Kim's diary of being a new mum

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

Sorry they're leaving you hanging waiting and risking losing the property.. Hopefully it all falls into place for you... Not a good time for stress (not that there's ever a good time...)

Nothing like being kept waiting but I assume no news is good news..... and we have to say if it doesn't happen it wasn't meant to be our house and if it does it is meant to be! This week I feel much less stressed about it.... maybe my hormones are a bit more settled or something?!

Estate agent has sent a chasing email again so shall see what if anything the solicitor says back.

Watch this space!

I just can't believe how long it takes and how much solicitors mess about. When we bought our house nine years ago we bought it straight from my mum, Aunty and uncle as it was my Grans before she died. There was no chain, no problem with the surveys etc. and it still took from June to October!! I have no idea what they do on that time!!
Hope they get it sorted for you soon. X

I know its a joke! The house we ended up buying was viewed and signed off within a month/5 weeks.. The first house we'd agreed on however was going from pillar to post for a good 6 or 7 months before we pulled out of the sale... Its a joke...

Oh how annoying :( hopefully something good happens but like you said, if it's not meant to be etc... hopefully it will though and they pull their bloody fingers out!! So frustrating how long things take?!

I know what you mean about baby x The movements have totally changed for me - there are kicks etc, but less of them - more rolling, fidgety movements. Bubs definitely feels as though she has grown as they aren't dainty little kicks anymore lol some can be quite uncomfortable! I too would like to see what position she's in!!

Hope you're alright today sweet xx

Yeah it's really strange how the movements change, it's definitely more moving rather than kicks and sometimes it feels quite unconmfortable when it moves and stretches my stomach even more. I love the feeling but still can't help but be a little bit freaked out when my stomach moves in strange ways! haha.

I'm good thanks, how are you? how did the GTT test go? x

Lol I'm exactly the same. It's cute, but I do get a little freaked. Hubby can tell when baby is moving because my face looks a picture. I have 1 eye shut and one eye open with a worried expression wondering if the baby is just going to burst out of me lol Very peculiar, but I kinda like it :) x

Yeah I'm ok hun x just about to update my diary xx

Ha ha.. Its mad isn't it?! I was sitting in the AN class last night and baby decided to do a few summer saults.. My stomach was going all over the place.. And I couldn't cross my arms as it clearly did didn't like that!!! lol

Hope your well today honey xxxx

27+5 weeks

Well we didn't exchange contracts yesterday......and as far as i know the people we are buying from haven't pulled out - so i assume that was a threat to try and get things moving. Going to call my solicitor today to see if i can make any more sense out of what stage we are at....it feels like we are so close to exchange now....even i am starting to get impatient!

Baby has been quite quiet for the last few days - definitely been getting movements, but nothing like it was last week so i assume it was maybe kicking in to my placenta/back/some other part of me i couldn't feel very well. Yesterday afternoon i was getting quite worried as it was pretty quiet during the day, when i got home i laid on the sofa and Mike was trying to prod baby to get it moving - but no luck. So we joked that his little chewbaka toy that growls might work....so we tried it - put the toy against my tummy and set it off...sure enough baby was wriggling around within a few seconds (probably scared the life out of the poor thing!), well it didn't stop moving all evening, so i think we well and truly peeved it off! haha. I had a bath and it was turning and kicking - my stomach was doing all sorts of crazy things, and now it feels in a completely different position - feet(?) i assume are up by my ribs, so it obviously continued to move and change positions while i slept.

Bit of a TMI question - does anyone else find it's a bit dry down there when you're trying to have intimate time with hubby/partner? Last night we had a bit of a fumble but despite feeling in the mood it didn't really help down there.......so it was a bit uncomfy at times. :( Seems very unfair when normally i am feeling pretty damp with the excessive discharge! Am i the only one?

Hope you girls have a good day!

Well good to here they've not pulled out! People will say all sorts of stuff to try it on, your solicitors will have heard it all before. I hope it's not long now!

Can't help with the other question I'm afraid as we've not done anything in ages! I have felt like it on occasions but Colin is definitely off it as he finds sex or anything approaching sex weird right now! Hoping I can convince him in the end in an effort to get baby out hehe ;) xxx

Ohh glad to hear that the house is still an option. I hope things hurry up for you now.

Loving the chewbaka idea, its funny what gets them going. My baby reacts to anything left on my tummy, so usually I rest the remote there in the evening to give it something to play with lol.

I can't help with the intimacy thing either unfortunately. We are banned from that by the doctors till after birth. I'm sure one of the girls mentioned this same problem a while back....might have been Jess but not sure x

Thanks girls, have tried to call the solicitor but no joy actually getting to speak to her....she said she'd call me back about 20 mins ago....still waiting! Oh well will try again after lunch.

Aww thanks girls, don't get me wrong we haven't exactly done much, but last night felt like it but my body didn't want to co-operate!

grrr i am soooo angry about this sodding move - looks like nothing has happened ALL week!!!! grrrrrrrrrr!!! So we are no further forward and i really cannot see this happening before Christmas now. Sooooo angry! I just want to cry but trying to hold it together as my colleagues have had enough emotional outbursts lately.

Right going to go for a walk for my lunch break and see if i can calm down!:mad::mad:

Intimate time??? What's that??? LOL
Can't help you out there chic as its been a while!!!!

Fingers crossed things are moving with contracts and that's why they've not pulled out... They'll look pretty silly threatening and not following through....

27+6 Weeks
Last day of being 27 weeks pregnant! Seriously where are the weeks going?

Baby has moved again overnight, probably all my tossing and turning as i woke up at 3am to go to the toilet and made the mistake of thinking "oooh still 3-4hours sleep left".....my body disagreed as i laid there awake until gone 5.30am! Baby is now having fun kicking me low down....almost feels like it's trying to kick it's way out which is very disconcerting and i am not sure my cervix or bladder are appreciating it much either!

House move....well no real update, apart from i sort of lost my cool yesterday and with speaking to the estate agent said i was very close to pulling out, as it's clearly not our solicitor causing a problem but the people we are buying from's solicitor who's not replying to queries etc. It sort of sprung her in to action and she ended up calling the other solicitor and telling them we were all threatening to pull out and she added in for a bit of extra drama that we were considering reporting them to the law society for their incompetence! Well it turns out they sent the estate agent the replies to the queries they haven't been able to get to our solicitor (?!?!) and the estate agent hand delivered them to my solicitor. Now i just have to hope my solicitor doesn't sit on it for too long and gets things read and sorted. Seriously losing my patience with it now.
