Well everyone at work was talking about my birthday in August which was nice of them but then it went onto a subject of weight sizes and what we could afford etc. The people I work with all have really interesting lives lots of friends and get paid more but I can't afford anything big for my birthday I can't fit into the dress I want and I'm embarrassed as if I invite my colleagues out to dinner I couldn't really bring my friends as they can't behave themselves plus I don't really have any proper friends.
My oh wouldn't go either as he isn't good with social situations so then id get asked where he was etc. In general I'm worried about my birthday and also about my life as I almost lead a sedentary lifestyle at the age of 20 it just makes me feel low because I know I can't live like this forever!

It's nothin really I think I'm just unhappy :(

You might be surprised at how different their lives might actually be- I thought a girl in work (skinny and popular) had a brill life but found out she makes it seem better but there are cracks! What would you like to do for your birthday Ruth? X
 
Awwww Ruth never worry! Ones like that in my work- apart from 1 person I don't socialise with work people. Can't be bothered!!

A whole packet of tesco marshmallows 2 points - yummmmmmmy sitting eating the whole bag- because I can :)
 
I don't know I'm normally abroad! Whatever I do im scared it wont be up to their standards. I know what u mean but I find it so hard to appreciate my life!

I can't stand stuck up people who go oh I would have done this or that- my life mind your own business lol

Ruth, I'm 25 & most of my friends live on the other side of the country to me, so I am quite the hermit! I'm not a fan of social situations myself, not keen on partying or clubbing, etc. At least you have an OH! I spend most of my time with my Mum & sister!

I love spending time with my family :) I have an OH that doesn't speak when anyone comes round and still after nearly 5 years can't bring himself to eat at my parents' house. I do love him and feel so lucky to have him but I think he has serious personality issues and a lot of small things are a big deal to him which obviously isn't his fault but my mum is always taking the mikky out of him and if I stop her she tries to get nasty.

Anyway I'm going to stop complaining now as there are much worse things happening in the world and mine is only trivial. I just can't wait to start counselling I desperately need someone to talk to as I always bottle it up.

OH is out- can't wait till he gets in I hate being on my own!

Ruth I like to think that we are all friends here. So u can talk about how ur feeling at anytime xxxx surround yourself with people that you want around you at your birthday and maybe have a nice romantic night with your oh xxxx

And I agree the mallows sound too good to be true lol xxxx
 
Heading to bed very happy with myself -day2 of this week and didnt use any weeklies at all, just need to keep this going for the rest of the week :eek:

Thanks everyone!! I was chuffed when I came out the changing rooms! Its a bit tight on the arms but f*ck it, ill pack em in!

Ruth I agree with the others, and I think in years to come you'll look back and wonder why you ever wasted your time trying to impress superficial people. Your a better person than that.
And as for talking to people, by all means come on here and post a rant if you need to. This is a SUPPORT forum, and were here to support each other. Just to be able to vent a bit helps massively, and I'm sure I speak for the others too when I say that we're happen to listen :) xxxx
 
Bindi - well done for not eating into your weeklies!! Its a bit of a challenge if you've been used to eating them!

LEB - Id love to eat marshmallows :( Im going to have to find some gelatin free ones!! And congrats on the OH moving in!!

Erin - well done for getting into 16's! Its great to know your losing weight and seeing the scales go down but nothing beats getting into a smaller size does it!! I know what you mean about being out of proportion, but I can blame mine on my boobs, before dieting I was an 18 on top and bottom, I dont think I can say im a comfortable 14 I think I just got lucky. Most people say they're an apple or a pear shape but im more of a curly wurly haha!

Ruth - hope ur ok :) I agree with the others! Do what u would like to do! As for OH sounds like he is very shy - does he try to get involved if not it sounds like almost a phobia bless him! Invite the people u want to be there! I kno all this is easy to say because I have issues with my friends and feeling like no-one really likes me and no-one invites me to things... U will look fabulous - that dress will fit by August! U are wonderful and feel free to rant! X

Southside dub - welcome! The only tips I have are take it slow! I think it's trial and error lol - eat all dailies and whatever weeklies u need even all (which I do most of the time!) and then exercise if u like :)
