MinnieMel is nolonger considers herself a CDer. One final post.

Hi Caroline -- Congrats on getting so much school work accomplished. And, I HOPE the age of reality TV is over (I can't tolerate it).

BB -- I suspect you can shop anywhere. I have loads of magnets -- if you did not order any, send me a list I may have some you can have.

Sam -- You are the soul of brevity, but sounds like you are very good and focusing on "things other than eating". Well done. Are you packing your gym bag to go to the gym? If so, what is your workout programme/plan. Also, any special reason for moving house? Find anything interesting?

Hi Lindsay, Be sure to post pics of your cross stitching. I used to do that years ago -- I like crafting and seem to do things for a bit, spend lots of money on the materials, then move on to something else. lol

I think I am going to have to take up knitting asap as my daughter is learning it in school and needs some support. I'm going to get a book on teaching yourself -- and then see if the "Stitch and Bi*ch" group that used to meet at the coffee shop near here, is still meeting up.

What I am doing instead of eating...

I did not post what I did yesterday... but I'll try to make it brief:

Sat. 23/01/2010
Got up, dressed, had DD do some homework, did a little housework, talked to a friend on the phone and made a booking for a one day trip to France on Feb. 16th -- Channel Tunnel promotional booking going on now 15 pounds day return car and passengers (it is 1/2 term, DD's actual 11th birthday, so we'll go to France for the day). Then, tried to get tickets to Avatar 3D for 8:20 p.m. showing (sold out), went to Cambridge to see our friend in critical care (had a horrible accident Christmas eve) -- spent 3 hours there (we were out of the room for over an hour whilst he had care given). Stopped on the way home -- rather late and got DD Kentucky Friend Chicken (looked gross to me). I had cut up CD bars for DH and myself, but I also had some green salad no dressing and vegetable soup, clear broth (I was starving). Came home, got DD to bed, and watched tele with DH until too late.

24/01/2010

Had a lie in, did a little laundry, unloaded/loaded dishwasher, gave myself a pedicure whilst watching tele, and now need to get DD going on some Girl Scout work and homework -- plus, I need to get showered, dressed and to the shop for for things to take to the friend's daughter at the hospital -- she is living there. I'll be heading over there about 3, as I am going to have DH take DD and friend to a film this afternoon.

Today I've done another load of washing, tidied the house a little, tidied my bedroom a little (still need to sort clothes), cleaned out the geckos, applied for a bunch of part time jobs, and I'm now trying to decide whether I shall go on the Wii Fit or watch a movie. Maybe I should do the Wii first, before I forget, and then watch a movie in a bit.

CG -- Very productive day, and it is early yet. Well done.

MM

Well the Wii Fit was a bust. I'd left all my Wii stuff at my sisters over Christmas and got it back the other day, but she's given me the wrong remotes, and these don't have batteries in. Managed to find an old camera with 2 AA batteries in so swapped them into one of the remotes and thought great, here we go, turned the balance board on and it turned off straight away, the batteries have died!! Have searched the house high and low and can't find any more! My TV and DVD remotes have AAA batteries. So I'll have to get some tomorrow.

I heard back from one of the jobs I sent an email about. The ad didn't say a lot about the job, so sent an email asking for more info. And got this reply...

"Thanks for your reply to my ad. I’ll keep it short because it might not be your kind of thing, I’m a 30 year old businessman who’s looking for a girl to meet up with now and then whenever im staying at a local hotel to let me give her a spanking. I’m not after sex of any kind and there doesn’t even have to be any nudity, I’m a safe and happy guy who just loves doing this so if you’re still interested just let me know."

Umm I think I'll pass on that one!!

Hey, At least he is honest -- which is more than I can say for most men! lol

MM

bet that job pays well! oh how i laughed at that, thats for sharing

£50 a time for less than an hour!

not bad money lol, would boost you confidence pmsl

well i just went a good walk to avoid eating came back then had my allowable snack

Oh Caroline, just read about the job; an interesting 'position'!

MinnieMel - thanks for magnets offer, my friend ordered 4 for me via Ebay, including an Elvis Hawaii magnet (the original went missing because it was also a bottle opener - say no more!)

Tonight to stop myself from eating, I turned myself into chocolate and roses - sort of. A divine roses scented shower using my favourite L'Occitane, followed by a generous application of Palmers cocoa butter skin lotion. Yummy, how could I possibly cheat after that pampering? x

Hi Ladies --

Got up, got DD out the door and off to school, did a little bit around the house, a little email/computer work, and met up with a friend to go a weekly market in a nearby town. "Did the market", hit Tescos, check the post, got home and started DH and DD's dinner, read a magazine, took a phone call, then went to a doctor's appointment. I weighed 2 stone less than the last time they weighed me... but I know that I am at least 1.5 stone up from my goal (which I was at a year ago this date). I need to do a little laundry work, some more housework, and I plan on going back to the hospital this evening after 6. I plan to only stay a couple of hours, I need to get to bed earlier and get more done around here tomorrow.

the spread sheet so far is rather interesting!

Sam I've got a spread sheet I can email to you if you like, it tracks your weight, BMR, BMI, measurements, clothes size, and then has some other bits on there for when you go higher up the plans. My email is [email protected] so feel free to email me if you want it, and I'll send you a copy :)

I'm feeling a bit guilty about not making the work out classes -- but I have been back and forth and at the hospital every day since Saturday, and I need to prioritise. I am home this morning doing laundry and some other chores, and I have manadatory errands to do -- but will going back to the hospital for 2 hours tonight (and that adds up to 1.5 travel time, 2 there - so at least 3.5 hours). Sunday will be the first day I don't go and that is because we have prebooked and paid tickets for a show in London. I want to be there to help the family, but I am hoping that something can be worked out that more people get on board take a "regular shift". People pop by once -- and that's done and dusted... and in the meantime, this teenager is on her own all day and night sitting vigil with her father.

Sorry for the rant... what I am doing is my best (I hope).

MM

MM you shouldn't feel bad, you've got a lot going on at the moment, and the going back and forth gives you exercise! You have to prioritise at the moment, and I think you're making the right decisions.

Thanks CG -- You are always so positive and fab! I like the 2 stars for three stones idea. I am not sure about the grandparents -- as I am assuming you have one still living and that might seem as if you need to leave a little room for one day... and that makes me sad. I love the Tat on your foot -- I so adored my mother's mum. I know what unconditional love is -- because that is what she gave me.
