LRO...name needs to change, I think ;(

Hi Rosie

Welcome back ... I'm sure those little pounds will be taking a hike soon and taking their old and new friends with them :)

Good luck!

Hey Rosie, nice to have you back- even if it is with a little gain, you'll have that stone off for Xmas x

yay !!!! Rosie's back !!

Hey :) I'd definitely agree with getting rid of a few pounds before they bring their friends - I'm now roughly up to the same weight as when I started Cambridge  so I think I'm going to go back on it, all the way back to 9st/9st 5.

Anyway - good luck with losing the stone, I'm sure you can do it.

xx

Evening. Well today has been a strange day.

It is my dad's anniversary so we travelled up to Blantyre to go to church, cemetry, lunch with my mum and the rest of my family and it was a lovely day, oddly enough. I had thought it would have been worse than it was. We talk about my dad a lot and I think that's helped us all a lot.

Still on my foodpacks - and was even very good when we went out for lunch having my "normal food" then (you have one normal meal a day....but when I say normal....)

Its day 4 and I think the ketosis will be starting any minute now. I have not done so well with water today so hoping that doesn't delay me any. Once the ketosis starts, its actually a really diet to stick to - its just days 2 and 3 that are hellish but they are out of the way now - plain sailing from here on in, I'm hoping and a stone gone in 4 weeks.

I was also really sad to hear that M had decided to leave. That was all very sudden. Has she gone from the gastric band forum too?

Hi Rosie

I know what you mean about your dads anniversary ... I felt the same on mine - dreading it but actually enjoying it when it was here xxx

I did cambridge for 1 week and although ketosis kicked in (according to my councillor) I found every single second of it hellish lol I did lose a stone in a week though - so not all bad :D

Hope you have a great day!

Hi rosie just wanted to say thankyou v much for the lovely post on my diary & a v special thankyou to your dd:D

Rather you than me on the old cambridge diet,i need proper food, but peeps have told me that when you get into it you just dont feel like food & the results are so quick that your mind sort of tells you to keep on(almost brainwashing??) but in a good way? My friend who lost 4 stone on it described it this way.

Only a stone for you to lose tho so will be off in no time! XX

Thanks for the visits Twiggy and Charly - appreciate it.

I did try to get my head back in gear on the WW plan but just faffed about losing 1 or 2lbs then putting 2 or 3 on - and so on and so on for weeks! It started to do my head in. It would be fine on maintenance but not with the weight slowly increasing.

So, day 7 - weigh in tomorrow. I am not expecting the results that I got the first time around when I lost 9lbs my first week - it will be much lower than that as I have a lot less to lose.

If I lose proportionally the same (21%) then I should be losing about 3lbs this week which is not too bad. When I finish with the packs, I am straight back to WW for maintenance cos I know that it works for me - when I am not acting like an eating machine!

Got my energy boost today so I reckon I am now over the worst - hurray. I don't understand though how I can be so disciplined now when I couldn't be 2 weeks ago - its mental!

Your friend is right, Charly - you just don't really feel like eating once the whole ketosis thing gets under way properly. Its the water I am struggling most with this time and I think it does make a massive difference to the weight you lose.

I am going to lurk in the CD/W8 forums as well to get some top tips...

I find CD much easier to stick to than WW, probably actually because it's stricter, in a weird way! :)

I can't wait to start. It's so exciting to think that I could be 9 stone in as little as 10 weeks (if I'm really good and drink plenty of water :p)
I could be 9 stone for NEXT valentine's day :p in fact, no, I WILL be 9 stone by Feb 14th next year. Wooo! :bliss:

Anyway! :p good luck with it all. I'd imagine you'd still lose maybe 4-5lbs, 3lbs is average is it not? Or are you on a different plan?

Good luck for weigh tmoz.

When I did LL for 7months, I never felt hungry - it's almost like a switch flicks over inside ya head - I went out for a meal towards the end of the 7 months & couldnt wait to get back on the packs the next day - felt so much easier not having to make decisions, never feeling week from hunger, getting the fancies, munchies etc - did miss the social side of it though - and now - well, can't believe I stuck to it for so long.

goodluck for wi tomorrow rosie, dont think id have the stamina to do it so good for you :)

Hi Rosie
Hats off to you returning to packs. I am sure you will get good and fast results. I am back on WW 18 points with an emphasis on low Gi foods and at least 2 litres of water daily. So far I have lost 5lbs in 2 weeks and haven't been hungry at all.I really admire people who can do CD or LL but I have decided I have punished my body with too many diets over the years and now I have to find a way of eating that both controls my weight and incorporates normal healthy eating.
Very best of luck with the WI!

I like your determination, young Jenni. Go for it and February is easily achievable. I have 4 packs per day plus food - and haven't been as strict on my water as I was last time - making sure I get 3ltrs down me though so not too bad.

Weight loss this morning was 4.2lbs - pleased with that. I know that, for some, I could have lost that eating properly, but I just couldn't get into gear. Wish I could have - it would be cheaper and easier!

good luck with wi Rosie, i cant drink water much atm,too cold -much rather have a nice cup of tea!!

I know exactly what you mean, Jane. Coffee is my thing but the water you drink in tea or coffee (even if its decaff) doesn't count. Not sure why,but that's the rules.....joy!
Nope I'm still here, diary back again

Great to see your absence was short lived, M. We would have been lost without your tales! xx

I didn't realise you had been on LL, Bev. Now that I look at your profile, I can see you say that there. How long did you manage to keep your weight off?

goodluck for wi tomorrow rosie, dont think id have the stamina to do it so good for you :)

Honestly, once you get into it, its not that bad! Harder this time than last time though

I absolutely agree with you Lippy - much better to change your attitude to food long term than this up and down cycle that I have been used to. I have stopped it much earlier this time than normal so I am taking some comfort from that and hope that this means that I am a bit better than I have been previously. I know that I tend to be an emotional eater of rubbish and I have had some tough stuff lately although what help sugar is I don't know! In fact - I know it doesn't help one bit!

Ho hum, I am where I am and I just need to keep weighing myself and taking action when its just a couple of lbs rather than a stone.

Week 2 starting today - 1.5lts of water consumed already. On track for a good day. xx

Wow 4.2 is brilliant! You must feel better already! Here's to week number 2 x

I try to drink lots of water but im too damn lazy to be going to the loo all the time..esp when the work toilet is up 3 flights of stairs!!
& no dont say think of the aps im earning it doesnt work like that!

Well done on the brill loss rosie, long may it continue.

P.s charlie & the chocolate factory is one of my fav films the old one of course:D
