Food/exercise diaries for the last two days - still on track for the cardio challenge this week :)

Wednesday - red day

B - Activia first thing. Slimming Eat's American pancakes with bacon (hexb & 2.5 syns)

L - BBQ pulled pork sandwich (hexb)

Afternoon - mcdonald's latte (hexa & 1 syn), rice krispies cereal bar (4 syns)

D - BBQ pork egg foo yung & egg foo yung sauce (3 syns)

Evening - milky coffee (hexa) and bahlsen lebkuchen (6.5 syns)

Exercise - school walk, 45 mins wii fit, 2x 20mins calf stretches

Thursday - red day -

B - Grapenuts (hexb) milk for cereal/coffee (hexa), chopped banana, 6 prunes (3 syns)

L - same as wednesday

D - same as wednesday :eek:

Evening - milky coffee (hexa), reeses wafer bar (5 syns), chopped apple

Exercise - school walk, 45 mins wii fit, 20 mins calf stretches.

Didn't mean to do solely wii fit for the cardio this week but it's so convenient hehe.

My asics trainers arrived late yesterday so will be trying those on the school run today - the narrowness of the sole around the arch is a bit alarming but I presume it helps prevent pronation/putting weight onto the insides of your feet.

Oh, got a pink cauliflower in my organics box this week. Pink Cauli.jpgGoing to try making cauliflower cheese soup for lunch and see if it produces pink soup :D

I got one that was Cadbury purple from my local co-op a few weeks ago - looked really shocking on the plate :eek: It's nice to get these little surprises in with veg box :)

It's had it's picture taken, now it's been souped - it went a kind of mauve/pink colour... bit odd! Tastes like the normal kind :)

I LOVE pulled pork but I am too lazy to make it.

I am gonna have to find the time to pick your diary apart and find lots of yummy foods and recipes!

The pork is easy, you just need to make up the bbq sauce which takes about 20-30 mins then you stick it over pork in a slow cooker and leave it alone for a few hours. The egg foo yung was really easy too so think it'll become a staple meal for me as can just vary it by changing the pork round for chicken/prawns/tofu/more veggies :)

food looks amazing. I am so having those pancakes this week well next week:D as haven't got the ingredients. That looks so lush

I'm so glad to have found those pancakes, think that or making the mix into waffles is my favourite breakfast ever and reckon they'd fool any SW critic :)

Mn the meal's been called off as OH has to work late - going to go next week instead now so might save it for when my child can have a night with a grandparent so we can go cinema for a proper evening out :)

Stuck in with the wii instead lol My xanthan gum turned up today so going to make hot and sour soup and a chicken chow mein to replace the meal out, it might end up being nicer than the meal out anywho :p

Oh do let me know how you get on with the Xanthan Gum, I took my pot to my sisters to make soup and she knocked it over and I lost half of it on the floor :eek: mind you I still reckon there's enough there to do a good few months worth of soup yummy :8855: xxxxxxxxx
 
how was your wagamamas? havent been there since it opened in Newcastle but love love loved it last time I went :D

It worked out okay though I did the adding it straight into the pan as you'd said it needs the hot liquid - it stayed in a clump so had to chase it round the pan and squish it to the side with a spoon lol Think I'll ladle out a 1/4 cup of the hot soup and mix the 1/4 spoonful of xanthan gum with that next time. It's great stuff, I can use it for the egg foo yung sauce too now and save another 2 syns off a regular meal. A 200g pot is surprisingly huge so think I'm set for a year's worth of low syn soups and sauces, thank your C for the suggestion for me :D

We didn't go :( Going next friday now and hopefully having a cinema and childfree night too :) I've looked in my wagamama cook book and reckon I can syn a chilli beef ramen at 3.5 syns for an EE day so not too bad!

Yep, farmer's market today. Thankfully it was dry and sunny, was a complete washout last time heh. I didn't buy too much, ended up in the polish deli buying nice breads and some cheesecake :eek:

Mnn, not very nicely :( Just 0.5lbs off this week. Was expecting it in the that's what they've been telling me all week but not expecting it in that I've been on plan all week and done the exercise challenge I set myself everyday. Ah well.

I'm having a day off plan today so won't be putting in a food diary for today (will do yesterday's in a mo). Going to spend some time recipe planning for the week and I've got new stuff to try out - toadskin melon, prickly pear and a fresh pomegranite, so I'll be back on track tom'ow.

Just feel like I need a day's breathing space so I don't do my nut in over things if that makes sense?

Challenge for this week is going to be a half hour minimum of yoga everyday - good for my back and good for my head. Also OH has hidden my scales so no hopping, not even tom'ow to see if the sourdough bread and the bit of cheesecake I'm going to enjoy today send them soaring :rolleyes:
 
Food diary for friday - EE

B - Ready brek (hexb), golden syrup (2 syns), banana

L - Pink Cauliflower cheese soup (3.5 syns). Apple.

Afternoon - Pack of fridgeraiders (2.5 syns), weetabix oaty bar (4 syns)

D - Chicken noodle chow mein/stir fry. Hot and soup soup.

Evening - Hot and soup soup (counted 1/2 syn for having 1/2 the pan in 1 day), apple. Milky coffee (hexa) & reese bar (5 syns).

Total syns for the week bang on 105.
Exercise yesterday - 45 mins wii fit, school walk, 20 mins calf stretches.

Well done on the 0.5... It's another loss in the right direction. I know it's not your usual huge loss but it's still good.

You are doing so well, don't feel down!

You will enjoy a day of Plan but you will love it even more when your back on plan! :)

I am planning a mammoth cooking session tomorrow, I am making a HUGE amount of your H&S soup!! Enough for lunches every day for me and Hubby!!

I want to try your American pancakes next... Where do I find the recipe Hunny? Xxx

A day off plan may be just what you need and it will probably kick start your weight loss again.

Not had chance to eat much even if I'm off plan - went out on just apple juice since late waking and farmer's market to get to, had a lunch then I've been stuck on here catching up for ages - you and Jackie talk too much when left to your own devices, and your choccie ban is scary, in an impressively ambitious way lol

Bit fed up yeah but trying to just forget about last week basically. Doing like you said and got the OH to put my scales somewhere for the week so they're not messing with my head. With that and your advice re the dodginess of simply be you've been very helpful, do you find that shocking? ;):D

I want to make more hot and sour soup too but I forgot to buy more chillies today :d'oh: It's dangerous stuff though, dropped a spoonful down my cleavage on friday night, it was a cold flannel situation :8855:

The pancakes are from slimming eats :) American Style Breakfast | Slimming Eats - Slimming World Recipes

I tend to just stick in 1 pot of activia ff vanilla yog in the mix instead of measuring out a half cup. They're nice with fruit too instead of the bacon and you can add a bit of cinnamon into the mix aswell for variety :)
