Hey Lou bad news about the 1.5lb but as you say draw a line under it. Its over and done with. You've got straight back on track which is great. Heres to next weeks loss.

If only I could lose weight as quickly as I put it on......

I'm eating an apple now, it's yum, my mouth was actually watering as I chopped it up.

I buy the really expensive pink lady apples.... they are about 40p each but worth it, plus that's cheaper than a chocolate bar! x
 
my OH insists on those too!! seeing as he pays the bills it 's a bit churlish to refuse!!

Thanks hun, I appreciate that.

I'm going to try a new tactic - I know I may be guilty of not counting syns when I get home (only small things like 1/2 biscuit).... however, I'm going to try and not have any syns at work and then save them for when I get home.

Also - I was really suprised last week when I lost 2lbs as I knew then I'd been naughty (France etc), so perhaps that has caught up with me...

Arrgh still. I (and we) WILL DO THIS x

I also try and save all my syns up for the evening! Makes it more enjoyable and something to really look forward to.

I had a comment to make about your loss the previous week (2 pounds despite being a bit naughty) - I can really relate to this. I've had a week we're I've been a bit naughty (too many Syns or not the right CHOICE of syns which is quite important) and I've had a loss... however the following week when I'm trying to be as good as gold to counteract the previous naughtiness.. I've had a slight gain... it's almost as if it's taking the body a little while to catch up with itself. Don't understand how or why but must be somthing to do with the complicated science of our insides!

Yeah pink lady apples are lovely. I bought some nice onces from Asda but I can't remember the name.

I really agree with this hun, I was naughty over the weekend and WI on the Monday, therefore I think the naughty bit has caught up with me this week.

It makes me feel better if I think this as I'd go loopy otherwise.

I'm bored at work (makes a change) and this time of day is my "chocolate fix" time, it doesn't matter that I've just eaten a huge bowl of veg chilli and am feeling full - my body STILL wants choc, but no no no.

I'm going to push the boat out and have a banana

Yes, that actually does make a lot of sense. Something my consultant said last week really stayed with me...

I used to have a 'bad' habit of having something yummy and 'off' plan on WI nights (afterward WI!). My cock-eyed logic told me it was 'okay' to do this. BUT, my consultant said "you still have to get rid of what you eat that night, before the following weeks weight loss can begin. She's so right!

I know it's common sense, but I had chosen not to see it like that is if that extra food would just magically not count!

So, it is all cumulative, which brings me back to my agreeing with what you ladies are saying.

Oh well, keep on trucking, as they say!
 
Yeah - I was thinking about the "eat what you like" after WI too, I guess it means you will put on weight before you can lose again.... however, I also know that if some people didn't have this then they would come off plan altogether.

I try not to do this as I'm still at the start and feeling motivated, but I like your consultant's way of putting it.

My chocolate craving is now SKY HIGH, I've had a banana and a coffee to take my mind off it but I know the are about 10 fudge bars sat in the bottom drawer on my right..........

I've made my shopping list for tonight and have planned all my meals up until Saturday! If I don't lose next Monday I'm going to eat all the chocolate in England. x

I don't really treat myself to any 'time off' after WI. I weigh on a saturday morning and TBH I'd rather spread my syns through the week and feel like I'm being a little bit indulgent every day rather than having something like a chippy tea and feeling greedy after it, and be trying to claw back the syns the rest of the week!

I can understand those who do want to have whatever they like as a treat after WI though.

Has anyone ever had a sarnie from Pret a Manger? There are some 'tips from slim, European women' on the box and one of them goes something like this:

"crisps and chocolate are not 'treats'. Eat at your peril"

That quite hit a note with me. They might be fantastically tasty but really, other than that, they aren't actually doing my body any good. So eating a pizza (my favourite, favourite thing) or something equally fat-laden isn't doing myself any favours.

Sorry I am waffling and in danger of sounding like I'm on a soapbox!

S: Penguin waffer bar (5 syns)
B: 3 LF pork sausages and scrambled egg
S: Banana
S: Yogurt
L: Chilli mince
S: Apple and banana
D: Steak and onion sandwich (2B's)

I'm going late night shopping after work, just need to get 2 more Xmas presents and then I'm all done.

Ohhh, also.... I woke up last night about 1am and was freezing. I went down to the kitchen and put the kettle on for my hot water bottle......... whilst standing in the dark, half asleep waiting for the kettle I managed to go to the cupboard and eat a penguin!!!

So I've put it on today's plan as I don't think "sleep eating" is free... xxx:8855:

Morning Leila - it's Wednesday...... which means the weekend is in sight!! How are you today?

I got my new shift pattern through for new job yesterday.... I have to work from Sunday morning right the way through to Saturday evening, once every 3 weeks!! x
