MinkyDinkys SW Success Diary!!

Emsie,
have you heard of 'free2go' it's Sw for 11 - 15 yr olds ? They can attend free of charge with parent. xx

My daughter goes with me, even though she is a size 10/12 and 14 years old. she just started to feel uncomfortable in her clothes and wanted to get rid of her very small belly. she is encourged to eat as much free food as she wants, as many healthy A and B as she wants, and make healthy swaps i.e chips for SW chips, crisps for low fat crisps, cake to WW cakes. so far this year she has lost one stone 3lb and got her 10%. i thought it was important to try and teach her at an early stage how to manage her weight and educate her about food, so hopefully, unlike me, she will have a healthy relationship with food

I know - its amazing to think the patio is a sandy colour underneath! Went out and bought new patio furniture yesterday so needed a nice looking patio to put it on. Although I've done half and the damn thing has stopped working! Really want to finish it and have the garden looking lush by the time Dave gets home tonight!

I so want an egg roll now!!!xx

Oooh will have to see the new furniture once it's all done. Have you got it working again? Don't think it'll be as fun if you're on your hands and knees scrubbing :D

Egg roll was lush. But got a hankering for peanut butter on toast for some reason?! Xx

Lol. Thankfully yes! It had just tripped the extension lead :)

Will deffo take pics when it's done :) xx

Lets do it Minks...Saggy Girls on tour ;)

This is the thing I regret the most, not doing it sooner for the loose skin not to be there. I see people stuffing food into their mouths and I think don't do it. I wish I had done all this sooner! What a waste of life worrying about being overweight.

Lunch!

Just done me food shop for tomorrow too. Got some yummy food coming up - too excited!! (s'bit gay right?) xx

Nah, not a bit gay at all. One of things I really miss is being able to do food shopping on line & buy really nice bits. I used to get excited when the devery arrived too. Sometimes when I get back to the uk, I go to Tesco or Sainsbury's just for a mooch & to gaze longingly at the sheer variety of yummy stuff. And don't get me started on the cottage cheese varieties!

I think because my boyfriend doesn't really care for food and see's it as 'just something I have to have to stay alive', I feel kinda silly at getting excited over it.

I hate not being at home when the shop comes! I like to check it all, put things in their specific places (in meal plan order or BBE dates, yes I am anal!) and hide my treats away from the boy :D

Where abouts are you then if not in the uk?? Xx

I'm in Switzerland. There's nothing at all wrong with the food here (in fact I should say its pretty good), and the quality of Swiss meat particularly is really good, but the concept of large supermarkets with infinite variety doesn't appear to exist, or at least not in my area. Also, specifically marketed low fat items are few & far between, and cottage cheese almost impossible to find.

I used to get a great tesco delivery when I was in the uk, used to mostly be delivered by a cute Polish guy, & I used to try to get it delivered after my SW class, so I'd be really fired up about the next weeks menus. OH was working away, so it was all mine!!!

Kinda miss it now....

Ok so after doing all the lunches and stuff I'm sitting watching Embarrassing Fat bodies... Does anybody else watch these sorts of programmes hearing the people say 'oh I've tried everything but can't lose weight' and actually shout at the tv? I literally have sat shouting at the telly 'just stop eating cr@p!' or 'follow bloody SW!!'

You can lose frigging weight if you actually want to! Grrrrr!

Me too lol

Oh my egg roll envy! And reading through today i want doughnuts and peanut butter.... Oh my god... Peanut butter doughnuts!!! Sorry, I will be making the kids even fatter!

I think sw is amazing. And it should be promoted more. I always thought it was yet another faddy weightloss thing, and WHY would I pay £5 a week for someone to weigh me?!? I think breaking down those perceptions would really help. Love the saggy skin club ladies. I've not lost enough to have saggy skin but my boobies are racing to the floor.... I don't think I'm allowed to expose them to kids though!
