Kirstabubble's Food Diary - Back on it 100% :)

Thanks all!

I managed to do FF day one! I struggled a bit when I got in from work and I'm really missing tea with milk! But other than that, it's ok.

I've got a horrendous mouth ulcer on the side of my Tongue and it is making life rather difficult. It hurts to eat anything :( I could really do with living off soup but I'm determined to do this FF thing.

I went out for a two mile run last night as well, which took me about 18 minutes...I was quite chuffed as I've been doing my c25k on a treadmill so thought outside would be really hard, but I found it ok.

I'm thinking I may do EE or green on Saturday when my run is though. Plus I'm going to a quiz in memory of my friends mum who passed away at Easter, through pancreatic cancer - seems a bit silly obsessing over doing FF when I look at why I'm doing the run and the quiz. At least if i do EE, I can use syns and take nibbles with me.

What do people think?

Still on FF and managed another day 100% on it yday (bar swapping some mange tout for green beans as they didn't have any in M&S or Tesco).

Have decided to do EE on Saturday because I have my Race for Life and although it's only 5k, I don't wanna risk feeling wobbly for the rest of the day...I felt pretty grim yesterday and I wanna be in good shape for the quiz on Saturday...after all, it's in memory of a friends mum and enjoying it for her is way more important than essentially going hungry to lose a few pounds I put on whilst enjoying myself.

I have already planned what I am going to have though :) I miss mushrooms so I'm gonna eat them ALL day! Ha xxx

Hahaha - mushrooms all day, love that hun. I think doing ee or green is a great idea, FF is hardcore when you're not doing any exercise, never mind a 5k run.

As for swopping mange tout for green beans !!! I don't know how you sleep at night, hehe xxx

Hello all.

Sorry for the late update, busy day.

So did FF 100% yesterday, which was a struggle but I coped.

I was doing it fine today, until OH's mum rang and asked if we wanted to go over there for a BBQ this evening. I couldn't exactly say no (as she is a bit down in the dumps at the mo - her father passed away not too long ago and there are some will issues I think), so have decided to make today a Success Express (I figured that's the next best thing).

Friday 20th May - Success Express

Breakfast - 2 Weetabix (Hex B) with 150ml skimmed milk (3/7 Hex A) and half a grapefruit. A satsuma.

Snack - more satsumas and some peanuts (7 syns)

Lunch - Coffee from Costa (264ml so 4/7 Hex A1 and 1 syn). Smoked Salmon, Cottage Cheese, Lots and lots of salad.

Mid afternoon - Diet coke

Dinner - Salmon (baked with Fry light on BBQ). Lots of salad again. MAy also try and get some Quorn snausages for a bit of variety and a wholemeal roll (Hex B). 2 syns for ketchup.

Hola peeps.

Happy Saturday.

I'm proud to say I stuck to my diary yesterday which is fabby.

I also completed my Race for Life this morning in 35 mins. It was a lot hillier than I had expected and it is bloomin' warm today so I'm quite please overall. My next aim is to do 5k in 30 mins, which I shall keep on working towards.

My diary for today....

Saturday 21st May - Success Express.

Breakfast - Mixed berries with sweetner and 4 tbsp's fat free natural yoghurt.

Post run snack - Banana and special K mini bites (5 syns - thought they may have been a Hex B and they came in my little race pack - not a Hex B, and not really worth 5 syns but nice all the same).

Lunch - 3 egg omelette with 30g low fat cheese (5/7's Hex A - rest in 2 cups of tea), bacon, peppers and mushrooms. 2 satsumas.

Dinner - chicken, mushroom, pepper and onion curry with OXO curry cube, tomatoes and fat free natural yoghurt. Veetee rice (half pack 1 syn).

Snacks during pub quiz - homemade syn free red pepper houmous with carrot and cucumber sticks. Pagan krisp rolls (Hex B1). 10 Quorn cocktail sausages (2.5 syns).

I need another Hex B in there somewhere...may just have double the amount of Krisp Rolls!

Lunch -

Yea, she seems ok - it's just a bit tricky as he remarried and there's other people involved and she's an only child so doesn't really have anyone to back her up. And OH's dad isn't the most sensitive of people! She'll be fine in the end I think though.

I forgot to take my houmous last night so ended up using my syns on some falafels (5 syns) and a few mini pretzels (5 syns). More than I hoped but not too bad.

Diary for today is...

Sunday 22nd May - Success Express

Breakfast - Lots and lots of mixed berries with fat free natural yoghurt.
350ml skimmed milk (Hex A1) for teas etc.

Mid morning - biscuit (4 syns).

Mid afternoon snack - Haribo, loads, bummer (15 syns). This is what happens when you go into Aldi in a bad mood!!

Hi hun - big well done on the 3lbs, that is brilliant!! I only mentioned half a pound this week, is weird as when I was ill on Saturday I was showing a 6lb loss, seem to have found the other 5lbs in 3 days. xxx

Awwww thanks Lou. Looked at your diary this morning but then got distracted by my kittens who were tearing round the house.
I shall respond to it later.

I ran three miles last night. Some of it was uphill and I'm very proud that I ran the whole time...about 32 mins I think. I'm thinking of signing up to a 10k in august but I can't keep asking people to sponsor me! It's a run in aid of Crohns which is obviously quite important to me though, so I shall have a think.

Diary for today...

Wednesday 25th May - extra easy

Breakfast - 2 choc weetabix (hex b + 2 syns), 150ml skimmed milk. No fruit in house so need to catch up on superfree later.

Snack - skinny latte (rest of Hex A and 2 syns)

Lunch - JP with chicken tikka and salad. Apple.

Dinner - going out for Vietnamese later so with have a rice noodle soup with seafood and use the rest of my syns on that and a spring roll

*Slinks into diary feeling a little bit tender*

So. Went out for dinner last night. Stuck to my food choices. Excellent. But, there is a but. But, I drank wine. A lot of wine. Some may even say pretty much a bottle. And then a cocktail. And then, just because I didn't have enough syns, a tube of Rolo's.

So syns yesterday = 60. Oooooooooooooo.

Looks like I'm on 8 a day for the rest of the week. Supposed to be going out for drinks tomorrow. Not sure how that'll work. I'm doing red for the rest of the week. And lots of superfree.

Diary for today.

Thursday 26th May - Red

Breakfast - 42g All bran (HEx B1) with ff natural yoghurt, blueberries and strawbs. Skinny latte (Hex A1).

Lunch - Salad (lettuce, cherry toms, cucumber), tuna, M&S calamari, Co op wholemeal pitta (Hex B2), 42g low fat cheese (Hex A2). Activia yoghurt.

Dinner - quorn stir fry
