TS AAM Laura's diary!!

When it comes to cleaning and ironing I'm a bit of a freak lol oh and teeth too but I'm a dental nurse so that's allowed!! I would happily clean all day I get so much satisfaction from seeing things organised and clean, it really helps you think better too! I'm Monica from friends lol c

Maybe a little ;-)

i like to have a clean house and i refuse to use public toilets unless i have too! but i dont DO ironing! i even buy my kids non iron school clothes. i just dont have time for it. would rather sit with my laptop than an iron :D

That's fair enough Julie, everyone has their "thing" I hate washing up so I get OH to do it then moan when he doesnt do it right, poor guy eh.

I think i should have been a bloke lol. I hate ironing, washing up n most other housey stuff. I'm also scared to death by the thought of going to the dentist, i've naughtily not been now for about 2yrs cos i'm such a scaredy cat!

Ooh you can't tell me that Claire!! Now it's my mission to talk you into it!

Hahaha, good luck hun!!! You'll have a huge mission convincing me... I'm such a wuss in some respects but a right roughty toughty boy at other times (i can explain this to ya away from here).

Claire... I am reeaaaaalllyyy good at giving "the fear" in respect to seeing a dentist asap... When I talk about teeth the OH goes and brushes his coz I put the fear of god into him that he will lose his teeth lol, no one likes seeing the dentist but its just one of those 'must do' things like having a smear test, you hate it but you know you gotta just endure it. The amount of patients I see every week who have full or partial dentures that tell me "I wish I'd looked after my teeth when I was younger" , well it's pretty much all of them actually as dentures will never be like your old teeth, problems like not fitting properly due to bone loss. So every year you don't go you are closer to being one those people who said "I wish" and think how much someones teeth make up their smile. The moral of the message... Look after them, not just your teeth, your gums too!!! Gum disease can cause your teeth to get loose and eventually need to be taken out!! (how did I do??? Got the fear yet?)

Oooops scared everyone now... Sowwy :-(

What would make you go? Terrible pain?

Well I hopped on the scales today for a bit of a shocker... Another two pounds down!!! So in total from 1st January that's 12.5pounds!! maybe I will break into the 12 stones this week as I've still got four days before weigh in... I wasn't expecting a big loss this week as I had a fairly decent one foe my first week but wonders never cease! My OH is blown away by my losses, he was away for the night yesterday with work and came back and said he seen a difference in me and that's just not seeing him for a day! I love it! Have a good day folks x

wow laura, the weight is flying off you. well done. ;)
as for the dentist i only go when i get myself in to a state of punching myself in the jaw to stop the pain! i have a real phobia of them. i have to be sedated. i am one of those people who wish the dentist would take out all my teeth and would give me falsies. would be quite happy to put my teeth in a glass every night if it meant i didnt have to go to the dentist!
i have had 5 kids. all natural child births and would rather be in labour than go to the dentist

Trust me Julie you wouldn't want dentures... It's much worse than seeing the dentist, they can never be like your real teeth and most people find them awful especially the bottom ones. They can't eat the things they used to and they move around when you talk. Every one of my denture patients say that they wish they ha kept at least some of their teeth as even if you have a few it's better retention for a partial denture x sorry I get really passionate about it lol

if i have to live off soups then i wouldnt have a weight problem. bring on the false teeth lol.
my mum has just had her dentures fitted and she says she is so glad she got no teeth left now. she is so much happier with her false teeth.
we as a family look after our teeth and i have even been told off for brushing too much as i brush after every time i eat. i just cant stop brushing them as scared so much of the dentist :(
knowing me im going to die with my own teeth :sigh:

Well done on the loss so far Laura.

Im the same as Julie Im afraid. Not because Im afraid of the dentist or anything but because I cant bear anything strange in my mouth. I literally vomit as soon as a dentist goes near it.

Hey everyone!! It's day 14 for me today and I've been 100% for that whole time!! Well proud of myself!! It's WI tomorrow but already had a look this morning and lost 3 pounds so far this week which I'm happy with as I knew I shouldn't expect massive numbers this week as I lost so much last week. Still finding it relatively easy, only evenings and weekends are a bit tough but I get through it. Seeing the results are so worth it, my face is noticeably thinner. I can't wait till people start commenting!! Have a good day everyone x
