Arent you charging to the loo every 5 minutes aswell? x

I was thinking that! Getting your exercising going up and down the stairs to go toilet! ;) :D

That is a LOT of water. I'm glad to see you doing so well and coping with it again, you'll be there in no time at this rate. Do you get black coffee and tea allowed in your water intake or do they come seperately or not allowed at all? Its all very interesting.

Hope you're safely arrived in Penrith ..are you there for long?

M

Evening M. W8 is a bit more "relaxed" than some of the other VLCD's. You get your 4 packs a day, one protein meal, one snack bar (if you want it) and 1/2pt of skimmed milk (which you can add to whichever tea and coffee you want to have). I am here in Penrith till tomorrow lunchtime.

Is there such a thing as drinking TOO much water? Or doesn't it matter? and how does it really help you to lose weight? I've never been a really big fan of water, but brought one of those Water Filters and so getting there slowly try and drink 8 glasses a day :D

There is a danger to drinking too much water in one go - and you are very much advised against doing that. If you have not had your water steadily throughout the day, then you shouldn't try and cram it all in in one go. I tend to pace mine out pretty well though - it's more about being organised and adding some nice water flavourings helps!

well done on your loss Rosie, you're more than a quarter of the way there already :D

also go you with your water - do you not feel "sloshy" with so much water? i'm totally impressed at how much you drink.. i'm like Smirky - struggle to get my recommended daily intake x

Not sloshy exactly - as it finds its way out the other end......running to the loo a lot though which can be a right pain. Your body gets more used to the volume though after a couple of weeks and that slows down a bit.

Arent you charging to the loo every 5 minutes aswell? x

Not quite every 5 mins - but more than normally - and for me, normally is quite a lot....should have done my pelvic floor exercises - let that be a lesson to you young ones out there...do as you are told when you are pregnant else you will be an old Tena lady in your old age!!!;)

Had a good day again today. It is so easy when ketosis strikes as you just don't feel like eating much at all and when you do, you feel very full, very quickly. Had 2 packs today and my omellete and salad tea and feel totally stuffed.

4.5lts of water so far - will go out later and get myself some coke zero - how decadent am I???

Great moment this morning pulling on a pair of trousers which last week showed a very visible VPL....and they were fine to wear! I like the immediacy of this diet - no patience that's my problem.:)

Hiya Rosie..:)
You are doing great with this diet..might look into it..
well done you..x

It works for me fuzzy - but I guess its not for everyone. I was just eating so much sugar that it was getting ridiculous and needed to break the cycle again.

Bought a book about sugar addiction - apparently its a real addiction - so maybe I just have to be like an alcoholic would be and abstain completely from the horrible white stuff!

Still going well there Rosie!! is that how it works then-you run a half marathon each day, back and forth to the bathroom!!

I totally think sugar is a real addictgion, i know if i have sweets it makes me want more and more,i try not to start these days

Now you might have something there Jane - all that bending and straightening too.

Struggling to "eat" my last 2 packs for today - think I will make a vanilla one into a latte type coffee before bed (decaff of course or I will be up all night)

Its weird this ketosis - doesn't put you off food exactly, just makes you feel like you are actually full most of the time so you don't need to put anything else in.

Just watching Graham Norton and the interview with Michael Buble - I know its very wrong, cos I could probably be his mother - but he is adorable and boy, can he sing!

Off to bed to dream sweet dreams.....;)

Step away from the TV you muppet, Michael Buble indeed ...still whatever floats your boat is my motto so on second thoughts just enjoy it!!

Not too sure where Penrith is but thinking Scotland way or up north at least cos its not round here in the midlands, geography was never my strong point.

As son found a Uni he likes and wants to go to yet or are you still ferrying him all round looking? Happy times.

Hope W8 continues to go well

M

Ha ha M called you a muppet rosie! I nearly wet myself!!:D
To be fair i do think you & claire must be a little disturbed to fancy him but hey ho the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing!

I did atkins for about 9 months & i presume the ketosis you achieve on that is the same with cd/w8? If so can totally understand you as i was never ever hungry doing atkins infact some days i struggled to eat much at all! Shame its not a diet thats easy to do long term.
xx

Muppet!! I love that phrase. I use it all the time.....
Penrith is J40 of the M6 - top end of the lake district - very pretty. Home now though.

Michael Bube is rather delish! :D

Hope today is going well for you hun

xx

Today has been good. 2 foodpacks, 2.5ltrs of water and one milky coffee so far. You have good taste young Claire.

It will be -dietary ketosis they call it. It just makes you feel full - not sure how it works but happy enough with it. I think you could get more used to Atkins than the foodpacks long term - it might not be quite so boring! Although in fairness, they have quite a selection of flavours in soups and shakes etc but its all still liquid at the end of the day - M will know how that feels having been on her pre-op milk diet....just a bit dull - but for a short(ish) period of time, I can handle it.

I think Micheal Bubble is quite cute - if a little vertically challenged for me :D
Harry Connick Jnr hits all the right notes tho:drool:

You could always try jamie cullum, think hes only about 5ft nothing! x

I don't know what he looks like - will google him and let you know what I think.

Today has started well. 1ltr of water down. 1 foodpack "eaten"

Pa in law with wife coming today for a few days - so off to get some real food in - they are quite a snacky pair - nightmare!
