Ooh there are some luscious ideas there! Might well be bothering you for some recipes :) xx

Minky I need your help please.....who else could I ask about pickled gherkins lol. I've looked in my food directory and it says they're superfree, but does that apply to all brands?? I have some from asda and the third ingredient is sugar....I've had 2 of them and I love them!!! Had them on my subway salad yesterday and now I'm actually in love with them :)

Free free free!!!

The sugar is just in the pickling juice - I think it's to stop them from becoming too sour? But it's so minimal, hence, syn free.

So munch away m'dear!! Xx

Thank you so much for your super quick reply :) I have some gherkins on my ryvita and Philly and have been waiting to find out for sure before I ate it lol

Bug away Hun :D always happy to supply a recipe. Just fancied trying some different things xx
Ooh, well done for the planning :)

I love the mini malteaser bunnies you mentioned. The best thing? Even if i go nuts and scoff the whole bag of them it is 15 syns so could for in ok (i usually don't use syns during the day)

Yay for swede mash too. It is a solid way to get through potato withdrawls on a red day.
I always struggle on red days to think of non carb 'carby' type veg and tend to have roast bns or swede. And bunnies ftw! Xx

I get shouted at off my OH for asking him on a thursday wat he wants for tea saturday and Sunday :-/ i think he wud flip out if i planned for the next week n half hehe.
The boy gets no choice, he either has what I give him or goes without. Purely because he is an oven or microwave kinda guy aka lazy. He can't wait for me to go out Saturday so he can have these cheesy bacon pastry things and beans for dinner - bet they are lush but syns to the sky! Xx

So! Cowboy pie / hash. It's not a recipe as such, more of a I have some cooked mince and need to do something with it :D

It has the following (can't really give quantities but just adjust to mince portion size as you see fit!)
onion, grated carrot, mushrooms all fried off.

Then add the mince and brown off.

Add chopped tomatoes, Tom purée, rich beef stock pot and herbs/spices - I used oregano, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, chilli flakes and garlic granules.

Reduce and thicken. Stir in a can of baked beans and pour in a casserole dish.

While all that was going on I'd chopped some small potatoes (leaving skin on for fibre) and roasted with some salt and pepper sprayed with frylite. When practically cooked, place on top of mince mixture, coat with HexA cheese and bake till melted / cooked / heated through.

Serve! It's in the oven now and I hope it tastes as good as I hope!! Xx

OH doesnt mind mince but my sis always takes the Pi$$ outta me lol. before I started SW i really had no imagination re food ideas and used to use mince a lot. So sis now always says whats for tea? are you using your cook book 1001 ways with mince the cheeky mare

Thanks love, think i'll make this tomorrow! :D xx
