ProPoints Let's give this a go

Fish fingers always make me think of my friend Tessa :) I remember calling round one night when her four kids were tucking into platefuls of food. "Wow" I said to the kids " Fish fingers, they look good". Tessa looked horrified and was shaking her head so hard it was in danger of detaching itself from her shoulders, "Don't be silly" she said, they are chicken fingers. They don't eat fish" She had been getting away with it for years  be good - chips xx

Haha, could be. You guys had it a while ago right? Funny how its different in different countries. :)

yea was in March. I didn't even know that haha im so thick xx

Mother's day breakfast looks lovely. Nice to have so many options to pick at. Hope everyone enjoyed it.

Is OH away for work? Have you got some plans to see friends/ family etc booked in so that you aren't sitting at home noticing he isn't there so much? Might be a good strategy to try and keep busy.

Yes, I love having options, :) Id hate it if someone didnt find a food they like in the mix.

He will be leaving on Monday. I will work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Meeting a friend Thursday night, will go to parents Friday and meer up with friends on Saturday and he will be back Sunday evening probably... It is definitely a good tip, I have tried to fill the week up a bit. Tuesday and Wednesay I will probably be too tired anyway so I will just chill at home with my cat. :)

Awww, cat cuddles solve most things I find. My two cats are awesome cuddle-monsters. Although Silly (my female cats) has a tendency to attack my fingers when I am typing (like now!). She insists on sitting on you AT ALL TIMES.

Dogs have an owner, cats have a servant :p
Our cat is lovely, we only have 1 cat. We got her from our previous neighbours, she really does believe sheis in charge in our house. She loves sitting on whatever it is you are working on and she has this evil meow for when she is hungry haha. But I love her to bits, she can be a pain but at the end of the day she just wants to be around me and bf, she is always near us. In the same room. If its not on our lap, its close to us on her cat tree.
Ours doesnt really attack you, normally, but when shes hungry she can really get pissy and moody. She usually just wants allll your undivided attention haha. And cuddles. And more attention. Purrrrrr :)

Awww, what is she called? Both our cats are very people orientated despite there being a cat flap so that can come and go as they please. Silly, our little female cat, is super affectionate and insisted on sitting on someone all the time, you literally only have to be stationary for .1 of a second for her to colonise you. She jumps up to meet anything placed above her head to nuzzle it. But she can be a bit of a madame if you are trying to move her and can dig claws in for use teeth. OUr male cat, Spike, is very different. Totally relaxed about everything, perpetually purring (even when he got microchipped at the vets) and you an pick him up and carry him around or cuddle him like a teddy bear. I wouldn't be without them. Although I sometimes think I would happily be without their hair permanently attached to all my clothes...

Her name is Siepie, after a ,,famous,, cat in a ,,famous,, Dutch kids book called Jip en Janneke :) We have a cat door thing as well, she can go out and fight with our neighbours cat, a nasty siamese cat that sounds like a crying baby. Such an awful sound.
Its nice how cats have their own attitudes and behaviours, its cool. They are just like people. Our cat also feels your emotions, somehow. She is more affectionate when you are upset. Your cats sound lovely and very different indeed.

Oh yes, the hair. That is a pain. She always rolls around on bfs freshly ironed clothes or clothes fresh from the washing machine. They do not smell enough like me, human. I must make hem acceptably smelly now

Ha! Yeah, they do seem to have a homing instinct to freshly washed clothes don't they?

On the subject of cats sensing your emotions this became really obvious on my birthday in february. Its a bit of sad story so sorry for brining the mood down. Me and OH had been out to the cinema and for a meal for my birthday and were driving home. On the main road about 100 metres before the turn off for our road we passed a dead cat on the side of the road that looked exactly like Spike. Our hearts were totally in our mouths, I genuinely don't think I have every been so scared in my entire life. OH quickly parked and agreed he would go and check the cat and I would run home and check to see if our cats were at home. Fortunately for us both our cats were at home fast asleep on the sofa. Still really sad for the cat that got run over and its owners though. We phoned through to the accident rescue place for it to be picked up and checked for micropchip so owners would know. But obviously I was in a bit of an emotional melt-down when I got in and saw my cats. I phoned OH to tell him and then just sat on the sofa and shook. Both my cats jumped down off the chairs they were asleep on and sat side by side by the floor nuzzling me. Its pretty unusual behaviour as they tend to attack each other whenever they are close by but they sat there for a good 10 minutes being stroked and nuzzling my leg. Definitely behaving differently to usual and the explanation for that seems to be that they realised I was really upset.

I think I read this in your diary, I can only imagine how you felt. I would be in such a bad state if I thought my cat had been hit by a car. Good thing you phoned accident rescue place for the cat, otherwise its owners may never find out, thats one of my biggest fears with our cat, that she would get hit by a car and noone would tell us. We would just think she is still out there etc. Yuk!
i can imagine your relief seeing your cats again, gosh. It is great how they can feel how you are feeling and just come and comfort you. My cat is always close to me when I am sad, it is very typical :) They are empathic creatures I am sure of it.

Our poor little kitty has another bladder infection so we took het to the vet this morning.
