LRO...name needs to change, I think ;(

No idea Jess. I reckon they just put up a random number on the scales - cos how can a pair of domestic scales ever measure it anyhow....I just liked the thought that I really do have heavy bones!! Tickled me as I have been saying that my whole life. :8855:

Dont know what killed it...do hamsters eat satsumas....lmao!! Ah you crack me up Rosie!!....sorry to hear about poor hammy xx

hamsters are really hit and miss.. we went through millions when I was a kid (and no nothing to do with throwing and either hitting / missing them as Matty has just pointed out as he noses over my shoulder! :D)

we had one that survived a meeting with a hot cup of tea, a bucket of paste, 2 run ins with the cat and a kamikaze dive off the mantelpiece.. and then loads of others that ended up getting the "hamster flu" and generally getting cold and shivery, then going stiff and popping their clogs on us. Mum finally outlawed hamsters at age 11 when we had gone through a grand total of 27, one mouse and a gerbil that sadly became cat bait.. she couldnt deal with the stress of the cat being able to open the cage doors and the cost of the vet giving them all injections as I used to insist (before money became of interest to me) they all went to the vets to be saved (and yet, even after a tenner injection, every single one died.. :p) Also when I got older I asked the vet myself about it and he said its a number of factors:

1) where they came from
2) hit and miss life span is only 1-4 years
3) stress (apparently hamsters are more stressed the more they are held.. and yet the petshops tell you to handle them more to make them more friendly)

sorry to hear yours pegged it though.. always sad :(

hows the diet going anyway missy? on track? Also, can we book you for our birthday? I want a rhinestone tshirt! But it has to say Rach > Jen :D please!

and as much as my mum is uber amazing.. my party bags look totally sucky in comparison! LOL :D

Best forgo the hamsters then Rosie not representing good value for money.

I think those T shirts for the birthday bash need some careful thought and must include a meaningful message abut the two of them. Any suggestions gratefully received do you think??

I'm on to it

M

I just noticed the 'Fruities' in your menu... do you find they leave a sort of medicated taste in your mouth?xx

No, I really like them particularly the strawberry ones (obviously as they are the most expensive!)

Thanks all on the hamster commiserations - my daughter was so not bothered by it and considering its the 2nd one that's pegged it in the last 2 months - I would have expected a little more concern.

Rach, I reckon we are following your lead on the hamster front. The only thing is we have a really great cage and it seems a waste not to have a hamster housed in it.

spent a lot of yesterday in my car very bored but did manage 20mins on treadmill - not a lot but at least it was something.

I need MEN advice.....explain this to me.

I was out having coffee with a friend this morning and my OH texted to ask if I would take him to the doctors. He said he needed to leave at 12. I arrived back on our drive just as the 12 noon news came on - bang on time I thought. How good am I?

He came out of the house - and in a right narky voice said "why do you have to leave everything to the last second!".

Is it me - or when someone asks you to be there at 12 and you are - then you have done what they ask and they should be THANKFUL not arsey??????

I then said "you asked me to be here at 12, I am. If you wanted me to be here at 11.55 you should have said that."

to which I got.....

"I will take my bloody self there..." - got his car keys and stomped off.

I reckon he's turning into a woman with all this medication - totally illogical response - or maybe I have missed something. HELP!

Rant over....

Ehh I would love to help but don't think I can. I know I get paranoid about being late for the docs (although I always have to wait 30 minutes when I get there) so if he said he needed to leave at 12 I am guessing that he wanted you there about 11:55.

Sorry I can't be more help

Jeez! I thought I was irrational when I complained about Jon being a few mins late

Really have no idea what to say because I don't think you're in the wrong here :p is he normally snappy like this? There might be something else on his mind.

:hug99:

xx

it sounds like he's got PMS.. if you want info on men PMS talk to Lou LOL she knows about it! :D x

Quick update. Still not talking to OH - he's not apologised for being a prat earlier and I just can't be bothered.

Anyway, allows me to be on the computer without him muttering in my ear :8855:

Just been having a bit of an interval session on treadmill. Exhausted now - but hey - earned at least 4 APs.

Not had my tea yet though which is bad to be eating at this time of night. Think I will have a bagel....sandy put me in the mood for one on the favourites thread.

cant help with OH, maybe his watch was fast !!
I dont think hamsters can have citrus fruit. I know when we got ours mr B was very amused that the book said that onions make them angry and now he keeps trying to find an excuse to give poor humphrey some to see what happens!!

He sounds like my ex!! men can be such babies!! lol!!

Starlight;1213983 Thats men for you... nae logic at all. Cant live with them said:
You are so right. It just does my head in though as he can't see how irrational/grumpy/ungrateful he was. Ah, well I didn't lose sleep over it anyway.

Do you have a treadmill at home? I'd love one but we don't really have the space.

Yes we do have one but its in the garage not in the house which is good. I live in the middle of nowhere so getting to a gym just takes too long.

Weighed in this morning at 9st 2lbs - yipee - below my target weight and a loss of 3lbs this week which shows that when it goes on quickly, it comes off quickly too. I am really delighted with that.

I am flirting with trying to get to 8st 13lbs - just for the novelty value really - I don't think I have ever seen an 8 on a scale EVER - well not as the leading number anyhow. We'll see.

Got a couple of meetings today. Out for lunch. Then maybe Davina later. Ooooh how exciting.
