4 weeks, how exciting. Is it near where you live Mere x

No the wedding is in Dundee we live 100 miles away in Ayrshire. We are staying in my sons guest room the night before the wedding to help get the twins ready. Although they are 15 and perfectly capable of dressing themselves to wear the kilt properly is a bit of a complicated fouter with shoes having to be tied the correct way etc. the best man is English so we will probably have to sort him out too!
The night of the wedding we are staying in the hotel in Dundee where the reception is held. Not sure if you have ever been to a Scottish wedding but it is almost an all day affair with the service, a meal, champagne and speeches followed by dancing then a supper and usually finishes at midnight or later. I am really looking forward to it but both the bride and groom are so laid back and disorganised that it will be a minor miracle if the day goes off well. A couple of weeks ago they had not hired cars or bought the cake because they forgot!!! x

Never been to a Scottish wedding and it sounds wonderful. Funny how some people are so laid back. My middle boy is like that, never worries about anything but then I end up doing the worrying. X

A Scottish wedding is wonderful, but I am the one doing the worrying instead of just turning up. I don't think I will relax until all of the guests arrive!
There is also a good chance we will get snow which will cause problems for our side of the family since we are all travelling at least 100 miles and my poor sister and her hubby are travelling down from the far North of Scotland, a distance of about 300 miles. x

Had a good down day yesterday and finished on 550 calories. I am trying for a good upday today so breakfast was scan bran with peanut butter and banana and now I am off to the gym. x

Up day ate just over 1200 calories but exercise was over 500 cals used so I am happy with that. x

Thanks Marge I am feeling virtuous tonight. I got on with doing my family tree to keep myself busy while hubby sat watching a film. I did pinch one of his crisps but ignored the wine. x

Had a very good day Marge. WI this morning STS which is ok after the over indulgence of the weekend. I am going out for a meal with friends tonight then tomorrow having a day out with hubby to celebrate getting engaged 45 years ago so no doubt that will involve eating out. I will have to be careful with my choices then strict on Saturday and Sunday. 3 weeks on Monday until the wedding and 5 lbs to lose. Can be done. x

We had a great day out. We went to Falkirk to see the Kelpies, the biggest equine sculpture in the world. They are made out of steel and are amazing. We did the guided walk which let us go inside the structures to see how they are made. Worth going on line to look for them and you will see what I mean. Had an Indian curry at night, naughty, naughty with a bottle of champagne! Today has been a water protein day to make up for it, 300 cals so far. Very cold here too. x

Sounds like a lovely date! I'd love to see the kelpies, they look amazing on TV so the impact in real life must be marvellous. Glad you enjoyed your meal. I hope all the wedding preps are under control. X
