Kim's diary of being a new mum

Surprise surprise no further news today re house.

But here's a photo of my bump at 27+6....I have NO idea how I'm going to cope with another 12-14weeks of growth! I feel HUGE already!!! Eeep! But either way I love my bump and the monkey that's residing in it that's playing football with my bladder today :D

Oh and also tomorrow I'm getting my hair done! Cannot wait!!!! :D

Fab bump. Luv it.
Hopefully u get news soon on house. Early Monday... If nothing... Ring!!

Fab bump, it's lovely!!
I agree with Frances, get them sorted. Cant believe how much messing about they do with stuff like this, it's ridiculous. x

Happy 28 weeks Kim!! :)

Kim's pregnancy diary

Lovely bump Hun
Sorry to hear about the house .. Were in the process of buying a house too and I can relate its very stressful!
Ours Is a new build so it should be straight forward but there's been a few bumps along the way for sure! X

Hi girls,

How are you all?

28+2 Weeks
Wow, in to my 28th week already! Had another busy weekend, had my hair cut on Saturday and then spent the evening round my sisters which was very nice...even nicer to get cooked for :D.
Sunday we spent the day with friends and their 3 kids (who were all getting over coughs/colds etc...so fingers crossed my immune system is strong enough to fight any residule germies they might have had off!), again lovely to get cooked for. We went to a garden centre near them that go mad with christmas lights etc so was really nice visit to get us in the festive spirit.

House Move Update
It looks like we will finally exchange contracts tomorrow (they wanted to exchange today but the people buying from ours solicitor can't do it until a partner approves it and he's out of the office until tomorrow) with a prospective move date of 12 December!!!!!! I'm not counting my chickens but OMG it might actually happen - before my birthday and before Christmas, a few days ago i was convinced it wouldn't happen. Keep your fingers crossed for me girls!

Got my GTT and my 28 week appointment with the consultant tomorrow, fingers crossed i don't have GD......really hoping that the glucose i've had in my urine isn't a sign that the result will be positive. Looking forward to hearing baby's heartbeat again and not being at work for the morning :D

Will catch up on everyone's diaries now :)

Oooh my fingers are crossed for the house move! I hope it all goes to plan this time and you can get moved for Xmas :D

Good luck for tomorrow - I'm sure you'll be fine and it'll be lovely to hear baby L again! :) xxx

The house move stuff sounds really positive. Hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow.
And good luck with the GTT. It's not that horrible, it's the waiting that did me. Fingers crossed you don't have it though x

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

Bleurgh lucozade at 7.05am is NOT nice! Yuck yuck yuck! The things we go through for these monkeys

GTT test done thankfully I felt like pants afterwards so me and my sister went for a cooked breakfast before i came back to work. nom nom nom.

28 week appointment went ok, my Thyroid levels are normal which is good so continue on my current dose of thyroxine. My BP was a tad high - well a fair bit higher than the last time, so they have sent my urine off to get it checked - she doesn't think it is anything to worry about but was being cautious. Got to call in a couple of days for the results.
Baby was a monkey and hid it's self when midwife was trying to feel where it was and we could only hear the heatbeat really faintly as it was hiding so well. Such a monkey! It's kicking me well now though

So all done and dusted for another few weeks, next two appointments will be with the community midwife at my doctors then back to see the consultant at 36 weeks...eeep!

Oh and i'm mortified i have to have an appointment with the anaesthetist because of my BMI and they need to check my back and make sure they could site an epidural ok, or if they will need to advise me to have it early on....could have died when she was telling me....how to make a woman feel good - tell her she's too fat and needs to be checked that they could do an epidural! :(

Fingers crossed GD test comes back clear.. Yum to cooked brekkie..

Isn't it just amazing how the little ******* can hide so well in there???
Glad all went well and your dose of eltroxyn doesn't need to be changed...
Mine has been fine throughout so far.. My GP upped it to 75mg when I went n had my BFP confirmed but since then its been grand.. Though my thyroid was only slightly off anyway and I wouldn't have been on tabs for it had I not been TTC..

Don't be mortified chic... Plenty of women have to get checked and sure wouldn't it be worse if on the day they said they couldn't give it to ya!!
Sure we'll all be on here in March for "New Mums Losing Post Preg Pounds" so you won't be on yer own for any of yer journey :) xx

I know such little ***** when they hide - i mean come on there really can't be that much room in there if normally my stomach moves when it moves...but yet it still managed to hide. Going to be trouble i think! haha.

Ah glad your throid has been OK :)

Ah i know plenty of women have to have it done....just really embarrassing....or at least i am always embarrassed by it, i'm just glad that Mike wasn't there with me! I know it's best to get it checked, but lots of people say that either the anaesthetist is really nice or some can be a bit mean about it...lets hope i get a nice one! lol.

I know.. Its not nice at all.. I was so thankful they weighed me away from Jonathan too.. I was terrified he'd see what I weigh.. All 9stone of him wouldn't understand!!! lol
I remember my friend telling me her doctor weighed her with her BF in the room and said out loud what she was (saying that, she was by no means overweight at all so for her it wasn't a big thing) That fear has been with me the whole time while TTC.. So was such a relief my hospital do it differently...

Oh yes - i was exactly the same i'd die if Mike knew what i weigh, he barely weighs 9stone so definitely wouldn't comprehend my weight! Was so glad the scales were out of the room when I was booked, so completely understand where you're coming from.

J weighs the same.. He's not very tall (5ft8") and weighs in between 9-9.5st no matter what he eats.. And my God does he eat!!! His dinner portion is easily double mine and then its followed by chocolate straight after.. Copius amounts of fizzy drinks.. Full fat everything... And he just doesn't gain weight!!! Fecker!!!

He doesn't understand how people gain so much weight (he has said this)
And doesn't understand why people find it so hard to lose weight... "Just stop eating!" Coz you know how its that easy!!!
And so comes the argument of "so why's it so hard then for you to stop smoking? We need food to survive... You don't need cigarettes for anything.. So just stop!" And then all hell breaks loose.. LOL
