I have an app called Yummly. I was looking for gluten free alternatives to things like fajitas and found all other recipes- it's ace!

Hope you're alright!

@Little B yes sob, last official week of mat leave has come and gone but as you say I need to be a grown up again. And anyway it's only for 4 days and then I break for summer holibobs woo!

@Trefoil I had/have yummly too! And one called, I think, green kitchen or similar. I cleared them when making space for an update. Methinks it may be time to reinstall!!!
The mash was so good I may do it tomorrow and add a tsp of whole grain mustard to the party.

When I'm at work next week I need good lunches. So far I have purchased two kilner jars from sains where they are currently cheap cheap cheap on a summer deal. I have a .5 one and a .85 one so some variety. I'm planning to use them for overnight oats to have for lunch instead of brekkie but may also take brekkie dependant upon whether I manage it in the morning. Also in the hairy bikers book they have a posh pot noodle which is so slimming world friendly it's untrue. Basically you take your jar and pop a quick cook rice noodle nest in the bottom. Then layer it with finely chopped and grated veg like carrot, courgette, some ginger, some mushrooms, spring onion, bean sprouts etc. Some shredded chicken or tofu. A dollop of wasabi paste on top and a splash of soy sauce. Then you take it all dry and literally top it up from the kettle at work and replace the lid and leave for 5 mins. Can add seasoning to taste like some 5spice, salt and pepper etc etc.

How cool will that be?? I'm going to make one to take Monday and I'll post a pic. I bought some frozen pre cooked shredded chicken from tesco and if you make it the night before it will be defrosted and good to go. I can't wait to try it!!

Her stuff is amazing. I'm going to subscribe. What I love is that it's all freezable! Perfect for lunches for me when I will have literally zero time in the mornings :) thanks for the pointer @craftermary are you feeling any better at all?

@Little B you have weasels?? Like actual weasels? How do you make a weasel a pet? I want one.

Lol I wish I had an actual weasel, it's what I call my 2 boys, hubby is obsessed about Internet safety and hates the idea of any identifying information about 'his' children being on here or Instagram! I'm not quite so insane but I humour him, hence big weasel and little weasel, it's one of the more polite ways we refer to them at home. Come to think of it actual weasels would probably be easier to tame than my kids, 2 boys 21 months apart wasn't my brightest move ever! xx

Oh! I see. Yes mr LTL is very internet phobic in that way too. I can understand it to an extent definitely. I don't use names either actually although never really thought about why. Mainly because no-one seems to!

**Slinks off in disappointment that you have not tamed actual real life weasels**

I'm sorry! I feel I have let you down now....

**Wanders off wondering where to find real actual weasels and exactly how hard it would be to tame said beasts** ;)

Obviously you would have to use something else instead of olive oil if your on SW.

I am much better today thank you. No pain but still a bit of a dodgy stomach. But at least I was able to go to b&m and Home Bargains today to see if there were any food bargains to have.
Have you seen Paul McKenna's The Hunger Scale.Going too try it this week.:)

I'm using the scale and am definitely at a 3 :)

Here is my posh pot noodle. It's currently "cooking" :)

I'll let you all know how it goes!

They were good :) my noodles were too thick and retained some "bite" so tonight I quickly cooked them before. I know it defeats the object but next time I will buy thread rather than ribbon rice noodles!

My goodness the improvement by cooking the noodles was huge :) so yum and really really filling. I'm taking oats for lunch tomorrow. A break with tradition :). Once again though I'm holding water. Damn the hormones. I feel "puffy" and I know you all know what I mean. I suspect it will reflect on Thursday but I'll hang on a week and see if it balances!

Pot noodles sound great Sam! I remember seeing the Hairy Bikers doing them and thought what a good idea. I know cooking noodles almost defeats the object BUT it's not exactly a huge faff is it- can be done whilst chopping veg or whatever. I like that it doesn't use any hexes! Usually anything quick/easy/tasty uses them :-/ I'm looking at you sandwiches.
Boo to the water- would suggest a cure but I haven't found one yet!

Protein helps your body to shed more water.
Cabbage,cucumber,parsley,salad leaves are natural diuretics.
Drink more water,eat bananas
Take water tablets

I might get some Aqua-ban tablets. I've tried more protein and more water. I'm not a big salad fan so don't often eat it and can't force myself :). So I think the water tablets may be a good idea.

It's a great hex free lunch :) I'm so chuffed with them although trying to eat them out of a jar is all kinds of messy fun so I don't think that they will be any good for the days where i go straight into a lesson!!

Did you want a box of Mayflower curry to try?Our b&m have it in for a squid.
I'm going that way again tomorrow so could get a box and post a box to you.

The 'pot noodle' sounds lovely!
I may have to also give this a go!

I also feel for you with the water, I know how that feels and it's rubbish :/ hope that the tablets make you feel a bit better!

I hope that you have a lovely day!
