Kirsty's pregnancy and new Mummy diary- from 30 weeks onwards!

Been looking back over my stats and on the day I gave birth I weighed 14st 10lbs and today I weighed 12st 9lbs, which means I've now lost 2st 1lb in the 8 weeks since I gave birth :D :D
Plus I'm just 1st 6lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight of 11st 3lbs :)
And 2st 7lbs away from my new target of 10st 2lbs :)
All numbers that make me happy xx

Thanks :)

I did fall off the wagon yesterday tho- was so tired I just couldn't seem to stop eating chocolate :-/

If we had any in the house then think I would be too!!
Yeh I prob shouldn't have so much of it in the house really, it's just that's what I spend my Syns on when I'm on plan. But of course it has the opposite effect when I'm in sabotage mode!!!

I was so tired yesterday- which meant I ended up off plan boo!
But Oliver had a much better night last night- in fact he had a bottle at 9, went to sleep at 11 and didn't wake until 5 for milk!!!
That's 8 hours in between feeds
It prob won't be like that again for a while- he has an occasional night of sleeping through then he reverts back to type lol
But these nights of sleeping through are becoming more frequent so that's a good sign :)

He's gone to spend the day with his Nan today so I have a child free house!
Got loads of housework to do tho and as I slept so well last night I'm feeling motivated enough to do it!
Got friends over for dinner tonight- they've got a little girl who's 2 days younger than Oliver so that'll be lovely to get together :)
X

Wow go Oliver! Connor is slowly getting longer between feeds then takes a step backwards again!
Have fun with housework, its amazing how easier it is when your child free! X

That's exactly how Oliver was- it's like he was teasing us!!
But he's gone straight through the night twice in the last 10 days so hoping it's a sign of things to come!

I'm just going to take the dogs over the park for a bit (love having a massive country park right on my doorstep :D) and then tear into the housework!
I did some the other day as Oliver loves the hoover- so I ran that round whilst he made funny noises in his chair!
I have the bathroom and kitchen to tackle today and run the hoover round again (one downside to having dogs!) and if I get time I may start sorting out my wardrobe, have to see how I feel and how much time I have! X

Yep got a Golden Retriever so it's flurries of hair most days lol
My Nan used to have Labradors and I don't know which is worse- short fine hairs that stick to everything or long hair that forms hairballs under the sofa's!! X

Had a productive day yesterday- I blitzed the entire house, got all the washing done as well as all the towels and bedding, walked the dogs, sorted out little man's wardrobe, plus went to Tesco for supplies!
Friends over last night- it was really nice to see them and I got to have cuddles with their little girl who's 2 days younger than Oliver :)
She's so little, in comparison- in fact at 8 weeks she weighs 11lbs 7oz, Oliver was 12lbs 7oz at 6 weeks
Food was majorly off plan- so far I've only managed Thursday on plan this week- today won't be any better as my parents are taking us out to dinner tonight!
Have been avoiding the scales as I'm scared lol but will check in the morning to give myself a shock and hopefully I'll be back on plan.
Will prob do Success Express for 3 days- last time I did that after a horrendous few days, I managed to get 1/2lb off so I can only hope it'll work again!
Also Oliver slept until 4:30 this morning woop!
Another bottle at 8 and he's asleep again!

Wow productive day indeed. I was going to have one today but haven't really got going :(

I know what you mean about Oliver being huge. We went to see friends yesterday and her boy is 14 months. He is the same height as Oliver!! To be fair he is short for his age but still. Made Oliver felt like the BFG ha ha x

I was just so motivated to get the house clean and once I'm in the mood, there's no stopping me!!

Yeh it's crazy- my friends little girl is all small and delicate, even tho she was a 8lbs 9oz baby!
My Oliver is so chunky, robust as my friend put it lol!
Going to get him weighed tomorrow, he must be at least a stone by now, maybe more!
Esp as he's in 3-6 months clothes and some of them are starting to get tight :-/
He def gets his build from his daddy and his height from me :) x

I just realised that Oliver is 2 months old today <3

Happy 2 months Oliver xx

Got Oliver weighed this morning and at 9 weeks old he weighs 14lbs 3oz
Following the 75th centile perfectly :)

I've been off plan all weekend and as a result my scales are saying 1lb on :(
Been reading up on the 5:2 diet and I now a lot of people are combining to with SW so I'm trying out a fast day today- however I will be over 500 cals as I've got a lasagne for dinner that I made last week and it takes me over!
I should be closer to 800 cals today but I'm gonna try and keep it under 1000 cals and see how it goes- be intrigued by the scales tomorrow...
I think I'm struggling with SW simply cos of the prepping and planning part of it, I simply don't have time and that's when I go off plan- like today, we didn't go out until 11 and I'd been busy doing the recycling and sorting out bottles and laundry before that, by the time we got home it was almost 1, If I'd had to prep something I'd prob only now be eating it and Oliver is due a feed soon so I'd have missed out, got hungry and eaten rubbish later on...
So I grabbed a 200 cal salad from Waitrose and I've eaten that and got more stuff done in the kitchen before he wakes up...
Will see how it goes x

Maybe we should get weighed when babies do perfect when your busy ha ha. Aw bless your growing boy he'll always be your baby! I never used to get on with slimming world as i don't like veg and hate pealing potatoes for chips most days!!

Maybe try just calorie counting using healthy slimming world recipes theres no restrictions so you can never be 'off plan ' really keep to bout 1500 a day ? You seem to know calories Under 1000 would starve me ha ha !! Either way your doing fab don't be hard on yourself xx

Yeh he's still my little man :)

I've always done well with SW cos I'm quite organised so I enjoy the planning and prepping of meals but with a baby it's tough!
Yeh all my dinners are SW and I'll still keep to that- I just want to be able to grab stuff when I'm out and not have to worry about it being high in Syns...
Once your little one is here, you'll find yourself skipping meals and forgetting to eat cos you're so busy!
So far today I've had just under 500 cals and I feel fine- dinner is just over 400 and quite filling so I should be ok.
We'll see! X

I had exactly this problem. Just not enough time to prep food. I haven't done this much but every now and again I make something that I can freeze portions of, so lentil and spinach Dahl, bolognaise, chilli, mac cheese.... And I even try cutting up veg and keeping it in the fridge because that saves 5-10mins on a busy evening. I do have a lot of quick foods like batchelor pasta n sauce, rice, the low fat fish pie that takes 8mins from
Frozen in microwave, stir frya, jacket potatoes... My food is not massively exciting but it's not going to be long term.

Just be careful reducing calories too low because you need your energy for night feeds etc. I know you won't be silly though x

Yeh whenever I make like a lasagne, chilli, curry or bolognese I always make 4 portions so there's 2 spare for the freezer and then we have a week where we live off the freezer!
And savoury rice is my standard lunch- I try and cook it in the mornings when Oliver is napping, but that's doesn't always happen- I spend that hour whizzing around the kitchen!
Yeh I'll see how today goes and how I feel overnight- if I do manage to stick to under 1000 cals and I feel like crap when I'm up at 3 feeding him, I'll do Success Express instead tomorrow! X
