Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

I am hoping to at least need to maintain 1st few months or I will end up 120kg ., both previous pregnancies I was about 105-110 kg at the end (big boys 12lbs & 10lb 4oz) from a starting point of about 80-86kg . I'm 10kg heavier this time .,

My DD are at about 1000-1200 kcals so not that low :) I'm not hungry at end of day :) my "morning sickness" kicks in at 18:15 ish so long as I eat before then I'm ok

I'm avoiding bread/ wheat still as it smells yuck! Also as I'm intolerant to wheat/ gluten. Also rice smells yuck too, potatoes apart from chips taste bland and yuck too, popcorn awful smell .. Carrots taste funny

Addicted to bacon, eggs and cherry tomatoes, sardines and cocktail onions, spicy salami, cheese, broccoli.. Dark chocolate., taste of butter. Salt .. Mmmmm

Had a read of a few diary's blogs that did JUDD through pregnancy/ most were overweight to start with.. JUDD seemed to help with maintaining weight during pregnancy.,
 
Feel so nauseous boys had an after school activity today and I didn't eat before we left so now can't eat now.., feel so icky! My roast chicken smells rotten .. Looks lovely and my OH assures me it smells good !
 
Hmmm just had a tin of grilled sardines and cocktail pickled onions .. Feeling better already lol chicken still smells yuck ..

Had more sardines for dinner, with picked onions, beetroot, black olives, stuffed cherry peppers, cherry tomatoes ..
 
Saw the Doctor today 1st appt, was referred to hospital / I will be consultant lead as I will have a c-section (bc have had 2 already). My 1st appt is a phone call on the 14th March. Is a new way of doing it since I last had my youngest Son 4 years ago.

Doc also said to keep going to my exercise class, just listen to my body etc
Said about pregnancy vitamins

The big thing she said was I had to not put any weight on! Told her I was JUDDing / 5:2 with 1000-1200 kcals on DD and she said that's ok.

She said as my BP was very good, no diabetics, last blood tests all ok .. I should not be classed as higher risk cause I'm 40.
 
Loving your sardine menus although not quite as keen on pickled onions :eek:
Must admit I lost weight first 3 months pg with my DD but only because I could barely eat and had to survive on hot cross buns - hardly healthy nutritious food! It went down hill from there and took me 7 years to recover (ie lose weight) so I understand your caution. Good luck and good to hear GP on side
 
Thanks, I really don't want to gain too much so I'm trying to loose or sts by kcal cycling .. Or JUDDing with higher kcals on my down days than 500 .. Fingers crossed it continues to work!

Dinner was huge., so hungry (greedy) had loads of salmon, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes and Brussels .. Devine :) all salmon gone now ;) sigh! Back to sardines
 
Was out for lunch at a cousins for lunch today .. Was do nice and ate loads .. Not at all hungry tonight !
 
Was not at all hungry this morning .. But come 4:30pm I started craving something sweet.. Not chocolate or candy .. So made an arrowroot berry pancake, hit the spot .. But was hungry again an hour later .. Chicken mini fillets and veg and was then feeling way too full .. Then my sick feeling kicked in .. Feeling full and feeling sick not a good combination .. Burping like anything!
 
Lol dinner tonight was.. Arrowroot berry pancakes again .. Was feeling but ill and was all I fancied ..
250g berries
1T arrowroot
4T water
Vanilla
Butter 1T
4 eggs

1T butter in pan with berries add batter and cook in oven for 10 mins
 
Was feel ill this morning which I've not had much of yet.. I tried plain egg.. Nope .. added some salt .. .. Amazing sickness goes away.

Have fallen out of my patten of lower kcal days .. Will start again Tomorrow have plans today .. Coffee morning.. Been craving sweet and tart .. Not chocolate or candy .. Berry crumple .. Berry pancakes (primal)
