Hi I'm new to slimming world , I have bought the books but do not attend class as I split my time between here and Holland so weekly weigh ins are unlikely but I'd like some support so thought this was a good place to start plus if I'm doing something wrong someone will put me straight! :D

Monday 8th October
Breakfast
Mullerlight with banana
1 boiled egg
1 slices wholemeal bread (HE)

Lunch
1 fig
4 slices parma ham 2 syns
1 tsp honey 1 syn
chicken thigh skinless roasted with cajun seasoning

Dinner
Homemade broad bean and vegetable minestrone free
2tbsp parmesan 3 syns
Muller light

skimmed milk for tea HE

The start of your diet sounds good! I'm the same as you, I don't go to any SW meetings so I follow it from home and buy any books I need off ebay. I've been doing the diet for a few weeks now and I've only managed a loss of 2lbs so far, but it took me the first 2 weeks to figure out that EE was not for me, so I'm sticking to red!

Good luck on your diet, I'll check in to see how you're going from time to time. Plus it might help me out with some tips!

Tuesday 9th October Day 2

Thanks for that, trying to be organised as feel it will make healthy eating easier if I plan ahead.

Tuesday 9th October

Breakfast
2 rasher bacon
2 slice wholemeal bread (from 400g loaf) HEB
1 tbsp brown sauce 1 syn
Melon and pinneapple

Lunch
Homemade sweet potato,red lentil and bacon soup (trying to be a good dieter and a domestic goddess :rolleyes:)

Serves 4/6 I'm classing this as free
4 sweet potatoes
2 carrots
1 large onion
large handful of red lentils
250g back bacon cubed (fat removed)
1 chicken stock cube plus 500 ml water may add more but will see
handful fresh thyme


1 packet Special K cracker crisps 5 syns

Dry fry bacon and onion add rest of ingredients and cook for an hour ..... blend and add fresh thyme. Will freeze the remaining soup for lunch another day.

2 muller lights
1 orange
1 banana

Dinner
Dug slow cooker out of cupboard as trying to start off organised! After a day working nice to get home to something hot plus if I have easy access to something I'm less likely to start on the biscuit barrel!!!!

Herb slow cooked whole chicken
1 medium chicken (skin removed)
2 sliced onions
4 garlic cloves (put in cavity)
100ml made up chicken gravy 1.5 sins
Cook on low for 8 hours and serve with vegetables

I'm having Brocolli and carrots

Milk for drinks

Tesco Mediteranean Cous cous 2 syns
Chicken, roasted veg of sweet potato, onion, courgette and peppers
1 tbsp balsamic glaze 2 syns
1 pomegranate
1 nectarine
muller light
salad leaves with balsamic vinegar

Dinner
Chicken in tomato sauce with courgette and mushrooms
spaghetti
2 tbsp parmesan 3 syns

250ml sk milk for drinks
