I survived today's lunch out. Had pate with tiny oatcakes and salad followed by salmon with vegetables. It was lovely and not too naughty. I skipped on the wine and the dessert.
My next trial will be the hen night on Saturday, we are having cocktails followed by a meal in the city centre then going on to a night club. My daughter is allergic to alcohol so she will not be drinking. I will probably be the one driving so I will only have one glass of wine. The drink driving laws in Scotland are so strict now and the police are out in full force stopping everyone and giving routine breathe tests that it is just not worth risking an automatic fine of £1000 and a criminal record! For the sake of an extra glass of wine or a wee cocktail. The bride assures me her sister, who is organising everything will make some mock tails.
