My Countdown - 20 Weeks to go!

People have cosmetic surgery all the time now, I'd never have liposuction, but would def have a tummy tuck.

Just got an email from the company I got my dress from and I ordered a us14. But if you actually check the measurements they specify for that size they are closer to a uk16. I'm going to get my size 12 friend to try it on and hopefully it drowns her! Lol

:) you should be fine then. just focus. you can do this. wish i could do it for you. it would give me something to do lol!

You've hit the most important nail on the head, you won't let your kids be the same! As will I, I don't ever want my kids to suffer in life like I have!

Hi Kez --

A US 14 is about a UK 16. However, it varies as do UK sizes. When I was at my lowest I was wearing some US 8s and some 6s, and UK 8s. It was as if the 8 was in between the two US sizes.

MM

P.S. The average American woman is a US size 14 and 5'7". And, keep in mind we have a lot tiny Asian-Americans factored into that figure.

Hehe, I wish someone could do it for me too! I'd even pay ya!

Bust 39, waist 30.5, hips 42.5

Those are the measurements my dress is made to.

think i've lost focus cause it's a daft 3lb. if it was 3st i'd be gunning for it now and not faffing around. time for a H2H with my CDC.

US 14 is about 39" bust, 32" waist and 43" hips.

So, it has a rather small waist for a size 14. Time for some crunches. ;)

@Great Things -- You have been working towards this goal for so long.. you are probably reluctant to finish.

However, you will now have to work on maintaining.

I found that not to difficult at first for about 7 months... then slowly the weight crept back on, just a pound of two a month -- then BAM! a big holiday gain and yoyoing, then another Holiday gain, then DENIAL.

And, after Christmas, I knew I was almost back to obese and started SSing. I have been back at for nearly a month. I expect it will take me at least two and half more months just to get back to goal.

MM

I think anyone doing ss is amazing and I think anyone that manages to maintain is even more amazing!

Yes, I was thinking it is a tiny waist, but maybe it is because it is wedding dress sizes. Luckily it is a corset back so hopefully will be forgiving.

i'm probably in denial that i'm actually ok now. i just like being on the 810 so i can have time out and then go back on it and not gain. i feel that i can't let go. i don't think that it's necessary for more weight loss i just can't let go. another 3lbs would be fab but wouldn't be the end of the world if it didn't happen.

i had a bad week last week with my mum's op and then seeing her leg partially gone and i had a bit of a melt down. first i couldn't physically eat, then i wanted to drink some wine etc.

i was ready for the op but obviously not as mentally prepared for the result as i thought i was.

i don't want to be like her when i'm older and i don't want my kids to go through what i've gone through.

i think that i'll always be doing cd to keep my weight 100% sorted.

i think i'll have a talk to my cdc as i think i need to do more exercise. not from next week but i'd like to do it from the following week.

i actually surprised myself last week as i haven't ran for a while with events taking place and i managed 4.5miles on the dreadmill. slower 11 min miles rather than 10 min miles.

so anyway, now i want to focus on being healthy.

p.s i know physically the 810 will not be that great for when i up my exercise to extreme.

Thanks Kez --

But SSing works so much better for me. Because it is so black and white. Give me an inch and I'll eat the whole pizza. I have no "portion control" and dreadful sweet tooth. I can handle NO, just not "it's okay to have a little". LOL

Corset Back? Sounds dead sexy!!!

I love it! I have to fit into this, because anything else just wouldn't be the same!

you should be fine to open it a little more. do you have a nice jacket type thing to go with it. you could get a bigger one and put over so that it hides the openness of it. like a small bolero thing? you could always pop on a beautiful shawl too.

p.s or get a fabulous veil. you will not see anything then.

There is actually an insert that goes behind the lacing, though it hasn't been used in this pic. I will get a bolero made nearer the time, depending on how much of my bingo wings I manage to lose.

Long veil would work well, or masses of hair extensions! Lol

ow to hair extensions. been there and done that with real hair and it hurts to sleep on them until your own hair has grown a little. you can also see the extension unless you get your hair and the extensions permed. washing, drying and style is also a swine. i would never get them again.

I was thinking about 1 day clip ins, I've not heard great things about perm ones. I was planning on having them anyway as my hair is so fine and I want half up half down but it to still look thick and full!
