ProPoints My challenge to lose 10st in 15 months.

Yep that's the joy of takeaway nice and easy to just dish up rather than cooking. I like cooking when I've got the time and energy but sometimes lazy is the way forward. Still undecided so I'll play it by ear although I have points from lunch free now too no point eating lunch this late in the afternoon. You seem a lot chirpier today is the vertigo easing off? xx

Ooh sounds like you have plenty of points left then, you could end up being very virtuous! A lot better thanks, my eyes feel tired and achey from the dizziness, but it's definitely settled down, hoping it's done with now but at least if it comes back I can go moan at the Doctor!

Well what a lovely weekend! I survived it with no naughties that took me over my points so I am on day 7 of being 100% again already. That's gone so fast! Deffo going to make it until the end of this month on plan so October is the next goal to aim for 100%. I've got a body shop party booked Friday so that's one less night of snacking in front of the tv that can trip me up and there's 20% off at the mo ladies just to give it a shameless plug lol

Had a good clear out Saturday of old books and some random useless stuff that was cluttering the shelves of the bookcases. Bought a new one, shuffled all my 350+ DVD's onto said new one and only the books I read and CD's I listen to went onto the old one and now I have space for any more DVD's that I will no doubt buy and be given by the end of the year. Am I odd that I like throwing stuff away, it just feels so good to de-clutter! Ooh ordered some new bedroom units too which will help the bedroom stay a bit more mess free but it will never be a totally lovely house as I live with a teenage boy, messy 6 yr old and a lazy git lol

Today's foodage

Breakfast - Dairylea light on toast (10pp) 2 cups of tea (4pp)

Lunch - Soup (1pp) WW petits pains with low fat spread (8pp)

Dinner - Sticky BBQ chicken (7pp) Sauteed potatoes (10pp)

Snacks - Popcorn (13pp) Apple, nectarine and peach

Ah day 7!!! So proud! You've got this Sweet, I know you can do it. My weekend was not so good, but I'm back on it and my excuse for naughty food is gone, so 100% for both of us from now on, imaginary pinky swear!

I was a bit apprehensive about the weekend as I always am but it was fine and I did have my Chinese Friday night but all within points. I'm not dreading weigh in this week so it's all feeling a bit lovely this morning and not like a Monday at all. I bet you weren't as naughty as you think xx

Ohhh I was! :p But it's in the past and that's all that matters, no takeout till Halloween, 100% goal for a month and Jillian, see where it gets me, I'm so longing for my big losses back. I'd really love to kick off a stone by then, not sure how possible it is, missing my size 12 jeans - jeez even some of my 14's are too tight!

Have you got all your meals planned or do you do it daily?
XxX

I do it daily but when I find time I need to sit and think of some new recipes. I've always been the same with food, if I like something I'll eat it regularly especially if it's convenient and then I get bored and do the same with new dishes. Loads of people are raving about the Hairy Bikers at the mo cos a lot of their recipes are low in PP's so I might buy myself a copy from amazon and find some inspiration xx

I plan about 2 months in advance, but if I have something planned I really don't fancy it throws me off completely! I'll feel horrible guilty if I have something else even if it's on plan, and everybody knows what a vicious cycle guilt is for dieting! All I want to eat at the moment is rice, could eat it every night!

They both did fantastically with their weight loss, good idea to try some of their recipes - doubt they're SW friendly!

I don't know because syns and pp's are calculated so differently. Worth a look though and I know they do their own sauces for convenience but only in Asda where I hardly ever go :/ They did do really well fair play and it can't have been easy when they have to taste as they cook and do it for a living. Their meals always tend to be really hearty so especially good for the colder weather on it's way.

See now I haven't missed rice at all since I started using cauliflower instead but there's always something that you'll crave when you're trying to lose weight. At least rice is free on SW so you can have it if you want to but it's one of those things that confuses me about sw because it's free but still really calorific xx

Imagine having to lose weight when you cook ALL day, you're probably thinking of it 24/7 too as you're coming up with new recipes!

A lot of stuff about SW is confusing like that, my issue is I hate veg with rice, I can't put veg with curries or rice dishes at all, so if I have rice it's just, rice, egg and peas and the SF suffers, though guess I could always do a fruit salad for pud! Or I could just have a mugshot....which is free :S

It doesn't make sense but it works and I never knew until recently that people my weight can have 20 syns a day rather than 15. I was reading weight loss bit*hes blog and saw something about it. Now she has done well with SW just wish I had her will power. Fruit salad for pud would be a good idea to get your super free in and quite light after something stodgy like rice too. Just ordered one their books so I'll have a look how SW friendly it is when it comes and let you know. If this book is good i'll get their new one too think it's out on the 9th and any inspiration is good for me because even korma is getting boring now lol xx

Oh didn't know that, thought I suppose it makes sense, like on WW with the more points for more weight. I just geustimated at 10!

Just found out wages haven't gone in! Going to have to improvise a meal tonight with the few veggies I have - not a lot of anything healthy in the house!

I always used to go by the 15 but I could never find a reference anywhere whether you needed less as you lost weight or whatever but i would make sense if they decreased with your weight.
What is it with us? There's always something trying to stop us eating healthy. Shout at your boss and demand some money lol Is there a possibility of something low cal even if it's not SW friendly? xx

I can still do something SW friendly, just need to have a hunt I think, I'm sure I've got a bag of frozen veg at the back of the freezer and some quorn and always have chopped tomatoes , so could do chilli, or spag bol or improvised shepherds pie. Just wont be anything adventurous or overly tasty! Better be in by tomorrow!

The idea of SF is to fill you up with it instead of free foods, as they have less calories than free and are still filling. :) What about roasting some veggies first and snacking on those, then having dinner?

And I think larger people are given more syns because our bodies are used to more calories. When I started I had the runs for a good week because it was such a change to my body.. That's probably why they're allowing extra syns now haha. I've always stuck to 15 though as my first consultant didn't tell me otherwise! Tad annoyed with her as she should have given me the correct advise.. oh well.

Found frozen peas, carrots, soya beans and an onion sand had some potatos going slightly off, so did veggy mash with some quorn sausages that were lurking (I really need to start clearing stuff in my freezer up!) and onion gravy - not totally unhealthy! I totally get the idea of SF, there are just some meals that my brain goes "No, don't you dare put those in there...". I'm pretty good with snacking on fruit during the day so a one off meal with less veggies shouldn't do much damage!

How are you doing this morning Lisa?

I agree, I know why you should have a third SF on your plate but as you don't eat a huge amount of free foods anyway having your SF seperately can't be doing you any harm. Dinner last night sounds nice, I love a bit of mash and a sausage is always appreciated here ;)

I'm doing might fine thank you Emma and how might you be today young lady?. Taking this afternoon off to go with my bestie to pick up the keys to her new house. I'm so pleased she's moving from a really poopy area to a 5 minute walk away from mine. Not for her sake mind just so I've got somewhere to escape to when Dai does my head in haha

Breakfast - Turkey bacon sarnie (12pp) 2 cups of tea (4pp)

Lunch - Tomatoes on toast (10pp)

Dinner - Steak (7pp) Carrot & Swede mash (5pp) Breaded Mushrooms (11pp!!)

Snacks - mini magnum (5pp) french fries (2pp)

Lovely tasty day planned with a couple of points left over and it's the last day of September so I've done 8 days 100% and hit my end of September mini goal xx

I'm doing good today, though I thought having a decent brekkie would mean I'd be full up but I'm starved!

Ooh new houses are exciting!! Even if it is for selfish reasons! :p

Breaded mushrooms sound lush, as does the mini magnum! I'm having around 8 syns a day to save some for a friday night treat, which may very well be a magnum!

I'm so proud that you've done 8 days 100%, are you looking forward to WI tomorrow?, you're nicely spurred on for 100% Oct too!

Yep no dreading the scales this week and whether it's 0.5lb or more I'll be happy as long as they're going in the downward direction. I think it's quite fitting too that I'm starting my month long challenge on the day of a weigh in so it means a fresh set of weeklies and hopefully kicking it off with a loss to spur me on even further. If it's a gain (better not be cos I've been soooo good) then that might be just as big a kick in the butt to stick to it too but I'm not thinking about that because they will reward my willpower this week gosh darn it! ;)

The breaded mushrooms were sent to me by mistake by Tesco. They're Aunt Bessie's frozen ones, total convenience food but I pointed them and voila mushrooms with my steak. Quite hefty in points but i'm making the most of having a large daily allowance because it is slowly shrinking. I've gone from 62 to 60 and it will hopefully be in the 50's very soon! xx
