan. Plenty of you tube routines if your usual workouts are getting rusty!

I'm still avoiding exercise for as long as I can. Doing quite well!

Know what you mean about ur wife not being happy about weights appearing. I had my turbo in front of the TV in the lounge. OH was away and i wasn't expecting any visitors :)

I didn't get the weights out yesterday, we found out that one of the cyclists killed on Le Jog a few days ago is a relative of ours, my Mother-in-Law's cousin. We met up with them last year, he was a really nice bloke and leaves behind a wife and 2 daughters. About an hour after my wife was told this she found out that a close colleague of hers had also passed away suddenly. There were more important things yesterday than worrying about a diet and training.
 
I'm going to reduce calories today, but still keep fat higher than protein.

Food today:

Meal 1 - 170g chicken breast, big handful of salad, 30ml approx ceasar dressing, 50g approx walnuts (Approx 640 kcals)

Meal 2 - 6 fried eggs, 6 rashers thick cut bacon (220g), blob of reduced sugar HP (Approx 990 kcals)


Squash today: 7 pints

Total kcals (approx) - 1630

I'm looking to stay around the same sort of kcals today, and I'm playing racketball after work. I can't get out on my bike tomorrow, but Sunday I should be on for a decent run. If I can keep my kcals below 1800, excercise and get back into keto then it should melt off me.

I'm not expecting any losses tomorrow, I'll be happy if I've maintained 95kg.
 
I've just bought an exercise bike off eBay for £26 that I'll hopefully pick up tomorrow, so I can back on to the daily cardio. Woop!

Food today:

Meal 1 - Large roast chicken breast with skin on, handful of salad, 45ml ceasar dressing (Approx 700 kcals)

Meal 2 - 100g smoked ham, large handful of salad, 30g (approx) full fat mayo, 25g monkey nuts (Approx 470 kcals)

Snack - 1 Tesco fake pepperami (125 kcals)

Total kcals (Approx) - 1295

Squash today: 6 pints

Nice one Al! Bike sounds good :)

I'm going to set myself a mini challenge up till 2nd August. Just to tone. No cardio. Ill do 5 press-ups,5 tricep dips, 5 walking lunges, 5 narrow squats, 5 wide squats, 5 crunches, 5 leg raises, a plank and 2 side planks today for the 5th July. Then 6 on 6th, 7 on 7th etc.

I like your mini challenge, should do you good. I just want to get everything set up at home so I can get back under the weights but it's taking a bit of time sadly.

O.k, weighed myself this morning and I'm at.........95kg still lol.

To be honest, after last weekend I jumped up to about 98kg so I'm glad to hold 95. I'm picking up that exercise bike today, so I'll be on the cardio daily from here on in and I've got some new recipes to try so my meals are a bit more interesting. Meat crust pizza and quiche anyone?

Meat crust pizza sounds nice. Be interested in how that's made! You can keep the quiche... (Egg allergy!)

Here is the link for the meat crust pizza Maggie, I've cooked the quiche (Approx 453 kcals per slice - noted for my benefit later) cos I couldn't find any sugar-free pasta or pizza sauce in Tesco. Exercise bike collected, dentist visited, now the weekend is mine!

Food today:

Meal 1 - 1 whole Mattessons smoked pork sausage, blob of r/s HP (Approx 725 kcals)

Meal 2 - 1 slice meat crust quiche, handful of salad, blob of mayo (Approx 565 kcals)

Snack - 1 Tesco fake Pepperami (Approx 125 kcals)

Total kcals (Approx) - 1415

Squash today - 8 pints

Good menu... Are you allowed to have chicken, steak or fish?

Expect ul be exercise-cycle mad soon :) I got an elliptical trainer off eBay then passed it to a friend when done. Garage full of exercise clobber!

Hi Maggie, I can eat all types of meat and fish if I like.

I fell off the diet after I posted that last night! It's hard sticking to this 100%, but I'll persevere and get back on it. I may have to eat keto through the week and allow sensible carbs at the weekend to prevent munchie attacks like last night. I didn't go Maccy D mad, I just had some crisps and a mini flake or 2. I used to overeat badly every day, so just eating carbs 2 days out of 7 has got to be an improvement.

It will help exercising daily from here on in, so I'm hoping to see a drop by next weekend and I suppose the more I eat keto the easier it will get.

I didn't become obese because I find it easy to eat right and all these years of bad habits don't disappear overnight!

Forgive me Al, for I have sinned. I have falleth off the Plan...

It started with drink with friend. Sparkling water. No probs. leaving there when newly engaged friend phoned. Arranged to drop into hers. "Stay for some dinner" (puppy eyes) "I'm making salad just for you..." Felt bad, don't spend enough time with her. She obviously knew I was gonna say "no, I'm on a diet!"
So I stayed for dinner. All the right stuff was there. Leaves, plain chicken...
but I made the wrong choice. Beetroot, coleslaw, crisps, slice crusty bread with butter... I even had a coffee and somehow I had peanut M+Ms and Skittles, so now I'm wired :-/

Anyway, back on it tomorrow... Glad I don't obsess about the scales or I'd be analysing my weight n feeling worse.
