Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

Hope all goes ok in the morning. My son goes in to year 2, scary!!!! He is already telling me he doesn't want to go but it's to be expected they've been off nearly 7 weeks this time x

My son is so excited to go back to school and see all his friends, he's been up since 6am. He's dressed and ready to go now :)

Settled oldest son at school, thankfully no tears. Then I walked home 3km which took about 45 mins as was walking with youngest son. Glad it's a lovely sunny day :)

As I can't drive need to walk and use buses/trains to pick son up from school later.

I'm waiting for the bus to take me to pick mine up, I bet he's been in trouble for back chatting, he normally is first week back!!!!

Walked to school to pick up oldest son took 35 mins and 3km, and 38 min and 3km more home again .. Have walked 9km today :)

Well done you x x

My shoulder is aching tonight, prob all the walking jolting it a bit much.. Going to have a wash and into bed to rest and sleep.

Have my appt with doctor tomorrow afternoon. Think they will take out my stitches and let know how the op went etc and any plan of action ..

For breakfast this morning I had some food doctor fig and cranberry granola, I had only one portion. If it had been a couple of mths ago I would have craved a second or 3rd bowl bowl of .. I am strangely dissatisfied with having eaten it.. It was nice but not so great that I want to eat 1/2 the box which is what I did a couple of mths ago.. The cravings for what ever made me eat so much of it before just are not there .. I'm pleased about that! But I feel like I missed out because I didn't have my usual bowl of choc Cheerios lol

Ooo and my script for xen has finally come in.. Will have to ask the doctor if it will react with any of my other medications :)

I wonder if it was linked to pain, the carb cravings I mean...

Sounds as though xen is back then!

I think so - as a kid before my accident at age 11 I didn't eat much sweet things - ok I liked choc, sweets and biscuits etc.. But I wouldn't eat a whole bag or packet and still want(crave) more - I remember my mum talking to someone and saying 'but she didn't used to eat so many sweet things' I am thinking that I used the sugar high to combat the headaches and other symptoms..

At the mo I'm not craving sweet things, I'm not really wanting to eat bread, pasta etc - just don't fancy it.. The smell of toast used to make me want some.. And one piece was never enough.. Just not interested.. Also not feeling so hungry all day.. Didn't even want any popcorn, which I can never normally resist lol

Just hope it continues :)

It's definately linked. The more pain I'm in the more I eat :(

Just seen the specialist, who I must say is quite abrupt, not interested in chit chat or speculation on how the injury was originally done..

He said that it all went well and he was please with how well he repaired my shoulder. They took the stitches out and I can have a shower yay!! But just realised how am I to do that with out taking my sling off??

Must go ask!

Was a bit cheeky and went up to the day ward where I knew the physio people would be and asked them a few questions about how to take my sling off to have a shower and how to stretch my elbow ... Physio's comment was that the specialists have a blasé attitude about the sling and how long it's on etc. even tho he's the one who left instructions on leaving it on for 3 weeks/ until I've seen the physio..

Any way I know now how to stretch my elbow and have a shower. Yay!

Yay I bet you really enjoyed that shower x x

I will do once I have it, OH got home a bit late tonight, maybe tomorrow.. Or I might just wait till the end of 3 weeks before I take my sling off - like I was told in the 1st place .. Will def have a wash and clean my shoulder area tomorrow during the day, but not a full shower as I will need a lot of help getting in and out and washed properly.. Will get my hair washed at hair salon again tomorrow or Sat

WI today I've lost 700g (1.5lbs) this week - happy with that but think it might have been more but I got up at 3 am to take some pain killers with a big glass of water..

Feeling bit rubbish today as my youngest son was having trouble sleeping - sore legs and he ended up in bed with me which was nice I must admit (lol) but very uncomfortable as with my sling I find it hard to get comfortable anyway .. End result have a headache... And am a bit irritable.. Thank goodness for my helper I can at least rest this morning :) anyway took all my tablets and I'm sure my headache will disappear soon!

Hope the pain eases today and well done on your loss x x
